The role of the Company Secretary involves the following key components, supported by all Trustees, staff, active volunteers and wider RUSS team:

• Overseeing the roles and activities of Board members and volunteers to ensure that RUSS is keeping in line with its responsibilities as a charitable trust
• Organising the agenda and papers for each board meeting and ensuring that those providing reports and updates do so on time
• Attending finance and audit committee meetings to ensure that financial processes including yearly audits are running on time
• Intervening when RUSS activities are not taking place in line with the RUSS Rules & Principles and making recommendations to the Board regarding how to resolve such issues
• Organising the Annual General Meeting, alongside other Trustees
• Submitting the accounts to the Financial Conduct Authority
• Organising Board away days and training, alongside other Trustees and the Chair
• Overseeing Human Resources, alongside our interim Managing Director, Trustees and the Chair
• Line management of bookkeeper and other part-time admin roles Liaising with our lenders regarding our long-term loan
• Leading the process of applying for Registered Provider of Social Housing status: research and scoping, setting up and engaging with a working group and appointing consultants, to work towards making an application in 2025.
• Liaising with our estate management company (CDS) to ensure that service charge and hot water accounts are supplied promptly and accurately

Project Manager International Nature

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate to join a leading Nature programme in this newly created team, supporting emerging international work.

This is a hybrid working role with potential travel opportunities!

The Role

As a key member of the Institute’s growing nature team, you will be working specifically international nature markets. You will be working on a funded project of work, to support COP15 signatories to understand and implement models and markets that unlock private sector capital into nature restoration and conservation and help them meet their Target 19 commitments. This role will be part of a three-person team within the broader nature team.

You will gain exposure to a range of stakeholders including policy makers, project developers and the private sector across multiple countries. Your responsibilities will include organising stakeholder convening, undertaking research and analysis, developing content, and managing sub-projects autonomously.

Collaboration with industry, government, civil society and academia internationally is a key element of this role and we are looking for team members who will thrive in a dynamic environment where creative thinking, communication and time management skills are essential.

About You

This is an exciting role for someone who has already gained relevant experience within the international development and/or environmental or sustainable finance sectors, looking to continue a career in the emerging area of nature-based investing and natural capital.

The Institute’s nature team is in growth mode and as such this role would suit a versatile project manager who is focused on timely delivery. You are expected to have some stakeholder management skills and strong research and writing skills.

You will be expected to grow your project management and stakeholder management skills and be confident in taking initiatives to manage relationships with potential and existing partners. Ability to co-ordinate multiple projects will be important, and you must be comfortable working in a flexible way. You will grow your expertise in selected areas regarding the content and structure of nature-based revenue models. You will manage one junior role with possibly short-term consultants to oversee from time to time.

We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.

The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.

The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

Purpose of the job 

The Head of Policy & Public Affairs is responsible for leading UK Youth’s influencing work with Westminster, devolved administrations, and local government. They will lead our advocacy for ambitious and actionable policies that will help unlock youth work for all young people. They will ensure that our policy recommendations are informed by the strongest available evidence, meaningful youth involvement, and the expertise of youth workers. Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.

• Oversight of volunteers using the office space on a day to day basis. Including allocating volunteer tasks and explaining and supporting with these as required.

What will your typical day involve? 

You will develop and implement a marketing strategy aimed at reaching diverse audiences, including those in need of care, professionals, and donors. Managing social media across platforms, maintaining branding consistency, and liaising with external consultants will be key tasks. You will also maintain our website, design promotional materials, optimise SEO, and assist with photography and event materials, ensuring GDPR compliance. Promptly handling telephone and email enquiries is another essential responsibility. 

Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll work with various departments, external partners, and suppliers to foster positive relationships in line with our values. Some evening and weekend work may be required to support events. 

Who are we looking for? 

We seek someone with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, committed to making a difference. A good understanding of Jewish culture is essential, as are strong literacy and numeracy skills to produce written materials and statistical information. A Graduate Level qualification in Marketing/Media is essential.

Proven experience in marketing and communications, along with knowledge of office administrative procedures and excellent IT skills, is required. You should also have expertise in designing and managing marketing campaigns, with proficiency in Canva, InDesign, and Photoshop.
