This role is a core part of Pecan’s senior leadership team (SLT), working to develop strategic direction and playing a play a key role in the organisation’s aim to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged people in our community.

You will enable Pecan’s frontline team to deliver the highest possible standards of service.  You will have responsibility for Employment Support, Southwark & Lewisham Women’s Service and Together community projects. This role also oversees Marketing & Communications and Partnerships. It will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and is the Safeguarding Lead and the Equalities Lead

Main Responsibilities:

• To play a significant role in the pastoral care and wellbeing of staff and volunteers ensuring they feel supported and safe at work and have access to wellbeing support

People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training

• With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
• Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
• Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
• Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training
• Lead on monitoring and evaluation of, and learning from, People’s Economy’s training work ensuring that it informs the subsequent development of training
• With support from the Programme Director create and implement plans to build and maintain our training infrastructure and increase our training capacity.

Training for Changemakers

• With support from the Programme Director, design and develop our training offer.
• Lead the implementation of training, including: ○ Work with the Head of Community to develop processes to recruit and onboard changemakers to training opportunities ○ Design training workshops, working in accordance with People’s Economy’s community education framework and principles ○ Oversee the delivery of training workshops facilitated by other staff and freelancers 
• Work collaboratively with the Programme Team to ensure a joined up approach across our work with changemakers

Develop paid training work

• With support from the Programme Director, take a strategic approach to identifying and developing opportunities to undertake paid training work that can both meet People’s Economy’s goals and generate unrestricted income for the organisation
• Hold key relationships, as agreed with the Programme Director, with organisations and individuals who are current and potential clients for paid training work

Supporting other work strands

• Feed in from a training perspective to the development of People’s Economy’s changemaker community of practice led by the Head of Community
• Feed in from a training perspective to the development and implementation of the organisational communications strategy

Managing projects and people

• Work with the Head of People and Operations to recruit and manage a pool of freelancer Associate Trainers to help deliver People’s Economy’s training work, and lead the training of freelancers to do this work
• Manage freelancers contributing to People’s Economy’s training work and any staff roles which (in future) report to Head of Training
• Manage (or contribute to) non-programme projects that contribute to achieving People’s Economy’s goals, as agreed with the Programme Director
• Work collaboratively with the Programme Team to ensure a joined up approach across People’s Economy’s work

Financial management and income generation

• With support from the Programme Director, develop and manage budgets when leading programmes and projects

• Support the Head of Companion Animals with strategy development and implementation as necessary. 
• Deputise for the Head at internal and external meetings.

• Be a lead representative for the Society at meetings on extreme breeding to promote its objectives to key stakeholders and target audiences up to the highest levels including government ministers, MPs and senior civil servants, industry and other external bodies, committees, working groups, government representatives and working groups and think tanks and produce associated briefing papers and reports.
• To produce reports on extreme breeding and other companion animal issues, and contribute to departmental newsletters and information sheets and material for RSPCA publications.

What makes a great Scientific and Policy Manager?

To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have: 

• A degree level qualification in a relevant biological discipline, plus relevant experience.
• Specific and extensive expertise relevant to animal welfare and companion animals specific to the post.
• A broad knowledge and understanding of animal welfare issues.
• An excellent knowledge and understanding of legislation, regulations and relevant organisations in government, industry.
• Proven experience of developing and implementing successful theories of change and impactful strategies with clear outcomes and objectives. 
• Proven experience of high level influencing.
• The ability to build and utilise networks of contacts effectively and to work in coalition with others.

The post holder will be one of two professionals responsible for family finding for children with a care plan of adoption within the local area.

The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. Job Purpose

· To manage our Young Marketeers programme across England

Key Tasks include:

Staff management and training

• Provide support and training to a team of freelance Project Officers/Gardeners across the country

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Creating, developing and evaluating hyh’s online and social media presence to engage supporters, stakeholders and the wider public and to maximise digital fundraising opportunities. The role also supports the development of digital content to support service delivery at the charity leading on public and internal comms.  

The Digital Communications Assistant will:

Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising & Communications strategy as a member of the Fundraising & Communications Team

Improve supporter acquisition and retention through digital channels, building engagement and loyalty.

Source, generate, edit, schedule and post written, visual, audio and video content that drives brand awareness, is shareable and encourages actions to generate income.

With guidance, deliver outstanding and innovative communications for different audiences and across multiple channels which align with hyh’s Comms plan.

Inspire, inform and motivate supporters to give to hyh as well as demonstrating the impact of their donations on beneficiaries. 

Learn to manage a calendar programme of social media and website activity.

After training, act as the first point of contact for social media and our website, responding appropriately and championing and signposting people to the work of hyh

Create and update content for hyh’s website

Develop and grow TikTok content which is engaging and educational, becoming hyh’s expert on this channel

In this exciting role, you will be responsible shaping and delivering Bonsucro´s communications strategy and overseeing the day-to-day management of a small communications function. A crucial part of this role is to ensure that colleagues, the Bonsucro board and external stakeholders are provided with tools and resources to confidently and effectively communicate about the organisation and its mission.

Bonsucro is the global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane. Our purpose is to collectively accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane. We work with people and organisations across the sugarcane supply chain, including small scale farmers and some of the world’s biggest brands.

Climate change, human rights, farmer livelihoods, women’s empowerment, pesticide reduction, and water use are some of the issues that Bonsucro works on. As our Communications and Events Manager you will be expected to create narratives on these issues and link this to Bonsucro’s work on standards and certification,  market development and collective action.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in strategy, planning and delivery of communications and events in a comparable organisation. You are versatile and stakeholder-oriented and comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple concurrent priorities, deadlines and activities. Your strength lies in creating compelling content and results-driven campaigns that supports the achievement of higher-level strategic goals. You bring a track record of turning very technical and complex information into compelling content and have some insight into agricultural production systems and/or Bonsucro’s countries of operation outside of the UK.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and delivery

• Develop and execute effective communications strategies to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s profile, reputation and, as a result, to attract new members and partners
• Develop and manage effective communications tools, channels and partnership with media service providers, to deliver on the agreed communications strategy.
• Develop and implement monitoring processes to assess the effectiveness of Bonsucro’s communications strategies, outputs and channels in order to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Line manage the Communications and Events Coordinator to ensure delivery against plans, timelines and quality work and personal development and growth
• Develop and tailor to stakeholder needs and interest a series of events to contribute to effective member engagement and strengthen Bonsucro’s profile as a convening actor.  
• Develop and deliver the Annual Operational Plan for the Communications and Events function in line with organisational quality standards, adapting to changing context and needs where relevant.

Messaging and content

• Tailor Bonsucro’s key messages to targeted audiences and communications (e.g. articles, press releases and statements) in various languages as needed to ensure consistency of communications across channels, regions and media.
• Develop compelling sustainability ‘impact’ stories from regions and projects and on specific sustainability issues to promote Bonsucro’s impact.

Branding and stakeholder guidance

• Advise and build the capacity of other functional teams on how to effectively communicate about Bonsucro, making them aware of key messages and channels to use to increase the impact of Bonsucro’s communications.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on adherence to brand guidelines to ensure consistency and appropriateness of use.
• Coordinate and monitor services delivered by sub-contractors
• Act as a representative of the company, where relevant, with both internal and external stakeholders.

Channels, reports and events

• Maintain and optimise an effective public facing website and social media presence to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s external profile and community building.
• Oversee logistics, planning and delivery of key Bonsucro’s events, in particular Bonsucro Global Week.
• Continuously improve and evolve Bonsucro’s external reports (e.g. Outcome report, Annual report etc) to ensure clarity of layout and language and strengthen them as tools to increase Bonsucro’s profile and value back to members.
• Regularly report on operational progress updates to the Director of Engagement and Markets and other teams to identify areas of strengths and continuous improvement.
• Identify, track and monitor appropriate KPIs that assess the effectiveness of the communications strategies and plans and which inform decision-making.

Essential criteria

• Significant prior experience in development and implementation of communications strategies and a full range of media        services, ideally in a global context
• Strong technical acumen in relation to all aspects of communications and events delivery
• Previous line-management experience and experience in managing moderate budgets
• Significant experience in writing, editing and publishing compelling content
• Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging campaigns and stories
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills for a range of media (online and print), including the ability to convey complex          ideas clearly and simply.

The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration for its own estate. For this reason CCT has been contracted to deliver a programme of work for Historic Chapels Trust (HCT). HCT owns and cares for 20 of the most significant Nonconformist and Catholic chapels no longer in regular use by their congregations, all listed at Grade I and Grade II*.  Key to the project is management of the assets, funded by the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) through their Cultural Assets Fund (CAF).

As a member of CCT’s national Conservation team you will be the main point of contact for all chapel maintenance related issues, liaising closely with contractors, local groups and volunteers. Alongside the Conservation Projects Manager for Chapels you will deliver the maintenance programme, including regulatory and legal compliance, as well as deal with utilities and insurance of chapels. 10 of the chapels are in our North region, 6 in our West region and 4 are in our South East region.

You will have previous experience in the field of historic buildings maintenance, repair or property management. You will be an effective communicator, be able to plan and deliver your own workload and also work as part of a team. As you’ll be working at chapels throughout England it is essential you have a full driving licence.
