Job Purpose
· To manage the delivery of Young Marketeers in Sheffield in four primary schools
Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Recruit four schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project
· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations
· Schedule, organise and deliver
o One assembly in each school
o Two food growing sessions in each school
o One market trader training session in each school
o Market Day in the city centre in July for four schools
· Maintain accurate records relating to the programme
- Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
- Take photos of workshops and events where possible
- Keep Development Manager fully updated on progress
· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures
- Maintain the ethos of the charity and positively promote our work at all times

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Altrincham Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to work 5 days out of 7 (total of 35 hours per week) on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.
Some but not all key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
- Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
- Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
- Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
- Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
- Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.
- Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.
Idea Candidates Must Haves:
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience of managing people
- Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
- Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
- Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply up to four figures in order to maintain budgets and complete accurately weekly income/banking sheets.
- Ability to handle cash and reconcile accurately.
- Proven experience of meeting targets and KPI's.
- Basic IT skills.

The role:
This person will have responsibility for the management, maintenance and improvement of the 185 acres of sports, nature areas, heritage parkland and gardens for the benefit of the local community and beyond. This will involve extensive horticultural management responsibilities in addition to a broad range of support, logistical and administrative activities. The successful candidate will have extensive Park Management experience in a similar sized public park or community green space. They will have experience of managing service contracts, managing in-house teams, developing volunteer and outreach programs and ideally, of successfully applying for Grant funding in similar spaces and delivering on these agreements. A warm and approachable person, the ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for Park management and involving the public in regular use and patronage of these special green spaces. The Role

Overall Purpose of the Role:
- To effectively manage and provide strategic and operational oversight of the Rainbow Mind counselling service and development of service provision.

We’re looking for an experienced policy professional to join our Policy and Evidence team to lead our impactful health and care policy activity. You’ll lead a high-performing team operating at the heart of a friendly and supportive directorate with an excellent track record of influencing policy change. The Supported Housing Operations Manager (Homelessness) will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of several supported housing schemes designed for individuals experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages. This role is critical in ensuring that the services provided are psychologically and trauma-informed, aligned with the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) principle.
Key responsibilities include:
