What is a Nutley Edge Activity Break?

Nutley Edge Activity Breaks are Outward’s supported holidays for adults with learning disabilities and autism. They are five days and four nights long and take place at our beautiful holiday site near Uckfield in East Sussex. Every break is themed and guests take part in a range of activities such as archery, art, music, yoga, and day trips to local towns, cities, and historical sites. Our breaks give guests the opportunity to get away for a holiday, meet new people, and explore the best of East Sussex.

What is the role of the Manager? 

As manager, with the support of the deputy(s), you will organise varied and fun breaks for our guests. This includes carrying out assessments for new guests, supporting the team to deliver respite care, coaching the staff team, and embedding high standards in the service. We run 20 breaks a year and wish to grow this number, around about 10 of which are led by the Activity Team Manager on site in East Sussex. During activity breaks food and your own room is provided and an additional sleep in payment for each night supporting a break is paid.  

We are a London based charity and welcome applicants for this role on the understanding they are able to support at least 10 breaks throughout a year (providing day and overnight support for 5 days/ 4 nights at a time in East Sussex), are able to travel to our North East London offices to attend meetings and training sessions, and travel to assessments and marketing events as required. 

In the role, you will: 

• Manage all aspects of the activity breaks

• Engage, enable, and empower people to achieve their goals and ambitions

What qualities and experience should the ideal candidate have?

We are looking for somebody who has:

• Experience managing the support provided for people with a learning disability, autism, and complex needs (including behaviours of distress)

• Excellent communication skills and IT skills

• Experience of staff management and the ability to lead by example to develop a strong team

• Creativity and flexibility, with experience of dealing with the unexpected

• Experience carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans

• A commitment to providing high quality and personalised active support 

• A commitment to upholding the rights of people we support to be involved at all levels of decision making. 

• A passion for engaging, enabling, and empowering people with autism or a learning disability to lead the lives they want

• Knowledge of managing a budget

• A driving licence and willingness to drive a minibus is desirable

Kentown Support is a new charity, here to ensure that every child with a life-limiting condition and their family across the UK has access to a model of integrated community children’s palliative care. We will:

The Head of Finance will primarily have responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities. You will have direct responsibility for the finance function.

Responsibilities

Day to day financial management of the organisation, including:

· Ensuring the delivery of monthly management accounts

· Building and maintaining the systems for setting and managing annual financial organisational plans, budgets and quarterly forecasts

· Proactively manage the income and expenditure of the charity advising the management team on income shortfalls and overspends on expenditure relating to unrestricted and restricted funding

· Oversee and manage the charity’s finance operations including expenses, invoicing, payments and cash management

· Developing greater financial literacy across the organisation by building and maintaining accessible and clear systems and processes, and providing advice to budget holders

· Reporting to the Eikon Leadership and Management Teams, Audit and Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees

Leadership Across The Charity

· Contribute to Eikon’s overall vision and strategy through membership of the Senior Leadership Team

· Contribute to monitoring the performance of the charity against its key objectives and to any corrective action that is needed

· Working with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Trustee, develop and implement the financial strategies that enable the successful delivery of the organisational vision and strategy

Maintain effective internal accounts and leading on statutory reporting and annual audit, including:

· Ensuring financial procedures and delegated authorities are fit for purpose, adhered to and up to date

· Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory guidance for financial and tax reporting

· Ensure compliance of all statutory requirements and accounting in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) and the Companies Act

· Lead on the preparation of the Annual Statutory Financial Statements, liaise with auditors and ensure accounts are filed on time with the Charity Commission and Companies House

Summary

• Support the SIAM in the planning and delivery of the NCIs' annual risk-based IA Plan, including assisting with the Annual Audit Needs Analysis and producing the Audit Universe.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of all individual IA assignments, from the initial planning stage through to the completion of the final report. Ensure all findings are effectively communicated with management as part of the IA delivery process.

• The post-holder will be expected to come into the primary office location in Church House, Westminster, one day per week.
• You will need to have a relevant professional Internal Audit or Accounting qualification i.e. IIA, CIA, ACA, ACCA, etc.
• You will need significant experience in the delivery of technically complex risk based internal audit assurance and advisory reviews across a variety of processes.

• A salary of £60,000 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

The Senior Organic Social Media Manager will play a leading role in UNICEF UK’s Organic Social team. The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.

Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

About the role

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in two of our schools in Hackney and Highbury currently delivering our Gateway programme and moving to our new Accelerate programme next school year.

The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised.

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner.

• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across both programmes.

• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful Key Stage 5 and university applications.

• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided).

• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programmes.

• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress.

• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

• Develop content e.g. writing all comms plans, messaging, newsletter copy (for partners to use), press releases, social media, copy for flyers, posters, case studies.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of our communications: analysing trends, outcomes, using evidence to inform service development.
• Prepare budgets and plan and manage the allocation of resource to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of communications activity. 
• Oversee digital planning and content production, with a strategic oversight of the website and social media channels as well as new digital products.
• Oversee the charity’s social media channels, increasing engagement with relevant audiences and creating content.
• Oversee, write and edit content for the Charity’s website, working with staff, volunteers and contractors as necessary to improve content and user experience.

Base of Work

Hybrid, typically minimum 1 day per week at Community Impact Bucks Office near Aylesbury with the rest working from home. The Kenelm Youth Trust is seeking a Retreat Centre Director to head up both the Alton Castle and Soli residential centres based in Alton, Staffordshire. You will be required to live on site in order to fulfil role requirements.

The Retreat Centre Director will have overall responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of the residential programmes, day retreats, outreach work and school missions and will work collaboratively with the senior leadership of the Kenelm Youth Trust.

We are seeking an experienced youth work manager to shape and develop the programmes across the site. The role carries considerable responsibility for the community life and working with schools and groups to design tailor made retreats and programmes.

- Experience of working with and managing volunteers
- Strong planning and operational service delivery skills
- An understanding of the needs of different communities, including people with protected characteristics

- Experience in supportive environments, particularly within healthcare settings, including palliative and bereavement care

The successful candidate will support the delivery and coordination of the volunteer services including the management and supervision of volunteers, receiving referrals and matching volunteers with terminally ill people and/or their carers. Volunteer services could include our Companion Service; bereavement support; Advance Care Planning and supporting care homes, people with dementia and vulnerable groups.
The role will also be responsible for developing strong partnership networks with the community, community groups and organisations in the area in order to develop better end of life care for all.

This is a vital role as we seek to deepen and expand connections with the College’s alumni community. The Alumni Engagement Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of an alumni and supporter engagement strategy which aims to build relationships with alumni and donors to lead to greater involvement with the College through the giving of funds, time and expertise. The Alumni Engagement Manager also plays a vital role in ensuring donors to the College have a strong sense and knowledge of the positive impact of their generosity, so that their philanthropic giving to Worcester is a meaningful, enjoyable and positive experience.
