We are looking for an HR Business Partner who can help develop our people and teams, supporting a positive culture built on our relationships, vision, and ethos.  

Oasis exists to create healthy thriving communities and reduce exclusion, through a holistic approach to community development and social innovation. Our work is centred in local communities where we provide education; youth, children and families work; and community services. We are also working in reducing homelessness, the prevention of human trafficking, and the creation of the UK’s first secure school, Oasis Restore.

Oasis’ work and mission has grown rapidly in the last decade. We are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to help us move into our next phase of growth and build the capacity of our Oasis Operations Team. 

This is a new and integral position in our charity, so you will need solid employee relation experience and employment law knowledge, to advise managers confidently. Working as part of the established Operations Team, you will also input into finance and budgets, recruitment at senior levels, and developing our policies in line with our ethos and 9 Habits. It’s a bit of everything, which is what makes this role exciting and a great opportunity for someone who is eager to get hands-on experience in working on the People Strategy of a national charity. As part of the wider Oasis family you will be well supported; being able to work collaboratively with different teams and functions, as well as managing your own workload, is essential.

The Miscarriage Association is a national charity dedicated to providing support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy. We also raise awareness of the impact of loss, advocate for those affected and challenge the taboos that can make miscarriage a lonely as well as distressing experience.

We are now looking for a Head of Operations and Service Delivery to help us develop and deliver our core support, information and training services in line with our new three-year strategy. Working alongside the CEO, you will contribute to the charity’s strategic vision and plans and help to translate these into operational activity and KPIs.

Managing a staff team of four, you will be responsible for ensuring the expansion and smooth running of our helpline, live chat and other direct contact services, putting in place effective systems to measure the quality and impact of these.

You’ll oversee the volunteers’ strategy and programme and manage and develop our training offer for health professionals and employers, working with the staff team and freelance support to deliver these.

Working alongside the support and communications team, you will also oversee the production and distribution of our highly regarded patient information leaflets, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.

You will also support the CEO in day-to-day operations of the charity: liaising with our IT, telecoms and other suppliers; reviewing and updating, where necessary, HR policies and procedures; looking after day-to-day financial processes; and general risk management.

Triangle of Care UK Programme Lead

The Triangle of Care UK Programme Lead has responsibility for managing the implementation of the Triangle of Care.  This dynamic quality improvement framework, pioneered by carers within secondary mental health settings and now recognised within wider national policy,  is based on six principles which health and care providers can use to include and support unpaid carers, staff and those receiving care.

The Magpie Project supports women with preschool children who are living in temporary or insecure accommodation in Newham and other London boroughs. We provide stay-and-play sessions alongside casework around housing, immigration, and other related issues, plus healthy home-made food, a baby bank, and a focus on high-quality play and creativity for mums and minis to foster a sense of joy and belonging.
We advocate and campaign, alongside our mums, on the issues which have the greatest impact on their lives. We have grown quickly since our birth in 2017, and we now support over 500 families a year with 11 members of staff and a turnover of approximately £500,000 pa.
We are in a positive position with regards to our fundraising and finances, with several long-term core grants as well as smaller project grants, a number of corporate partners who donate both time and money to the project, and a loyal community of individual donors and fundraisers.

We are looking for someone with a passion for writing and communicating with donors of different kinds. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Manager: Green Impact

We are excited to be recruiting for a new Project Manager to deliver our national sustainability engagement programme, Green Impact.

ROLE SPECIFICS

Location: Hybrid in London or South-East England

Due to the location of participating Green Impact organisations, this role will be based in London or South-East England, with regular travel throughout the region, as well as some UK-wide travel. We are a primarily home-based organisation, but we have a London office space available to staff.

Working patterns: Fixed term until September 2025, with possibility of extending. 35 hours per week. The role involves weekly UK-wide travel with some early starts and late returns, and up to six overnight stays per year. Homeworkers will be expected to work remotely on a regular basis. Flexible work patterns/ job share opportunities open to negotiation. 0.6FTE to full time opportunities will be considered.

Salary: Starting salary £30,413 per annum plus Inner London Weighting of £3,405 for London-based employees. We provide up to 6% pension contribution, with life assurance for all those in the pension scheme.

Through the provision of an integrated service proposition, you will ensure that the charity is providing an integrated service offer that encompasses national, devolved nations, community-based service provision and digital based services to continuously provide the community with an easily accessible and relevant suite of services. We are working in partnership with Age UK Birmingham, who empower people aged 50+ to live with dignity, respect, good health and wellbeing, and can access services, support to meet their needs.  They support people across Birmingham, Sandwell and surrounding areas to enrich their lives and live independently.

About the role: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with experience of business development, operational delivery, and project management to join Repowering London’s growing team. You will be a core part of our mission to tackle climate change and move towards a more inclusive and sustainable future. 

You will be responsible for delivering existing projects that provide energy efficiency, low-carbon heat and other retrofit support for homes in London, including managing our existing domestic retrofit team. This will include street-level, single-dwelling homes as well as a growing focus on blocks of flats and multi-occupancy buildings. You will also support the Community Retrofit Director to develop a sustainable commercial offer for low-carbon heat and energy efficiency retrofit services. The aim is for Repowering London to offer these services on an ongoing basis with a sustainable business and delivery model. This would include reviewing our opportunity analysis, finalising the growth strategy and business case for approval by the executive team, and leading on implementation. We expect to see the initial launch of a commercial offer for property owners within 12 months of starting the role. 

Additionally, you would support and coordinate with the existing rooftop solar and non-domestic retrofit team, to help identify synergies and build the foundations for the medium-term integration of our rooftop solar and heat decarbonisation offer in a holistic low-carbon retrofit service for both domestic and non-domestic buildings. 

You will be supported by our Retrofit Assessor, Retrofit Coordinator, and retrofit outreach team, who you will also line manage. You will also be supported by your line manager, the Community Retrofit Director, and operationally by the wider team, including our Non-Domestic Retrofit Programme Manager, Communications Officer, Finance Officer, and Corporate Support Officer. You will also be part of the Repowering London Management Team – Directors and Programme Managers – to oversee effective and successful operations across the whole organisation.

The right candidate will have a high level of project management and business development experience, with a track record in leading and building teams. You will be comfortable working collaboratively and managing a number of staff and external contractors. Your role will include building relationships with a range of partners, including Local Authorities, technical project partners, grant-making bodies, financial institutions, and building owners, providing strategic oversight and quality control of the work Repowering London are responsible for.

Your role as Domestic Retrofit Programme Manager 

As our Domestic Retrofit Programme Manager, you will be the propulsive energy behind establishing and developing our growing low carbon retrofit service. To date Repowering London’s domestic retrofit offer has focused on research and development for innovative approaches to unlocking retrofit at blocks of flats, and delivering place-based domestic retrofit services in Lambeth and Newham that aims to increase awareness of retrofit as well as increase uptake of retrofit, either through existing retrofit grant schemes such as ECO or through working with the able-to-pay market. So far, this offer has been developed through grant funding, while our ambition is to develop sustainable business models to deliver these services ongoing.

Your role would be to build on this initial work with the completion of the business model and commercial terms, the development of a staged strategy for market entry, and to then launch and grow the new service. You will work closely with Repowering London’s Community Retrofit Director, Rooftop Solar and Non-Domestic Retrofit Teams, as well as the Executive Team, to share knowledge and leads, and to support the integration of our operations into a holistic retrofit service. 

You will be part of Repowering’s Management Team and line managed by our Community Retrofit Director.  Working with our Communications Officer, you will also agree messaging and develop materials to communicate Repowering London’s offer to different types of property owner.

You will be fully accountable for the management, leadership, and sustainable growth of the internship programme in alignment with our objectives. Your responsibilities will include line management, budgeting with the senior management team and deputising for the Executive Director with full operational oversight of all Generate projects.
