As our Helpline Manager, and leader of a dedicated and skilled team, a key part of your role will be to ensure that high quality advice and support is provided, and that service users receive a timely response. When we talk about the helpline, we mean support via telephone, email, Healthunlocked (primarily online peer support) and our buddy service (peer support in advance of surgery).

Location: Home based with a requirement to work in the Ashford office on a regular basis (approx. once in every 2 weeks)
Hours: Full time (35 hours a week) with potential for occasional evening or weekend work

Alzheimer’s Research UK’s (ARUK’s) Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) team has seen rapid expansion and has big ambitions to improve our supporters’ fundraising experience, develop exciting fundraising products and drive income to power more world-class dementia research. Working across our sporting and mass participation fundraising products, you will deliver market-leading campaigns, develop creative and engaging supporter content and explore new channels of communication and re-engagement with our supporters to achieve further transformational growth.
The role requires an ambitious marketeer with previous product/event marketing experience, outstanding copywriting skills and an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing new social and digital technologies. Fundraising experience is not essential.
You will work alongside another Marketing Campaigns Officer to support the Marketing & Engagement Manager and the Senior Marketing & Engagement Manager on the development of SLF products and campaigns. You will provide excellent copywriting support to the SLF team and manage creative and media agency relationships. The role also works closely with the Sporting Events Managers, the Regional Fundraising Managers and their teams, as well as collaborating with colleagues in the Communications, Project Management, Digital and Data teams.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Manage the marketing activity for mass participation campaigns.
· Write clear, engaging and fun copy for campaigns, social media adverts, acquisition campaigns, emails and web.
· Work with agencies, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time campaign delivery.
· Own the overall marketing/comms calendar for key income-driving campaigns.
· Be innovative: review and implement new technologies to improve our campaigns, drive engagement and boost supporter experience.
· Help bring our new For A Cure brand messaging to life across all SLF marketing.
Campaign marketing: supporter acquisition
· Play a significant role in bringing thousands of new supporters to the charity through targeted, considered and tactical marketing campaigns.
· Lead the marketing campaigns for our Community, Sporting and Corporate fundraising challenges, which raise significant income for the charity each year.
· Provide the Supporter-led Fundraising team with copywriting support, marketing assets, and wider marketing support.
· Assist the Marketing & Engagement Manager and the Senior Marketing & Engagement Manager on product and proposition development to maximise income and attract new supporters.
· Work with our external agencies and partners, managing relationships where required.
· Work with internal stakeholders to ensure SLF campaigns are integrated across the charity to drive maximum value and awareness.
· Deliver all products on time, on budget and on brand.
· Contribute to campaign reviews and analysis, with proactive adaptation of plans to optimise results.
Engagement: supporter stewardship
· Write inspiring marketing copy and compelling communications to support SLF activities and drive action.
· Develop and write the automated email stewardship journey for key SLF fundraising campaigns and events.
· Develop reactivation campaigns to re-engage existing and lapsed SLF supporters.
Budget management and reporting
· Manage budgets, marketing spend and monitor campaign ROI.
· Work closely with the Digital and Data teams to ensure engagement, acquisition and remittance is monitored and evaluated (CPA, trend analysis, KPI tracking and lifetime value).
· Provide monthly campaign performance reporting and benchmarking against market trends.
Other duties
· Play a pivotal role in the delivery of over £8m income in the next year.
· Active involvement in the sector to ensure best practice.
· Ensure all activities comply with ARUK brand guidelines.
· Ensure GDPR compliance across all SLF teams.
· Ensuring compliance, including understanding and application of the ARUK Vulnerable Persons Policy, compliance with the FR Codes of Fundraising Practice, compliance with Gambling Commission, HMRC, DMA and ICO guidance and legislation.

Additional Information:

This post is a key appointment for the IOP, which consists of 140 staff, with offices in London, Dublin and Cardiff and staff spread across the UK and Ireland. The IOP is overseen by an elected Council of 18 trustees. Seenaryo is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for arts and education to join the team in the UK as Development Officer. The successful candidate will lead on philanthropic donor engagement and fundraising event management for the organisation. The role will be based in our London office, with regular contact via Zoom with our teams in Lebanon and Jordan. They will report to the Head of Communications and Engagement in the UK.

Responsibilities and Duties
DONOR ENGAGEMENT
- Managing and expanding philanthropic giving streams, by developing innovative initiatives that foster strong, lasting relationships with donors.
- Leading fundraising appeals, including Crowdfunders, direct debit and legacy campaigns.
- Growing Seenaryo’s network of philanthropic donors in the UK, proactively identifying potential supporters, as well as managing relationships with 200+ existing high net worth donors and a small number of family foundations.
- Managing Seenaryo’s public email mailbox and being the first point of contact for the organisation.
- Assisting with the production of case for support literature and other relevant fundraising materials.
- Developing and implementing a plan to grow monthly donors and increase their base level donations.
- Contributing to the development of a new fundraising strategy, including ideas for new events, initiatives and audiences in the UK.
- Overseeing donations at live events, tracking and accepting donations by card, cash and cheque.
- Developing a touch points strategy for our philanthropic donors.
- Working with the Head of Finance to track, acknowledge and report donations and provide relevant documentation
EVENT PLANNING
- Leading on fundraising events in the UK, particularly the annual Seenaryo Supper, handling everything from venue research, to overseeing contracts, coordinating volunteers, project managing on the night and guest list management.
- Supporting colleagues with UK theatre events and film screenings, liaising with partners on audience outreach, researching venues and securing speakers.
- Collaborating with the Lebanon and Jordan teams on live events, including fundraising events, conferences, theatre productions.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT
- Managing philanthropic donor records on the CRM.
- Tracking and acknowledging philanthropic donations.
- Managing Seenaryo’s newsletter mailing list.
- Quarterly Gift Aid submissions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES
As part of an ambitious and growing organisation with a shared mission, the role will also involve engaging with the UK team and wider organisation on other tasks not listed above, within reasonable expectation and in agreement with the Development Officer’s line manager. These tasks can also be developed as part of the role depending on the strengths of the candidate. For example:
- Creating social media content to support fundraising campaigns and UK events.
- Supporting the Head of Communications & Engagement to update and produce content for the website that contributes to donor engagement and fundraising.
- Building media relationships to promote UK events by preparing press releases and developing relationships with journalists.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A BA degree in a relevant field
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to create compelling fundraising materials and confidence to speak persuasively with new people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- A motivated self-starter who can use initiative and work independently
- An ability to work collaboratively within a small, multi-disciplinary team
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite (including Excel/Spreadsheets and Powerpoint/Slides), Google Drive and Zoom
- Right to work in the UK
- 1 year of experience within the charity, arts or education sectors (strongly preferred)
Desirable:
- Experience in fundraising, event or campaign planning

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engaging Communities Officer to join our Smithills Estate team to manage the coordination and delivery of the Smithills Estate Communication and engagement programme to support our vision of increasing opportunities for public access and participation.
The Role:
• The role will encourage existing and new audiences to explore the Smithills Estate landscape and, in doing so, develop their understanding of its importance, biodiversity, history, and longer-term potential through conservation measures, including a doubling of native woodland cover.
• You will be responsible for line managing two Events and Communications Officers, leading, motivating and developing them to their full potential.
• You will oversee and lead the planning and implementation of the Smithills Estate communications and engagement plan, ensuring it keeps in line with Youth Innovation, Tree Equity, PLANtrees, North regional strategy and links with northern forest. • Assist in fundraising and corporate partnership teams in supporting funding streams, helping to write reports, and gathering important information for bids and major donors.

• This is a 12-month maternity cover looking to start towards the end of April 2025.
• This role is based in Smithills, Bolton and will require the successful candidate to travel to and from site as well as around the region.

About the position
This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of HSI/UKs Individual Giving programme. You will be making an impact for animals by supporting projects across multiple communication channels to steward our wonderful supporters, ensuring they feel valued and helping to generate over £2million a year in sustainable income for Humane Society International/UK.
As part of the Individual Giving team, this role will largely support our direct mail appeal programme, regular giving programme and will be the first point of contact for supporter enquires – handling telephone calls, emails, social media and letters.
You will be responsible for ensuring supporters feel valued and appreciated through tailored communications to deliver an excellent supporter experience and will take a lead in coordinating our annual Thank-a-Thon – a direct way to say thank you to our supporters. You will also work closely with our suppliers in all aspects of the mailing process from creative concept through to delivery, as well as stewarding our amazing fundraisers who raise money for animals by taking part in marathons, bake sales and other events.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in our London office near Old Street tube in buzzy Shoreditch.

About the Individual Giving Team:
Our ambitious team is responsible for the recruitment and retention of individual supporters to raise £600k in 2025 with big and exciting plans to grow this significantly within the next 3 years.
We are a small but mighty team covering a range of channels across direct mail, DRTV and digital with plans to start telephone fundraising in 2025 as well as creating and delivering supporter journeys.
Part of a wider fundraising team of 8 who work across legacy, major donors, corporate and trusts – we work closely with our colleagues internationally both in the EU and the United States.
What we’re looking for in our Individual Giving Specialist
- Experience of working within a team in a similar role (e.g. fundraising/marketing), ideally with some experience in individual giving fundraising
- Experience of assisting with the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
- Experience of being in a front line supporter services role – confident in dealing with general enquiries
- Experience of admin activities such as database admin, invoicing, collating information for reports.

Duties and Responsibilites
Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.

As Head of Fundraising, you will have overall accountability for Trust’s fundraising strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role will work closely with the wider senior management team (SMT) and inspire and lead the Trust’s fundraising, marketing and communications team.
This role’s primary responsibilities will be as follows:
Strategic Development and Implementation
· Provide leadership, strategy and direction for the Trust’s fundraising, marketing and communications team comprising 16 in the UK and 3 in Nepal.
· Be part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contributing to the Trust’s wider vision and strategic direction as well as providing updates and reports for the SMT and Trustees.
· As the organisational expert on fundraising, work closely with the Trust CEO and SMT to ensure that all fundraising activity reflects the vision and agreed priorities of the Trust.
Fundraising
· Implement the Trust’s five-year fundraising strategy (income c.£14m pa), and be accountable for the delivery of operational plans, defining targets and identifying new sources of income.
· Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures ensuring all fundraising remains safe and legal, including all data held within the CRM
· Create a donor-centric culture within the Trust, implementing an accurate and robust system to deliver effective supporter journeys across all disciplines – individual giving, major donor, legacy, trust and corporate, and community fundraising.
· Keep abreast of current fundraising trends and standards as well as historic analysis of our own activities to optimise all fundraising approaches.
Budgeting and Reporting
· Preparation of the annual fundraining income and expenditure in line with the GWT budget cycle and management of in-year income and expenditure, including variance analysis of financial performance against budgets and forecasts for the 12-month period.
· Work closely with the Head of Finance GWT and the Finance team in Nepal to agree the details and split of unrestricted and restricted projects to be funded each year.

· Provide strategic direction to all areas of fundraising, nurturing team members to develop their knowledge and expertise, and maintaining a passionate and engaged group of staff committed to delivering excellence for the Trust.

The Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) is a Home Office-funded organisation working to increase awareness of the risks of strangulation, develop a research evidence base, and improve responses to victims and survivors. Since our establishment in 2022, we have become a recognised centre of excellence in this field, working in partnership with SafeLives and Bangor University.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator/Coordinator to join our small but impactful team. You will play a crucial role in providing administrative support, coordinating meetings and events, and ensuring smooth communication between IFAS, our partners, and key stakeholders.
Your work will directly contribute to our mission by supporting research, training, and awareness initiatives, ultimately helping to improve outcomes for victims and survivors. This is a remote role with occasional travel required for meetings and events.
About You
You will be a detail-oriented and efficient administrator with experience in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A passion for influencing positive change in society, particularly in areas related to domestic abuse and sexual violence, is highly desirable.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths, or relevant work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in an administrative support role, managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and digital communication tools
- Experience coordinating meetings, drafting agendas, and taking minutes
- Ability to problem-solve independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Knowledge or interest in domestic abuse, sexual violence, and related societal issues
- Experience with website content updates, Canva, Mailchimp, or WordPress
- Event and training coordination experience
