Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) is seeking an experienced and insightful Senior Policy Adviser to lead the development of our policy work and help drive meaningful change for people affected by prostate cancer.
Reporting to the Head of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs, you will be responsible for shaping evidence-based policy positions, producing high-impact consultation responses, and identifying strategic opportunities to influence health and research policy. This is an exciting opportunity for a policy professional with strong analytical and writing skills, a solid understanding of the health policy landscape, and a desire to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:

Policy Leadership: Lead the development of PCR’s policy positions across a range of health and research issues through in-depth research, evidence analysis and horizon scanning, identifying key issues affecting prostate cancer patients and developing robust solutions for systemic change.

Consultation and Inquiry Responses: Draft high-quality, persuasive responses to government consultations, select committee inquiries, and regulatory reviews, ensuring PCR’s positions are well-evidenced, compelling and grounded in insight from those with lived experience.

Health Technology Appraisals: Lead or contribute to PCR’s submissions to NICE and SMC technology appraisals, ensuring that our input is evidence-based, reflects the lived experience of patients, and aligns with our policy positions.

Stakeholder Insight and Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, healthcare professionals, government bodies, think tanks, sector bodies such as the AMRC, and other key stakeholders to inform PCR’s positions and stay at the front of policy thinking.

Political and Policy Monitoring: Track key policy developments and legislative changes relevant to prostate cancer, assessing their implications and identifying opportunities for PCR to engage.

Internal Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across PCR, including research, communications, patient engagement and fundraising teams, to ensure a unified approach across policy and organisational priorities.

Briefings and Written Outputs: Deliver succinct, compelling, and well-evidenced policy briefings on key issues to a range of stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and partners.

Public Representation: Represent PCR at external meetings, external policy networks, working groups, events, and conferences, ensuring our position is effectively communicated and influencing policy discussions in line with our strategic objectives.

Support for Public Affairs and Campaigns: Provide policy advice and support the development of policy-facing materials to support the delivery of public affairs and campaign activity led by the wider Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs team.

Education and Experience:

Significant experience (typically 3–5 years) in a policy role, ideally within the health, research, or voluntary sector.

Bachelor’s degree in public policy, health sciences, social sciences, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

About this job
The Office Administrator role is to provide a high level of customer service and support to our service users, supporters, volunteers, groups, members of the public and internal customers. Contributing to overall implementation of the Services and Support and Northern Ireland directorates’ objectives. This will be achieved by ensuring the best possible service user experience for our MS community and by proactively improving processes and ways of working.
Please note this is a part-time job working Monday to Friday from 10am to 3:30pm.

Job Description
To be part of the youth work team at Redthread, with a primary focus on the Youth Violence Intervention Programme.
What does a Youth Intervention Practitioner do? Youth Intervention Practitioners use the principles and power of youth work in the setting of a busy emergency department. We meet young people who have experienced injury or trauma while they are in the hospital, and work alongside our clinical colleagues to offer them support at a time when they are feeling very vulnerable. Our first contact with the young person may be to offer them a drink, or to ring their parent, or to check they understand what’s happening to them. When their immediate medical needs have been met, we will talk to them some more and explain how we can support them.
We will do a safety plan with them before they leave the hospital. If a young person chooses to engage with us, we will then work with them for eight to twelve weeks on a plan of action that’s tailored to their needs. We work closely with the hospital safeguarding team every day and frequently have to escalate concerns. We contact any other agencies who know the young person so we’re not duplicating their work, and often arrange to meet them with the young person. We regularly have to strongly advocate for young people, for example with housing agencies.
We look for organisations who can work with them towards their longer-term goals and we do relational referrals, transferring the trust that young people have built with us. Youth Intervention Practitioners hold a caseload of young people, supported by their team leader, and need to be good at recording their work, and discussing and reflecting on their practice. We provide an intensive induction at the start of the role, ongoing training and CPD throughout your time at Redthread and fortnightly clinical supervision.
Our Youth Intervention Practitioners have to be courageous and tenacious, and because ours is a short intervention, we don’t always see first-hand the impact of our work. But we know from talking to the young people we work with that we make a huge difference. Our Youth Intervention Practitioners are resilient, able to work calmly in a challenging environment with young people experiencing trauma, injury or exploitation. They have a good level of self awareness, the ability to reflect on how the work is impacting them, and a willingness to engage in regular clinical supervision that helps them develop their practice and emotional literacy.
Qualifications
Desirable (but not essential): A degree-level qualification in social work, youth work, a social science, education or another relevant field.

Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital Birmingham and Birmingham Children's Hospital. With regular travel to other Redthread sites and offices when required.

About the role:
The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. We are a friendly, creative, and supportive team, responsible for raising awareness and growing the brand of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as well as our website, email, social, direct mail, paid advertising and more. This is a particularly exciting time to join our growing team as we shape and improve the charity’s digital approach and prepare to launch a new large-scale capital fundraising appeal.
As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. You will be a key player in maintaining and improving the charity’s digital presence, focussing on website management and web content, keeping our supporters and audiences at the heart of everything you do.
It is also an exciting time to join our digital team, as this role will begin part way through a redevelopment of our website. The Digital Officer will play a vital part in supporting the wider digital team to QA and deploy the new site, and support the Digital teams efforts to embed new ways of working and processes for the new site and ongoing roadmap.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support day-to-day management and improvement of the website. Includes content updates to ensure information is correct and up-to-date, and editing pages as needed across the site, following digital best practice.
- Support with the blog content calendar and blog content creation. Writing, building, publishing and optimising digital content, then measuring performance using tools like GA4 and Hotjar.
- Embedding and promoting digital best practice. Ensuring new content developed follows digital, SEO and UX best practices and supporting colleagues within the charity to understand and deliver the best digital experience across key campaigns by providing advice, recommendations and feedback.
- Supporting the wider Digital Team in delivering a training programme across the organisation, which will embed our new content creation process and build digital skills across the organisation.
To be successful in your application you'll need:
- Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
- Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.
- Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
- Experience in writing for the web or digital channels and creating content tailored to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to communicate, work collaboratively and build good working relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work proactively and manage multiple projects concurrently.
The following are beneficial to your application but not essential:
- Experience of digital collaboration and project management tools like Trello, MS teams or JIRA.
- Experience in a similar role within a complex organisation, charity or health/science organisation.

Job overview
The Digital and Content Manager is responsible for the development and execution of BeyondAutism’s digital strategy, ensuring all online content and campaigns support the organisation’s strategic goals. The role owns and manages all digital platforms, including the website, email marketing, paid advertising, and social media (Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring content is engaging, optimised, and aligned with BeyondAutism’s brand identity. This role works closely with the Outreach and Revenue Marketing Manager (ORMM) to ensure digital content and campaigns are effectively aligned with lead generation, outreach, and revenue-driving activities. Together, they will develop, execute, and optimise digital strategies that drive MQL to SQL conversion, audience engagement, and brand awareness.

About the role
Channel ownership and development
- Develop and execute a digital and content strategy that aligns with BeyondAutism’s overall marketing objectives.
- Actively manage and grow the website, social channels (Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), and email database, ensuring all content and contact lists are up to date.

- Manage the BeyondAutism websites, ensuring they remain compliant, up to date, user-friendly, and optimised for conversions.

Job Purpose
As Project Manager for the BSR registers you will ensure the continued success of BSR’s biologics and biosimilars registers and support BSR’s Registers and Research Committee. This role requires someone who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail, strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders from across a range of different sectors.
About the BSR registers: The BSR registers are a vital source of rheumatology data, which we encourage the rheumatology community to access and analyse for research purposes. BSR’s three active patient registers covering rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis are open for recruitment. Our ankylosing spondylitis register, although closed for recruitment, is available to access for academic research and is contributing data to research questions coming out of the EuroSpA research collaboration.
Main Responsibilities
Management of the BSR registers
- Hold overall responsibility for management of the BSR registers including all legal, contractual and financial matters
- Work with BSR’s delivery partners and registers funders to ensure that contracts, protocols and other agreements are implemented, upheld and administered effectively
- With support from the Head of Publishing and Director of Practice and Quality, negotiate, agree and manage contractual agreements with partners and funders
- Proactively and diplomatically manage contractual and legal risks and issues as they arise
- Ensure the rights and obligations of the BSR (including intellectual property rights and patients’ data protection rights) are upheld and met

Job Description
DMI is looking to recruit a Research Officer/Manager, whereby candidates from any location where DMI has a permanent presence (London, Antananarivo, Kampala, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Maputo, Mwanza, and Ouagadougou) are invited to apply. The salary and title of this role is dependent experience, and DMI will consider outstanding Masters graduates through to post-doctoral level researchers. To succeed, you will need to demonstrate significant research experience and a highly proficient report writing abilities.
More specifically, the Research Officer/Manager role will include the following responsibilities:
1. Designing and managing effective and scientifically robust evaluations (both quantitative and qualitative) for DMI projects.
2. Overseeing, advising, and supporting research teams in DMI’s national offices to conduct routine research activities (for example, focus groups to understand barriers to behaviour change) and other project specific research tasks.
3. Commissioning and managing external agencies (usually based in the country that we are working) to carry out surveys. This includes the competitive selection of an agency, often using a tendering process, liaising with the selected agency and ensuring that their work is of the highest scientific standards.
4. Contributing to writing and publishing reports based on data gathered and methodologies used during DMI projects. This will include articles for peer-reviewed academic journals and wider scientific publications.
5. Providing technical support to project design during the proposal phase, particularly in relation to the design of monitoring and evaluation elements.
6. Keeping abreast of the latest research evidence, theories, and concepts relevant to DMI’s campaign topics, and communicating trends and new ideas across the organisation.
7. Effectively communicating with, providing technical research support, and building the research capacity of colleagues (those with and without a research background) and sub-contractors in the areas of research methods, monitoring, process evaluation, and impact evaluation, analysis, and interpretation.

Person specification
Required knowledge, skills and experience
1. Very strong intellectual ability, as evidenced by a research-focused postgraduate qualification and significant research experience in epidemiology, public health, health economics, social sciences, statistics, biomedical sciences, or an equivalent field. The salary range is broad to reflect that we will consider outstanding Masters graduates through to post-doctoral level researchers.
2. Excellent writing skills (in English), likely proven both by a publication record, and by an ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-specialist audiences, both internally and externally.
3. Practical experience with, and good working knowledge of, statistical analysis software programmes, such as Stata, SPSS, R, or SAS, and strong general IT skills including questionnaire design, database development, and working with complex spreadsheets.
4. An inquisitive and open-minded approach, evidenced by knowledge and understanding of a broad range of research topics and a willingness to learn about new themes, approaches, and techniques when required.
5. Self-motivated with a high capacity for work, shown by the ability to cope with multiple concurrent professional priorities and tight deadlines. This will require strong organisational and time management skills but also the flexibility to understand the pressures, uncertainties, and difficulties of working in an international development context.

7. The ability to understand different cultural contexts, especially those in sub-Saharan Africa.
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience
1. Language ability in French, Portuguese, or Swahili. Fluency in other languages spoken in DMI’s countries of operation is also desirable.
2. Practical experience of designing, monitoring, and evaluating programmes, preferably with some research experience in developing countries, and meeting the monitoring and evaluation requirements of global funders. Experience of data collection using PDAs/mobile phones/tablets would be useful.

About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to join our dynamic Philanthropy and Events team within our Supporter Income & Engagement directorate. The successful candidate will support the continued growth and development of the highly successful 2030 Circle - a giving club bringing together likeminded supporters around a shared goal: to help halt the loss of the natural world by 2030.
This is an exciting time to join the team at a really pivotal moment – five years since the Club was launched and with five years left to halt and reverse nature loss.
You will work with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to maintain and build long term, effective relationships with a range of philanthropic donors, including individuals, families, trusts, foundations and SMEs.
You will share our passion for protecting the future of our planet for people and nature and be skilled at inspiring supporters both in person and in writing. You will have responsibility for day-to-day communications with our highly engaged members and contribute to all aspects of our curated donor journey, from impact reporting to supporting a varied engagement and stewardship calendar of high-level events and field trips. You will also proactively drive growth in the giving club membership through effective data management, warm approaches, peer introductions and lead generation activity. You will work collaboratively with fundraisers and different teams across the organisation to ensure we maximise opportunities to enhance the experience and build support from 2030 Circle members.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience of managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and individuals
- Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals.
- A track record of delivering against income targets.
- Demonstrable experience in identifying and tracking new funding opportunities.
- Experience of using fundraising databases/CRM systems.
- A good understanding of the philanthropic sector and of major giving clubs.
- Excellent communication, relationship building & interpersonal skills.
- Desire to embrace and encourage collaborative working.

About the role
We’re looking to recruit an economist to join our Policy Solutions Team, to lead our new flagship project: “Future Fit for a Just Transition”, a central part of our partnership funded with KPMG. Driving forward a just transition to a net zero, nature positive economy and financial system is a key priority in our strategy, and this programme will play a central role in the delivery of our objectives in this area. It will focus on international implementation of the transition, identifying best practices and challenges faced in different countries to facilitate shared learning, promote healthy competition, identify collaborative solutions, and hence speed up implementation.
You will be responsible for leading the methodological development and delivery of the technical work underpinning the programme, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This will include scoping out and developing economic metrics of national level progress on the just transition to a net zero, nature positive economy, developing compelling and impactful knowledge products and undertaking international engagement on the findings.
You will lead research, compile data, produce reports, documents and briefings as well as commission and manage consultants as needed. You will both develop the content and deliver the Flagship report, and use it to make the case for action and implementation to key stakeholders on proposed policy changes. You will also build links and strategic relationships with other organisations and other parts of the WWF global Network to promote and disseminate the work. Important will be the ability to create and provide diverse, relevant and impactful ideas for policy, and to involve communities affected by climate and nature loss in the process of policy development.
We’re looking for someone with:
· An understanding of how policy is influenced, both inside and outside Government.
· Experience of influencing key stakeholders including in government and the business community, changing opinions, practices and creating new models to deliver policy change and business transition.
· A degree level qualification in economics or relevant work experience in economic policy and analysis.
· Experienced researcher and commissioner of research, with experience of using economic analysis and quantitative methodologies, demonstrated by using evidence to analyse problems and come up with solutions.
· Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

LSESU is looking for a dynamic and proactive Sports Coordinator to join our Sports and Recreation team. As the primary point of contact, you will offer support and guidance to Sports Clubs and the Athletics Union (AU), empowering student leaders to create an outstanding experience for all members.
In this role, you’ll coordinate and develop Sports Clubs with a strong focus on inclusivity, health and safety, and the effective planning of fixtures, activities, and events. You’ll manage the logistics behind BUCS and LUSL fixtures, as well as plan and oversee Sports Club showcases, trips, and other major events.
You’ll work closely with both staff and student volunteers, contributing to the strategic and operational planning of the Sports and Recreation Team. Your role will directly impact the student experience at LSE, ensuring the smooth delivery of a wide range of student sport provisions, from facilitating impactful training for student leaders to overseeing the seamless execution of key events and sports fixtures.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual who is passionate about student sport and physical activity. You should be able to work independently, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage a diverse range of audiences—from student volunteers to external partners.

Public interest litigation refers to legal cases that will create positive change for vulnerable or disadvantaged groups of people in Northern Ireland.

Since our project was founded in 2009, our membership network has grown to over 170 NGOs and solicitor firms.
