As well as dealing directly with Carers, the postholder will provide critical administrative support to the organisation and senior staff. We are a remote organisation, with staff working across the UK. Are you an experienced Counsellor looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a difference? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join us and line manage our small team of passionate counsellors.
Working closely with the Therapeutic Wellbeing Service Manager your role will work to ensure delivery of a high-quality counselling service to children and young people that is trauma-informed ,ethical and supports key outcomes. Supporting the team of CYP counsellors and the wider counselling team to develop and maintain a safe, professional and accessible service.
You will also work with the Therapeutic Wellbeing Service Management Team and Clinical Supervisors to ensure services are delivered to a high standard in line with TLC’s values and the BACP Ethical Framework.
The Role
Provide line management support to counsellors through regular one-to-ones, performance appraisals, team meetings, sickness and performance management.
You will oversee and manage weekly Triage Meetings to ensure referrals are processed quickly, needs-based assessments are completed and timely decisions around the best type of support are made, ensuring children and young people’s voices are central to the process.
You will carry a small case load of clients and monitor the delivery levels across the counselling team and pro-actively allocate cases to counsellors and emotional wellbeing workers in the most efficient way possible.
Contribute and support the Therapeutic Wellbeing Service Manager to produce high quality reports reporting back to commissioners/funders.
Work with the Therapeutic Wellbeing Management Team and wider TLC Teams to review, monitor and improve services, ensuring that the needs of the people receiving counselling are prioritised and their journey though the organisation is as smooth and uncomplicated as possible.
About you
Experience: 5+ years working with children and young people. You’ll be experienced in trauma-informed care.
Skills: Held previous line management, leadership or coaching responsibilities. Strong knowledge in safeguarding, risk assessment, and therapy frameworks. Great communication skills and the ability to work flexibly.
Qualifications: Level 4 or above qualification and registered with BACP/UKCP/HCPC.

As Project Support Officer you will support our Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation, and giving our volunteers a fantastic experience. You will support Project Leaders in running our community meal projects, and will give extra support to our projects as and when required.
This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, recruiting new Project Leaders for the Region, or attending projects. This is a Senior Supervising Social Worker role with a focus on the matching process to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people who have experienced trauma due to adverse childhood experiences. The successful candidate will need to be confident in negotiating fostering fees, attending commissioning meetings, and adopting a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach when sharing monitoring information with local authorities. The successful candidate will also be required to complete inductions for new carers.
Whilst being homebased, the Senior Supervising Social Worker will visit and support foster families across the TACT South West area including Bristol, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, Bath & North East, and Somerset but will also travel within the wider region for team meetings, training, and other in-person events.
Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- Experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
- Knowledge of matching criteria and stability of placements.
- Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars.

We are seeking an additional Support Network Coordinator to cover the South Central region (Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Northants and Oxon).

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to SCI people and their families in their region of the UK.
The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:
- In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families:
- Developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex needs.
- Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and the network of services:
- Referring SCI people and their families to our clinical/health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

We are seeking a Medical Professional, with significant expertise and experience in global humanitarian and disaster responses, to provide specialist technical guidance and oversight to our humanitarian health programming as a our new Health Advisor.
UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to natural disasters, outbreaks or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. As a key partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT), we work closely with FCDO and the WHO, but we are also growing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.
Following a period of significant growth we are seeking a medical professional to join our team in this pivotal role. Our portfolio of emergency health programmes continues to grow at pace, with current or recent projects in countries including Ukraine, Gaza, Rwanda, Sudan and Lebanon. Projects include outbreak response, trauma and surgical care and health systems strengthening.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in the area of emergency response and disaster medicine, ideally including conflict contexts. You will be able to apply your expertise to supporting strategy development at an HQ level, designing health responses and capacity building programmes as well as contributing to grant proposals. You will be willing and able to deploy overseas with our responses, providing leadership to health teams and liaising closely with Ministries of Health, WHO and other external partners.
