The Legal Adviser will support the Head of Legal and work across a broad range of matters. You will assist UNICEF UK in negotiating and managing contracts, ensuring the organisation adheres to legal terms required by UNICEF, Charity Law and our articles of association. The Legal Adviser is responsible for providing UNICEF UK with accurate, relevant, and timely advice and support.

Reporting to the Public Engagement Manager, the Public Engagement Officer will work as part of a team to deliver our mission of meaningfully involving patients and the public across Academy activities and in the way we work.
You will collaborate with colleagues across the Academy, our Fellows and our grant awardees to help deliver projects that ensure the Academy connects with patients, carers and members of the public in new and accessible ways. You will organise and evaluate programmes that feed public views into our policy advice and grants and careers programmes. Our current priorities include supporting more diverse communities to take part in conversations about health and research and developing new workstreams on health inequalities and climate change.
You will do this all by building strong relationships with public and patient groups and connecting with individuals to understand and provide the support they need to be involved in our work.
What you will be doing:
- Support the delivery of events, workshops and training to feed public, patient and carer views into our policy, career development and grants programmes.
- Research and scope topics, formats, speakers, audiences and participants for public engagement and involvement activities.
- Assist with data collection, analysis and reporting for programme and event evaluations.
- Develop resources and deliver processes that support participants in Academy engagement and involvement activities - particularly administration for patient payments and arranging individual access and support packages.
- Make connections with people, organisations and communities to broaden participation in Academy public engagement and involvement activities.
- Connect with colleagues across the organisation to encourage and support their participation in engagement and involvement activities and knowledge of best practice.
- Identify and connect with non-traditional or underserved audiences for engagement projects and ensure public engagement activities promote diversity and inclusivity.
You are:

The Role

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

As Content Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and iterating the content framework. The framework describes the what, why, and how of producing high-quality, effective content at Battersea:
- What: Defining content pillars and content types that the content team works on.
- Why: Ensuring that all content the team produces supports Battersea’s overall marketing strategy and organisational strategy.
- How: Upholding an efficient process for content production and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Collaboration is essential within this role. You’ll need to work closely with senior stakeholders and channel owners across the Brand team, Digital team, Communications, Insight and Impact and the wider organisation.
Strong communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the proven ability to build relationships are vital to aid the smooth delivery of strategic projects and to drive to do things more effectively and efficiently through buy-in.
You’ll be adept at using data to inform content strategy and content approach exploring the ‘why’ across user needs. This includes leveraging insights, conducting content evaluations, and performing your own desktop research to bring our work to life, as we continue to develop our audience building and evaluation frameworks.
You’ll be supporting a dynamic Content team, giving guidance, coaching and fostering a culture of creativity and strategic direction, so they can deliver the right content, to the right audience at the right time which inspires connection to our cause and engagement with our brand.

We are looking for someone with organisational change experience who can help us design and deliver effective culture change programmes that support our strategic objectives and adopt new ways of working. You will work with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs, challenges and aspirations.
You’ll have responsibility for the end-to-end change life cycle with a focus on the people side of change – delivering cultural and behavioural change, organisational design and development projects.
You will apply your knowledge and experience of change models and organisational design principles to develop and implement tailored solutions to address resistance and enable sustainable change. You will also use your project management skills to plan, monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the change initiatives.
Working with internal stakeholders, you’ll deliver change management, organisation design and governance, cultural change and solutions that enable them to achieve their goals and better deliver their strategic objectives.
Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for overseeing the Foundation’s finances, the Finance Manager will be a key role in providing support and analysis to help decision- making for the Trustees and Foundation Manager. We have spent the last two year moving towards becoming a service delivery organisation and an employer in our own right and as we look towards growing the Foundation we are looking for someone who can help us to identify, develop and implement various processes and systems that don’t currently exist from a Finance perspective.
