We’re looking for someone who can inspire and collaborate, building strong, positive relationship. As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser’s, you’ll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

Location: Hybrid working - Part London office-based and part home working. The post holder will work a minimum of one day a week in the office.

Salary: £40,450 per annum 

Hours: 35 hours per week

Who we are looking for 

We’re looking for a strategic and creative Content & Communications Manager to lead the development and delivery of our multi-channel content. You will curate, create, and commission dynamic, multi-channel content that supports our mission to accelerate access to new technologies and treatments, advance research toward cures, and provide trusted resources to support people with T1D. 

Collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with people living with T1D, researchers, and advocates to amplify authentic voices and create well-evidenced content that informs and inspires. You'll also manage media relations, securing coverage to raise awareness of T1D and our work. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Using your excellent written and oral communication skills to create engaging content 

• Planning content with multiple internal stakeholders from brief to delivery, ensuring a regular feed of content that meets organisational goals 

• Managing and motivating a team of content specialists 

• Working within a proactive press office, creating media plans, responding to enquiries and stewarding journalists. 

• Managing external agencies and freelancers, keeping work within scope and budget 

• Using tone of voice and brand guidelines to ensure consistency of content output 

• Building trust and good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

• Training others to create audience-focussed content 

• Using brand insight, UX, audience segmentation and design processes to deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns to increase engagement 

• Using analytical data to examine existing content and inform future content creation 

• Telling personal stories in a sensitive, creative and engaging way. 

• Flexing language to suit the intended audience

• Developing, coaching and motivating line reports

• Managing team resources, working out the most efficient ways to deliver high-impact content

In our recent report “Time to Act: A New Review of Kidney Health Inequalities” one of the urgent priorities highlighted the need for additional services and new approaches for high-risk and underserved group to reduce the risk of developing kidney disease or prevent kidney disease progressing in those that have it. 
 
To help achieve this we are significantly expanding our peer educator initiative, an evidence-based and multi award winning model to engage and reach underserved communities, support health awareness and literacy and instigate behavioural change; delivered by trusted, trained peer educators through attendance at events and community spaces. We aim to scale up the roll out and adoption of peer educators within the care pathway across the UK, with a particular focus on improving early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease and associated conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. 
 
This new post will play a significant role in the growth of the peer education programme and the initial focus of the role will be to:   

• Coordinate the development and delivery of the Peterborough peer educator project 
• Support the development and delivery of the UK wide peer educator programme

 
You will have knowledge of health inequalities and experience in effective community outreach and engagement as well as experience of project delivery, ideally in a health-related role. In addition, you will have clinical experience in a related area.

You’ll need strong project management tools to keep priorities on track and delivered to budget.

The Health data specialist will play a key role in our ambitious 2020-2030 strategy. We're seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual who thrives on leveraging health data to drive positive change.

In this new role, you’ll ensure Kidney Research UK has access to and uses external health data effectively to provide high-quality evidence and insight to a wide audience and remains intelligence-led across all its operations.

The post-holder will deliver a core health data intelligence service, ensuring the Policy, Programmes and Communications Teams, along with the wider staff group, have access to a wide range of high-quality health analytics assets. The role will lead on delivering discrete pieces of original quantitative analysis, along with supporting analytics work led by other team members. The role will also involve supporting or leading the delivery of any required data analysis or health economics work, as required.

This will include the management of our health statistics sign-off process, reviewing other colleagues’ use of quantitative health data evidence for external-facing resources and leading on commissioned health economics projects.

A commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative spirit is key. You'll possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in Microsoft 365 applications, ideally including Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint. Confidence querying databases is equally important, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of data owners and stakeholders.

The ability to showcase insights through clear and informative visualisations - charts, tables, and dashboards - is essential for both internal and external audiences.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Signposting and Collection Session Coordinator as part of our Foodbank team. This new role will provide dedicated 1-2-1 support to people accessing the Foodbank, delivering Foodbank collection sessions and developing our remote and in-person signposting and support for those accessing the Foodbank. This is a fast-faced, person-centered role, having a direct impact on the lives of local people experiencing hardship

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

• Providing operational support to Foodbank collection centres in host venues across Lambeth and Croydon
• Providing and developing wraparound support to those accessing the Foodbank
• Delivering and developing in-person and remote signposting
• Working with volunteers, partner organisations and host venues to provide effective and efficient support through collection sessions and beyond

The successful post holder must have:

• Proven experience of working or volunteering within a not-for-profit organisation/other food bank
• Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs
• Excellent communication skills
