The Nystagmus Network is seeking a Development Coordinator to help build on our core services and develop new ones to meet the growing and changing needs of the nystagmus community and to support income generation to ensure those services can continue to be funded. You will need to be passionate about what we do, have the drive and enthusiasm to succeed and also be sensitive to the need to involve volunteers and stakeholders in service development and delivery.
You will plan to reach out to ever wider groups of potential beneficiaries and supporters through your communications, networking and business development skills, in collaboration with the Executive Information and Development Manager and Trustees and take the initiative on approaches to new partners. The events team is responsible for delivering a large portion of the free events that take place across The Fund; including online events, roundtables, workshops, receptions and dinners. The events team ensures that there is a co-ordinated and uniform approach to delivering virtual or in-person events, and that each is delivered to the same high standard.
This role will give you an exciting opportunity to work in our busy events team within a well-respected health think-tank and charity. You will work with colleagues on planning and delivering a mixture of pay-to-attend conferences (virtual and in-person), roundtable discussions, dinners, and free online events. You will also manage the content design and delivery of our joint-badged events with our Corporate Partners and Supporters.
You will lead on several events in the schedule; ensuring they run smoothly, keep to strict budgets, are delivered to a very high standard, meet the expectations of colleagues and delegates, and enhance our reputation and public profile. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our portfolio of in-person, virtual and hybrid events.
To join us, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent) and experience in planning and delivering virtual and in person conferences and other smaller events. With this background, you’ll know how to research and develop event content to create engaging programmes and attract wide audiences. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead effective logistics arrangements in preparation for and on the day of events. We’ll expect you to work hard to support the team and you will be given responsibility for your own areas of work. You’ll also need to be flexible, diligent, and comfortable being the main point of contact for many people from sponsors to speakers.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
Strategy and planning
· Own and deliver a plan to ensure our email campaigns increase engagement, income and email penetration rates
· Develop automated email journeys, working with Fundraising teams to improve the wider supporter journey as well as seeing how events like birthdays and donation anniversaries can increase engagement and loyalty
· Focus on innovation with a willingness experiment and test new trends to increase audience reach and engagement
· Update and plan the email calendar
Delivering and improving campaigns and projects
· Oversee the implementation of a new email programme, providing advice to the Fundraising teams on best practice and how to get best results
· Collaborate with our Fundraising teams to produce email nurturing campaigns for each of our segments and create tactical emails to move supporters up the engagement ladder
· Assist with segmentation and maintaining the health of our database. As we work towards automating our processes, this may include manual handling of data from time to time.
· Drive lead generation to develop an ‘engagement-first’ audience and build a prospect pool for fundraising activity. This includes coming up with creative ideas for lead generation activities, planning and executing campaigns, and optimising points of conversion for email signs ups.
· Play an active role in our move to a new email marketing platform and CRM
· Develop a loyalty programme with exclusive content for highly engaged email subscribers
· Ensure email marketing aligns with other marketing channels and campaigns support the Digital team with compelling digital content for the website, social media and paid advertising channels as needed.
Analysis and reporting
· Build an email testing plan and share learnings with the Digital team, wider department and with International teams
· Analyse the effectiveness of our emails using inbuilt analytics, CRM reporting and tools like Google Analytics
· Share insights, findings and best practice across the department and with International teams to ensure people understand what is working well and how this can improve their areas of work
Training and supporting others
Provide training for fundraising colleagues, helping to develop their digital marketing skills, with a focus on email marketing. As a Project Worker at The Genesis Day Centre, Poole, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals who are homeless and vulnerably housed.
You will contribute to the daily serving of food as well as the successful implementation of support groups and programmes. Working within a small team of staff and volunteers you will help address the immediate needs of homeless individuals, whilst promoting long-term solutions and empowerment. A faith based charity, the organisation seeks to provide the daily essentials in addition to ongoing support and signposting.
Main Duties
- Offer emotional support, guidance, and advocacy to help meet the immediate needs of individuals presenting at The Genesis Centre as well as navigating them through their homelessness journey.

As a Care Navigator, you will provide support to people whose diabetes is not well managed or who are not engaging with health professionals, in particular, deprived and vulnerable groups within this cohort. We have a vacancy for a Mental Health Support Administrator to join our team.
Hertfordshire Mind Network is the largest charitable provider of mental health services in Hertfordshire, in terms of the number of people supported and range of services offered. We have a presence in all of the county's 10 districts, with established Wellbeing Centres across the county. Our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18, and we offer dedicated services and outreach for 5-18 year olds. We provide services and support to approximately 10,000 people experiencing mental ill health each year.
Purpose of Post
As a Mental Health Support Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth process for people contacting Hertfordshire Mind (HMN) from initial contact to service provision and provide advice, information and emotional support to service users.
Key responsibilities
- To be the first point of contact and provide advice and information to HMN callers via telephone, email and in person
- To provide emotional support to people contacting HMN by telephone or in person who are experiencing emotional distress and to ensure smooth referrals into the Daylight service for clients who are in crisis and require short-term crisis resolution
- To complete and process referral forms, liaising with Service Users and colleagues
- To accurately record client information onto the database.
- To support the smooth running of the Wellbeing Centres
- To undertake admin duties for the Wellbeing Centre, including the distribution of mail, maintaining office supplies, and responding to internal/external e-mails
- To ensure the reception area is tidy and leaflet displays are replenished to include up to date information
- To maintain the notice boards with relevant and up to date information
- To work in line with standardised administrative systems across HMN, to maintain the general running and efficiency of the office and consistency with the other HMN offices
- To undertake training as required and to maintain policies and procedures
- To undertake other duties as may be reasonably determined by the Head of Services or CEO.

The role
- To provide administrative support to the CEO and Office Manager in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions, to ensure income and outgoings are timely and accurately recorded.
Main responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of Invoices on Xero
- Obtaining authorisation of the budget holder for the expenditure
- Preparing Income batches on Access CRM
- Creating new records on Access CRM
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Processing credit card income
- Processing credit card expenditure
- Issue invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold
- Review and process employee expenses
- Making bank deposits and keep up records
- Tracking expenses as they relate to specific projects
- Validating invoices against items or services received
- Checking all financial transactions for accuracy
- Answering calls
- Provide additional support as required
- Helping with Annual Audit
- Fielding all finance enquiries both internal and external
- Creating DD instructions
- Reconciling account software with the bank account.
Requirements:
- To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have at least some previous experience in a similar role.
- You’ll have an analytical and methodical approach, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy - attention to detail is crucial
- You’ll also have good working knowledge of Office 365, Excel, Xero and Access CRM, or a similar database system.
General:
- Be an effective member of the team, recognising, respecting and promoting the different roles and diversity of the individuals in the team and presenting a positive impression of the team and the organisation.
- Undertake any other tasks that may be requested.
- Be prepared to travel throughout the UK and to work varying hours including evenings and weekends as required. This post is subject to advanced DBS clearance and appropriate references.

This role sits within the Community Education and Training team, working to support our learners to access, complete and progress through our wide range of adult learning provision. The main focus will be on providing additional support for learners who need wrap-around support relating to a range of additional personal and educational needs. This could include welfare, personal and family support and wider mental health and wellbeing support or additional learning needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, literacy support and other needs.
You will work with the team to implement strategies and support plans for individuals to aid learning and enhance educational experience. You will support the team’s administrator to monitor learner’s attendance, contacting them via phone, email or arranging a meeting in person where pastoral support is needed.
You will work with our Adult Safeguarding Lead to support safeguarding cases across our departments, including keeping safeguarding records, making referrals and building a database of local support services available to learners and other service users.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting learners to ensure they have the best opportunity to thrive on their learning journey.
You will also support wider functions in the team such as contributing to the organisation of our termly learners’ forum to celebrate achievement and attending events in the community to publicise our work.
The successful applicant will have experience of working with vulnerable individuals or groups, be committed to safeguarding, have excellent administration skills, be flexible and excited about being at the heart of a busy team and committed to providing an excellent service to High Trees’ users.
