Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Scleroderma and/or Raynaud’s.  We exist to improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, to support those affected, and ultimately to find a cure.

The role

You will be working with an ambitious and diverse team to lead, shape and deliver communication and campaign strategies to raise awareness and understanding of Scleroderma & Raynaud’s. You will grow brand awareness and increase SRUK’s impact in achieving recognition for the needs of the community and the urgency of the cause. You will oversee SRUK’s communications, campaigns and marketing activities. A highly autonomous role, you will work closely with our research, services and fundraising teams, to drive forward a digital approach for all engagement and development activities. You will also line manage a Press & Social Media Officer and a Marketing Officer.

Requirements

· At least 8 years’ experience in a similar manager role or a senior officer ready for the next challenge of managing a communications and campaigns team.

· Strategy development, objective setting, planning, delivery and monitoring to reach organisational growth and engagement targets.

· Experience of leading communications & campaigns projects to inspire action and drive change.

· Commitment to and proven experience of engaging people with lived experience in communications activity.

· A proven track record in achieving positive coverage in a range of relevant media.

· Experience of social media strategy development and management to achieve growth and engagement.

· Experience of developing a range of content for different audiences and channels.

· Experience of using communications planning tools or systems (e.g. planning grids, Asana, Hootsuite).

ActionAid UK is currently recruiting for a Retention Specialist, who will primarily be responsible for developing effective campaign strategies, on time, and in line with ActionAid UK’s campaign strategy processes.

The Retention Specialist will  propose channel and campaign objectives and metrics and will also take responsibility for ensuring that outputs and outcomes are regularly monitored, evaluated and reported against the strategic objectives of the campaign. They will also communicate campaign launches and results to the wider team to ensure knowledge and key learnings are shared across the department.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have proven experience of planning and managing direct marketing campaigns in a fundraising context.

Applicants must also have previously held roles with a specific focus on campaigns that retain and develop supporters (preferably in Charity context).

If you have strong analytical skills to both evaluate and interpret campaigns, as well as to challenge the norm when it comes to data selections and effective targeting of communications, this may be the role for you.

Press Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, non negotiable and dependent on experience.

Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice are looking for a press officer to oversee our press and communications as we fight to ensure the mistakes from the pandemic are never repeated again.

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. The Head of Fundraising & Communication is responsible for the generation of funds for Kintsugi Hope by a variety of income streams and for ensuring the Kintsugi Hope brand and services are marketed throughout the UK. Fundraising Development Officer

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.

Purpose of Role

The Fundraising Development Officer will play a pivotal role in advancing our organisation's mission by managing and delivering a range of projects within the Fundraising and PR portfolio. This newly established role is integral to ensuring that our fundraising and public relations efforts are executed with precision, impact, and in alignment with our strategic objectives.

As the Fundraising & PR Development Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of specific initiatives, from initial planning and stakeholder engagement through to implementation, reporting, and analysis. Working closely with both internal teams and external partners, you will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

In addition to your project management responsibilities, you will be instrumental in driving innovation and continuous improvement within our Fundraising and PR functions. By analysing project outcomes and gathering insights, you will help refine our approach, ensuring that we remain responsive to the needs of our audiences and the ever-evolving external environment.

Key responsibilities:

Project manage specific fundraising and / or communication projects in line with the FR&PR team annual plans, including all associated activity from planning, budget forecasting, delivery and monitoring and evaluation.  This could include projects across the supporter lifecycle (e.g. acquisition / retention / stewardship) and across a wide range of products and audiences (e.g. cash, regular giving, prizes, lottery, in-memory and in celebration giving, legacies, challenge events, community or schools fundraising, media relations and / or PR focussed stunts and initiatives).

Working with colleagues, develop clear and robust activity testing plans to generate actionable insight and learning.

Collaborate with and / or manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery of agreed Fundraising or communication products or activities, maintaining accurate records and documentation. 

Work with colleagues to ensure audiences/relationships are segmented and stewarded effectively to maximise engagement and impact using the Customer Relationship Management system and the data we hold on our supporters as critical tools and information in your day to day work.

Participate in a wide-cross section of initiatives designed to raise awareness and funds in support of Comic Relief’s work.

Keep abreast of the fundraising marketplace to identify opportunities to enhance Comic Relief’s fundraising campaigns. 

Play an active role in the Fundraising Team, working collaboratively to enable inclusivity and diversity in order to drive high performance and an action-oriented culture, 

Play an active part in the development of annual plans and budgets, taking key learnings from previous activity and making recommendations to facilitate income growth. 

Person specification

Essential criteria

Proven knowledge and experience in a business to consumer direct marketing or digital marketing environment. 

Able to demonstrate competence in project management, with experience of end to end project delivery and autonomously managing own time to meet deadlines.

Experience of developing and implementing robust testing strategies, reporting back on performance data and making recommendations based on analysis

Understanding of relationship marketing; audience segmentation and targeting

Understanding of and experience of using a CRM system and related analysis or marketing tools

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent communication and numeracy skills, proficient in MS packages

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with effective stakeholder management experience

Able to demonstrate willingness to learn and develop in a fluid, high impact environment. 

Desirable criteria 

Previous experience in a fundraising focussed role

Experience of working on through the line marketing campaigns, including a range of online and offline media and channels to generate income

Experience working across a range of fundraising products / asks such as Individual Giving (cash and RG), In Memory Giving, Prizes, Gaming

Experience of innovation techniques and / or new product development approaches

Experience of working on PR initiatives and with stakeholders in the media

Global Fund for Children is looking for a Development Officer to join our global Strategic Partnerships Team in an exciting new UK-based role. Your main responsibility will be to help steward our active relationships with donors and supporters around the world, manage delivery of key grant outputs, and build relationships with philanthropic funders and foundations.

 This role will require engagement with our global staff team, alongside senior leadership and key stakeholders, and our expansive network of community partners around the world. You’ll help to develop strategies that build our relationships with key donors, ensuring all our reporting output is of a consistently high quality. This role will have a truly global reach with a primary focus on supporting programming and donor relationships for our work in the UK, Europe and Africa.

 You will be passionate about maintaining the quality and performance of all our outputs to donors and supporters, and have a track record of being highly organized, an ability to manage multiple priorities and an ability to work to a deadline, to ensure we achieve our ambitious goals and objectives. 

 You will be just one part of a growing and extremely ambitious and successful Development, Marketing and Communications (DMC) team based in the UK, US, and around the world. You will play an important part in the successful implementation of projects with our staff team based in more than 20 countries globally – including colleagues from Programs, Finance, Learning & Evaluation, and Safeguarding.

 What will you be doing?

• Manage the global calendar of donor deliverables for the Development team

• Consistently create and deliver compelling reports and other donor deliverables, according to our grant agreements, including collecting data, writing content, reviewing financial information, and ensuring compliance details.

• Work collaboratively across the Development team, engaging with key stakeholders, to deliver on strategic goals and KPIs.

• Liaise with Program and Finance colleagues to share grant requirements and reporting expectations, build reports and deliver high -quality stewardship items. 

• Work alongside the team to keep an accurate record of donor relationships in Salesforce, including stakeholder information, notes from meetings, reporting and submission deadlines, and correspondence with donor staff 

• Build and develop new relationships with prospective foundation donors and foundation fundraising strategy in collaboration with Senior Manager and Vice President for Strategic Partnerships 

• Represent the organisation, both internally and externally where opportunities arise, including donor visits, public events, and partner convenings 

• Keep abreast and keep the wider team updated of best practices and trends in the philanthropy sector, scoping out strategic opportunities to help us engage new prospective donors

• Contribute to the development of a strong values-based team culture across different countries, areas and streams of work

What are your experience and skills? 

Our ideal Development Officer for Strategic Partnerships will have:

• Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to plan, prioritize and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines

• Excellent writing skills, including development of compelling communications to engage donors and prospects 

• Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to work across teams and build strong internal and external networks

• Passion for supporting and developing people to achieve their potential

• Experience working in a hybrid setting across a variety of time zones, and the confidence and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy team.

• Experience working with a development/fundraising team to deliver financial goals or partnership deliverables.

• An understanding of the funder and wider philanthropy system in the UK, US, and/or globally

• Experience coordinating with a diverse range of colleagues to develop concept notes and funding proposals

Salary – UK-based salary range for this role will be £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience

Weekly hours – 35 hours per week.

Holidays – 30 days annual leave and 8 public holidays. The basic annual leave allowance increases to 35 days after 4 years of continuous employment.

Flexible Working Location – This is a hybrid position that is based in the UK. GFC is open to applications to those who will regularly visit our London office.

The Lead of Grants and Programmes plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact. 

The Lead will oversee several portfolios of work within the grants and programmes function at Battersea, as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. Over the coming five years, it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making, and other forms of programming will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad. 

This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, impact measurement, good grant making practice and implementing strategic programmes. 

The successful postholder should be comfortable empowering others, taking a coaching approach to team management and in supporting the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should also be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.
