Job Purpose
The Operations Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing ELBA's operational functions to maximise community impact and strengthen corporate partnerships. This role is pivotal in ensuring that programme teams are empowered, supported, and held accountable for achieving their objectives. The Operations Director will work closely with the CEO and Partnership Directors to sustain ELBA’s position as a leader in Employee Supported Volunteering (ESV), social mobility, and place-based initiatives.

Headway East London is a charity supporting people living with brain injury. Working across 13 London boroughs we offer specialist support and services for survivors and their families. We offer therapies, advocacy, family support and community support work alongside our day service: a community venue where people can make the most of their abilities and interests.
About the role
Working closely with the Therapy Manager, Clinical Lead and Director of Services, you will deliver the marketing of a programme of member-led training for external organisations and other services at Headway East London. Working directly with our members, you will deliver projects of a high standard which are co-produced and reflect the diversity of our community. You will take a lead on developing and delivering the marketing material. You will collaborate with our members, staff and partners to advance our aims to educate professionals in the public sector, whilst exploring ways to generate income for the organisation through this source.
Principle duties and responsibilities
1. Identify opportunities to engage external stakeholders with the member-led training project of delivering external training to professionals within the public sector.
2. Work directly with Headway members to develop and deliver this project, embedding this work within the organisation’s co-production strategy.
3. Support members to participate in these events in collaboration with other teams, by providing direct practical assistance to members.
4. Identify and seek out new external opportunities which support the development of our therapy service, ensuring that opportunities are quickly acted on.
5. Explore potential income generation for Headway East London.
6. Lead on the design work associated with some of this work (e.g., mock-ups, early design concepts, marketing collateral) and present this externally and through social media channels.
7. Assist with fundraising activity related to the ongoing reporting and development of this project.
8. Lead on the marketing and promotion of this project alongside other services.
9. Maintain accurate records and filing systems and ensure effective documentation of project deliverables.
10. Work in close collaboration with Headway East London teams to stay informed of new members, interests and needs.

The purpose of your role
We’re looking for a Recruitment Operations Officer to join our award-winning team to support the operational delivery of the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes for all Police Now programmes, to enable us to achieve our ambitious mission.
You will have oversight of the Recruitment & Marketing department’s governance structures which underpin all our day-to-day delivery; from policies and processes, to reporting infrastructure, planning, implementation and evaluation cycles, and quality assurance and compliance. This dynamic and varied role will include internal cross-team and external stakeholder collaboration, bringing structure to ambiguity, and opportunities for consistency across the organisation.
You will be a system expert, owning our candidate communications platform and supporting the continued development and best practice use of our applicant tracking system. You will manage several projects, often acting as a first escalation point for issues, troubleshooting and problem-solving queries that arise.
This is a critical role within our team and there is true scope to innovate and optimise within your areas of responsibility, with support and guidance from our Recruitment Delivery Manager, giving you the opportunity to bring your creativity alongside knowledge and experience to the team.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within our Recruitment Delivery sub-team of eight, contributing to a high-performance culture and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
- Take a hands-on role developing and maintaining the Recruitment & Marketing department governance structures, including taking the lead in updating policies and processes each year, as well as ownership for specific frameworks such as quality assurance and candidate experience surveys.
- Lead the continued evolution of our reporting structures, designing sophisticated dashboards and tools and regularly reporting to senior stakeholders on progress to targets, SLA compliance and operating performance. Conduct thorough evaluations at the end of each campaign to make recommendations for future improvements to our operations and delivery.
- Ensure the successful ongoing delivery of our cohort implementation and candidate journey, by maintaining and evolving our candidate communications platforms including multiple inboxes and live chat; supporting the continued development and best practice use of our applicant tracking systems; and managing stakeholder and team communication and training related to relevant systems and platforms.
- Oversee and deliver key compliance-based projects throughout the recruitment yearly cycle on time and to a high standard, including leading our post-offer pre-employment checks such as degree certificate verification and referencing, the distribution of final offer letters, and managing cross department data handovers.
- Support with organisational data requests and work with stakeholders across different teams as a directorate Salesforce Champion. Monitor compliance and best practice to ensure we adhere to applicable requirements under GDPR.
- Ad hoc duties to support our busy team including facilitating and/or managing assessment centres and attending events.
Key Requirements
- Motivation and passion for the Police Now mission, values, and working within the policing sector.

Job purpose
The National New Business team are on an exciting trajectory, having recently just reshaped our team to align with the NSPCC’s strategy. We now have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a New Partnerships Manager who will specialise in acquiring Charity of the Year partnerships up to the value of £400k, while also supporting on acquisition of a larger pipeline of high profile, high value 6 - 7 figure partnerships.
You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and securing new national corporate partnerships that make sense and deliver impact. Your primary focus will be working with the Senior Partnerships Manager to secure CotY partnerships, but you’ll also have the opportunity to work across the National team on all types of commercial, strategic and engagement partnerships. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Hospital IDVA (HIDVA) will be part of our dynamic, responsive and highly regarded HIDVA team, providing excellent trauma informed support, crisis intervention, advocacy and advice to survivors in hospitals and health settings, both patients and staff Impacted by domestic abuse.
The HIDVA will also provide advice and training to hospital staff and ensure robust referral pathways are established within the different departments.
We offer an out of hours phone service (Friday evenings and weekend days) together with on-site cover within the hospitals during important events where domestic abuse has been shown to increase, such as Christmas, Bank Holidays, Valentine’s Day and Football Tournaments. The post holder will be expected to participate in the out of hours rota, TOIL and flexible working to recompense for this, as well as overtime for bank holidays/ special events if required on site.
The HIDVA will be based in the Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, and will be expected to visit other hospitals across the trust from time to time to attend meetings, deliver training and cover other team members. There is also flexibility to work from the Rising Sun main office in Canterbury to attend team meetings, supervision and training.
We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, who is experienced in supporting survivors with varying needs such as, drugs/alcohol, mental health, homelessness and patients with no recourse to public funds. Experience with Elderly People, Dementia Sufferers and their Carers or knowledge of midwifery would be desirable, although not essential.
You will report to the HIDVA Manager and receive training and an induction into both the hospital work and Rising Sun’s wider services. If unqualified, we will support you to complete a formal domestic abuse qualification.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support to Survivors
- Be present in the hospitals daily to respond to referrals or requests for domestic abuse advice and to meet with survivors.
- Ensure that survivors are aware of their rights and options and explain the effectiveness of criminal and civil sanctions available to them.
- Produce safety plans with the client, enabling them to assess and manage their own safety.
- Carry out needs assessments, including DASH (Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Honour Based Violence) risk assessment, to effectively deliver holistic, survivor centred support.
- Work in partnership with hospital staff, safeguarding departments and other services e.g. the police, housing, social services, mental health (amongst others) to advocate for survivors and complete referrals to ongoing support services where appropriate.
- Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) meetings and refer service users to MARAC when appropriate.
- Assist clients in gaining access to solicitors, benefits agencies, housing departments, education, medical treatment, counselling, support networks, community groups, employment support etc.
- Recognise, respect and address the needs of survivors who face particular barriers when seeking access to services, including those from minority groups or with protected characteristics
- Safeguard the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk; working within safeguarding policies, Child Protection Procedures and local procedures for safeguarding adults at risk.
- Maintain accurate client records, outcome and monitoring data. Prepare information or reports for the monitoring and evaluation of the service.
- Complete daily ward rounds to raise awareness and identify any potential DA support needs for staff or patients.
- Participate in an out of hours rota, providing an on-call phone support service to hospital staff on Friday evenings and weekend days as timetabled.
Partnership Working and Training
- Promote the HIDVA service in the hospitals and build positive relationships with hospital staff, in particular safeguarding teams and clinicians.
- Attend safeguarding, mental health and frequent attenders meetings to screen patients for potential domestic abuse and provide advice to staff. Together with any other helpful meetings that may arise.
- Deliver training to staff in various health settings across Kent to raise awareness of domestic abuse, safe enquiry and appropriate responding.
General
- Maintain commitment to and work in line with the Rising Sun Framework.
- Uphold the rights of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse, and proactively assess the gender specific, trauma informed needs and the safety of children and women to ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed, having full regard to Rising Sun Safeguarding Children policy and Safeguarding Adults policy

- At least 2 years’ experience of working with survivors of domestic abuse, including high risk clients, assessing risks and needs and ability to use professional judgment and make decisions

- Experience working with the police, social services and MARAC
- Experience of working in a hospital / health setting (desirable)
- Experience working with people with mental health needs, substance misuse, other complex needs (desirable)

I am currently recruiting an experiences Recruitment and People & Culture Operations Manager for a renowned business-focused membership organisation, on an initial 6-month fixed term salaried contract (although there is a possibility that this may be extended further down the line or possibly become a permanent position).
