For over 80 years RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford Branch have rehabilitated and rehomed thousands of animals in the West Yorkshire area. As an independent charitable organisation, separate from the National RSPCA, we are financially self sufficient and governed by our Board of Trustees. We are about to embark on a 5 year plan to redevelop our Animal Centre facilities and to secure innovative and sustainable commercial growth. As a large RSPCA branch with significant reach, we need to maximise our potential in many areas; our retail shops, fundraising, legacies, and donations as well as growing our supporter and volunteer base. A new CEO role is sought to work closely and openly with a highly engaged board and management team. The appointee has a great opportunity to make a step change to the commercial and reputational trajectory of the Branch as well as bringing all c60 staff and managers on an exciting change and development journey.
They will represent the charity across our region, building strong commercial networks, identifying opportunities for growth, business development and diversification. This will mean building deep relationships with local businesses and representing the branch in the local media as required. Furthermore, the role will be ultimately accountable for the operational running of the Branch, to ensure legal, regulatory and financial compliance through the management team.

Overview: The Lady Garden Foundation is a national charity, founded in 2014, which aims to raise funds and improve awareness of the 5 gynaecological cancers (Ovarian, Cervical, Womb (Uterine), Vulval and Vaginal).
Job Summary: We are looking for an energetic and confident person to drive awareness and education of gynaecological health, especially the five gynaecological cancers in Universities and Schools across the UK. Our Education Development and Outreach Coordinator will be developing our education and awareness strategy for schools and universities, spearheading outreach and ensuring that the impact of each programme on future outcomes is being tracked and measured. We have already built our Freshers Fair campaign up to visiting 20 universities this year, and have started outreach into London based schools.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Leading the outreach and collaboration with various education partners including, Universities, Private and State Schools, Student Unions, Student Societies, Public Education Boards e.g. OFSTED, Government etc.

Building relationships with key individual stakeholders to drive forward the revolution in gynaecological health for young people. These stakeholders could include, Teachers, lecturers, wellbeing staff, leading researchers in behaviour change and education, MPs, students, parents etc.

Responsible for day-to-day internal financial tasks: e.g. looking after our Education Budget, allocating charitable spending for maximum impact

Preparing impact reports and presentations for potential sponsors and partners for the programmes.

What we do
LawWorks is the operating name of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group. We are a charity, and our aim is to enable access to justice through supporting and developing the contribution of legal pro bono.
With support from the Law Society of England and Wales, we encourage, facilitate and celebrate pro bono across the solicitor profession and at law schools in England and Wales.
Who we work with
We work primarily with solicitors (firms and in-house teams), and also with law schools and law students, and other legal and non-legal volunteers and organisations.
LawWorks has around 150 member organisations including some of the largest City firms and international firms with an office in London, national, regional and local firms, in-house teams, law schools and charities.
Who we are
LawWorks is a relatively small organisation with 18 members of staff (5 full-time) and a small team of volunteers and interns. We operate a flexible working policy, with several members of staff working hybrid, or where appropriate, from home.

Our projects
There are a number of key strands to our work to support and facilitate pro bono:

we support a growing network of around 300 local independent pro bono advice clinics across England and Wales. We work with lawyers, advice agencies, charities and others to establish or develop new clinics, and provide ongoing information and support, training and resources, for clinic volunteers and coordinators;

our Not-for-Profits Programme facilitates the provision of free legal advice for smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations, supported by volunteer lawyers from LawWorks’ members;

our Secondary Specialisation Programme supports the development of more ‘in-depth’ pro bono in areas of social welfare law. This currently includes an unpaid wages project and ‘Voices for Families’, with the charity Together for Short Lives, supporting parents and carers of children with life-limiting conditions;

we support collaborative projects including: Pro Bono Connect: a project which facilitates barristers and solicitors working together on pro bono cases; the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance and IP Pro Bono.

we have launched new online tools and digital platforms including a website called ‘Free Legal Answers’ and the Pro Bono Portal UK (with Justice Connect, an Australian access to justice charity).
In addition to encouraging and supporting pro bono delivery, we also work to address barriers to justice and to provide a ‘policy voice’ for pro bono - for example, working to address regulatory and other barriers to pro bono volunteering, and working with our members and others to influence policy on legal aid and other aspects of access to justice.
The role
Our experience in the different regions in England and Wales has shown the valueof having staff based locally to support pro bono initiatives, develop new pro bono opportunities and to increase engagement from the local legal profession.
This role will include helping to develop and support your own set of clinics, building on existing relationships in the Southwest or North of England. You will work with our members and the local advice sector to support the development of new pro bono clinics to meet unmet legal needs. We take an innovative, tailored approach to the support we provide, and you will provide one-to one support for individual clinics, allowing you to identify and address need, providing help with insurance, regulatory queries, finding volunteers and access to online tools.
A small part of the role (1 day per week) will involve working closely with the part-time Engagement & Training Officer (Wales) focusing on expanding stakeholder engagement to increase the number of independent legal advice clinics in Wales and promote pro bono involvement by the legal profession. You will work to identify and engage new stakeholders, develop training sessions and support impact monitoring. This role will also work closely with the Clinic Support and Development Officer (Wales), who acts as the first point of contact for guidance and support for clinics in Wales.
Key priorities for this role will be:

To provide guidance and support to independent pro bono clinics registered with the LawWorks Clinics Network in the Southwest or North of England;

We are looking for a confident networker who is able to identify opportunities andestablish new partnerships. All of LawWorks’ work is delivered through partnerships so it is essential that the candidate is personable, collaborative and an effective communicator.
A background in the legal or advice sector will be an advantage, but not essential - training and support will be provided for someone from another sector who is passionate about pro bono and access to justice and willing to learn. Experience of managing multiple projects and seeing them through to completion will also be an advantage.
The role offers variety, autonomy, the opportunity to help develop new initiatives from idea to launch, and a chance to support local communities and volunteer lawyers.
The position will be predominantly home based, with some travel throughout the Southwest or North of England, and occasional travel to LawWorks’ office in central London.

Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement team delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s vision to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Our audiences include health and social care professionals, members of the public, charities, professional bodies and associations, UK policymakers and campaigning groups.
We are looking for a creative self-starter with a passion for digital marketing and skilled in community management.
You need to be a motivated and enthusiastic marketer who is comfortable working on impactful campaigns which have a wide and diverse reach. You should be confident bringing healthcare-related stories to life through different digital channels. You should also take a hands-on approach to all areas of marketing and understand the nuances, advantages and shortcomings of using different platforms.

Website, SEO & PPC
- Write/produce, build and publish content for the RCUK website, including articles, features, statements and updates, ensuring diversity and inclusion is considered in everything we do.
- Ensure all content, imagery or files uploaded to the website are of an optimal file size and comply with accessibility guidance e.g., alt text, descriptive links.
- Support the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to deliver the SEO priorities for the organisation and increase RCUK’s reach.
- Use insight (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Crazy Egg, surveys etc) to identify content gaps and opportunities for website improvements in line with user requirements.
Campaigns
- Support the communications and engagement team to deliver on key integrated campaigns across the year.
- Support on the delivery of marketing and communications strategies for core RCUK products: including generating sales for commercial products such as e-Lifesaver and paid events such as conferences through digital marketing and direct communications.
- Support the Media and Campaigns team with asset creation and amplify media opportunities via our digital channels

The Network Services Manager builds and maintains network-facing central services that are effective and dynamic, evolving in line with members’ requirements. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.

ABOUT THE ROLE
To achieve the above, the post holder will:
- Support, build and manage relationships with over 100 civil society partner organisations.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the network, including the network's communications and databases.
- Coordinate the sharing of learning materials, working with teachers and youth workers to organise, map and curate content that supports democratic and election education.
- Oversee the Democracy Classroom website / platform.
- Train and support teachers and youth workers to deliver democratic education materials.
- Oversee our #ElectionCountdown programme during UK local, devolved and national elections and the associated comms campaigns.
- Line manage the Democracy Classroom programme coordinator and manage relationships with freelance teachers, youth workers and designers.
- Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required.
The job is a fixed term 12-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with possible extension depending on the electoral calendar.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.
