We’re looking for an experienced Change Programme Manager to join our Programme Development team on a maternity cover basis. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team who are responsible for the delivery of key changes to our programmes. The team develop market-leading programmes that combine face-to-face and digital learning to support young people.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Programme Development roadmap, ensuring that projects are effectively initiated, scoped and delivered successfully; on time, on budget and to requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across The Trust to successfully deliver these projects throughout the delivery life cycle from inception to launch, including proactively managing risks and issues and ensuring control of project timelines, budgets and deliverables.

About you

The Finance and Support Services Manager will be a highly skilled professional with a strong background in financial management, risk control, and compliance. They will ensure adherence to the organisational Financial Framework, including implementing financial management and controls, planning and budgeting, monitoring and audits, and maintaining financial records. The manager will also ensure compliance with local regulations and governance requirements.

The ideal candidate will support and strengthen financial management, accountability, and capacities of partners, fostering collaboration between finance and programme teams for joint project/programme reviews, planning, and analysis. Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant professional accounting qualification or a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or relevant volunteering or work experience.
• Demonstratable working experience, ideally in an INGO environment, but experience in audit and government organisations would also be advantageous.
• Experience in financial management, programme and project management, and administration.
• Project financial management and data analysis skills.
• Ability to represent Sightsavers with key external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in IT skills, including Excel, MS Word, an accounting package, and emailing.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Social Media Manager to deliver an exceptional experience for our audiences across our social media channels.  

·       Manage day-to-day organic social media activity across 3 charity brands, including the creation of basic static and video content and daily community management.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a grassroots movement working for nature’s recovery and to bring people closer to nature.

We are seeking a Wilder Communities Officer (Basingstoke, Winchester and Petersfield) to join our cause.  

We need to create a wilder Hampshire and a wilder Isle of Wight. Wildlife is in freefall both locally and nationally and we need many, many more people on nature’s side if we are to tip the balance in favour of nature’s recovery. 

We need a talented community organiser to work with us on an exciting project to help wildlife flourish in urban areas across Winchester, Basingstoke and Petersfield and bring people together to tackle the climate and nature emergencies, as part of Team Wilder. This person will be working with and supporting communities, individuals, local groups and volunteers across Hampshire. 

The role will focus on catalysing and supporting self-sustaining community led initiatives to support wildlife –this could be anything from greening community spaces or streets, improving areas for particular wildlife such as pollinators, bats, swifts or hedgehogs to setting up groups to tackle problems such as litter or household pollution or influencing others, including local government and businesses, to take action. This role will also require key partnership engagement and the ability to see opportunities to link Wilder to existing and emerging third-party initiatives. This role sits within the Advocacy and Engagement team and will work with others in the team and across the Trust to help build Team Wilder as a key strand of the Trust’s strategy.

Purpose of Role

As a Senior PR Officer, you will play an important role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2025 campaign, that inspire people to get involved and demonstrate the life changing work donations make possible. 

You will work across a broad and exciting range of projects that creatively combine the worlds of entertainment and charity whilst driving income, awareness, and brand consideration at a time when the charity gets set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.

You will need to have a thorough understanding of the UK media landscape, feel confident in approaching journalists with new ideas and have proven success in generating quality print, online and broadcast coverage at both a regional and national level. 

Running Comic Relief’s busy Press Office alongside PR campaigns is a responsibility shared by all team members. You will be required to take an active role in managing media enquiries in a timely and accurate manner, media monitoring and evaluation, and join the on-call rota for out-of-hours and weekend support. 

This role may require occasional UK wide travel to manage media opportunities. 

Key responsibilities:

Join the on-call rota alongside other members of the team for out-of-hours and weekend cover

Monitor the press regularly to identify appropriate opportunities and potential threats to the promotion of the work of Comic Relief. Work to protect and enhance Comic Relief’s reputation and work closely with internal and external stakeholders if issues arise. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Young Marketeers

This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years.  The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives.  Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall.  Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

Key Tasks include:

· Recruit four schools to take part in Young Marketeers

· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

· Schedule, organise and deliver

o One assembly in each school

o Two food growing sessions in each school

o One market trader training session in each school

o Market Day in the city centre in July for four schools

· Maintain accurate records relating to the programme

• Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
• Take photos of workshops and events where possible
• Keep Development Manager fully updated on progress

· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures

• Maintain the ethos of the charity and positively promote our work at all times

Person specification

Essential  

· Experience of delivering food growing sessions to children

· Knowledge of fruit and vegetable growing

· Excellent administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail

· Excellent IT skills including excel, word and email

· Experience of building relationships with partner organisations and individuals 

· Ability to work in a team, and seek help when needed

· Self-motivated and optimistic with a can-do attitude

Desirable  

· Experience of working for a charity or not for profit organisation

· Experience of working in primary schools and engaging children

Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University.  Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.

The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager

The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.

Salary –  £30,124.49 (Please not this is NOT pro rata. Discovery is a 4 day week organisation, the salary specified above is for a 28 hr working week.)

Working hours 28 per week (we are a 4 day week organisation)

Normal working hours will be agreed between 9 and 5.30, Tuesday to Friday  with a half hour unpaid lunch break, some out of hours working will be expected for which time of in lieu will be granted. Exact working hours to be agreed with the Director.

Annual leave allowance – 26 days pro rata plus bank holidays. Usually taken outside of term time and must be agreed with the line manager.

Pension 5% employer contribution to NEST scheme after 3 months employment (employee contribution will be inline with statutory requirements)

As Database Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in importing and reconciling donation data from various sources into the Raiser’s Edge system, managing regular gift administration, and maintaining data quality and GDPR compliance. You will also support the fundraising team by generating data selections for appeals, providing reports on fundraising performance, and offering training on data processes to colleagues. Your work will directly impact the charity’s ability to connect with donors and drive fundraising initiatives, helping them continue their vital work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Donation Processing: Importing and reconciling donation data from various sources into the Raiser’s Edge system, ensuring timely and accurate income processing.
• Database Maintenance: Maintaining the quality and integrity of the database, including GDPR compliance, updating consent records, and consolidating duplicate entries.
• Support for Fundraising Teams: Providing data selections, reports, and support to fundraising teams for campaigns and donor communications.
• Collaboration with Finance: Working closely with the finance team to reconcile gift income and manage Gift Aid claims.
