Summary

This role sits within the Research and Operations Team in the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department. The post holder will work closely with frontline fundraisers to provide insight and guidance relating to the management and identification of new prospects as well as wider reporting and data management activities. By providing effective pipeline and data management, the post holder will support sustained income generation for the charity.

Main Responsibilities

This role forms an essential part of our high-value fundraising operation by working closely with fundraisers to identify and prioritise prospects through thorough desk-based research. The post holder will also be responsible for effective administration of the charity's partnership approvals process and will be instrumental to the effective rollout and adoption of the new CRM in the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department.

The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.

This is a full-time, permanent position paying a salary of £29,612.93 to £38,412.80 per annum depending on experience. The role is based at their site in Thurrock, Essex.

The Supporter CRM and Data Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the hospice’s supporter data and income operations strategy and developing annual delivery plans, including strategic planning and management of the Fundraising team’s supporter CRM, data insight and income operations function. You will develop, manage and review processes and procedures for all fundraising income and data across on and offline platforms and ensure all income and supporter data is processed accurately, in a timely manner and in line with Hospice policies and service level agreements.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of CRM database management and developing and maintaining database processes and procedures. You will have demonstrable experience of working with data for marketing purposes, including effective and compliant handling of communication preferences.

In this new position, you will be responsible for maintaining our customer relationship management (CRM) software and ensuring the accuracy of the data it contains, our IT infrastructure, and project manage the presentation of data and analytics across the organization.

Purpose 

The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Senior Data and Insights Manager. The role will strengthen network-facing resources and support in a data-driven way, devising and implementing measures to drive membership growth and enhance membership satisfaction. This would include collaborating on research and analysis, translating insights into recommendations to support decision-making, and developing membership content available through to our network. 

The Senior Manager would actively promote greater engagement with our network, demonstrating a commitment to identifying and removing barriers to ensure all members can access the benefits of accreditation. Working under the Head of Operations and Insight, the Senior Manager will need to have excellent data collection and analysis skills, and an ability to translate that analysis into actions for the Living Wage Foundation through strong communication skills. They will also need to be able to build relationships with senior stakeholders, maximising our impact through the development of our membership offer to the Living Wage network. The suitable candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively across the Living Wage Foundation and Citizens UK teams.

Main Responsibilities 

Build and manage projects, and achieve work targets effectively 

• Manage the development and continual improvement of membership services with evidence-based and user-centred design, ensuring network can access benefits. 

• Work collaboratively across the LWF to ensure our membership services offer is joined up and avoids duplication. Focus on working with events, communications, and the membership team.

• Implement processes and mechanisms for evaluating member-facing services and events and champion the use of these findings to guide future work.

• Initiate design and delivery of regular employer network surveys and prepare regular internal analysis and reporting. 

• Work with Research team to conduct regular quantitative network composition analysis and reporting of the Living Wage network, and establish clear ways to present this analysis internally and externally to inform strategic decisions. 

Learning, expertise and inclusion 

• Act as a learning facilitator, providing direct support and training to upskill colleagues across the Foundation to ensure consistency and collaborative working through disseminating good practice and shared learning.

• Oversee the production of membership resources both to promote membership services and as part of them.

• Monitor the business activity of key external and network organisations delivering membership services, analysing relevant performance data and research. 

• Undertake relevant training opportunities that will increase the Foundation’s capability to deliver outstanding membership services. 

• Display awareness of DEI issues, and demonstrate understanding of impact on network data and insights analysis, and membership offer.

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Identify and proactively develop relationships with external research and evaluation partners to develop and refine analysis approach.

• Manage a diverse range of senior stakeholder relationships related to improving membership services and intelligence, and attending relevant industry events.

• Contribute to and, where required, lead network-facing events and other meetings related to membership offer and network insights. 

• Use appropriate channels to regularly disseminate impact analysis and membership development findings across all levels of the Foundation, ensuring consistency in developing events, resources and support.

Data Analyst – Clinical Audits (x2)

The Data Analyst (Audits) will manage the secure handling of complex audit datasets and the analysis of data with a primary focus on an audit programme. You will work with the project team, including the audit clinical lead and senior data analyst, and take responsibility for presenting findings of the data analysis to experts. The College currently has two Data Analyst opportunities available: Epilepsy12 and the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit.

Reporting to the Project Manager (Audits), you will create analysis plans and report structures in line with the agreed datasets, working closely with the project clinical leads, managers and data platform suppliers, and take the lead in the planning of analytical processes for planned data analysis projects.

As a member of the Audits Team within the Research and Quality Improvement Division, you will establish and maintain robust data management and manipulation processes in line with data governance and protection requirements, whilst acting as the point of contact for audit data, technical and analysis enquiries from those submitting data for analysis.

Degree qualified in a social or medical science, statistics or other numerate discipline, you will be able to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships with health professionals and other key stakeholders.

With experience of producing and presenting high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences, you will have a background of working with Stata or R and Microsoft Excel for aggregating, recoding and merging data, computing new variables, and producing descriptive statistics.

You should also be able to contribute to key components of departmental and project reports, including interpreting the data analysis and writing editorial content. 

A high level of numeracy and the ability to handle and interrogate large, complex datasets in Excel and statistical packages along with knowledge of statistical methods of analysis and data cleaning, processing and management are essential.

Experience of preparing data for presentation to healthcare commissioners and regulators at various levels of granularity of NHS organisations would be desirable.

The RCPCH Research and Quality Improvement Directorate aims to promote evidence-based practice amongst paediatricians and child health professionals and improve the quality of care and health outcomes for children. Role overview

The Data and Insight Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality and impact across our mentoring programmes. The postholder will work closely with our Programme Managers to build evaluation frameworks that reflect our partners’ objectives and support the delivery team to plan projects that deliver on the partners’ target outcomes. The postholder will lead on analysing end of project survey data, drawing insights and recommendations and using these to write and deliver end of project evaluation reports. The Data and Insight Manager will monitor impact and outcomes across our portfolio and support our Senior Leadership Team to understand the impact our projects are having across our mentoring portfolio.  This is a varied role, suited to candidates interested in using data and insights to improve processes and articulate impact to a wide range of audiences.

Responsible for

• Creating evaluation frameworks for our projects based on logic modules, ensuring our mentoring delivery is outcomes-driven
• Collaborating with the programme delivery team to ensure partner aims are embedded in evaluation frameworks alongside our organisational Theory of Change

This 12 month project will help load accurate new and historic data onto our new CRM, MS Dynamics. You will work on designing new processes for importing current and ongoing financial transactions from our trusted suppliers. We are looking for a dynamic new team member with a PhD in a science/STEM subject to join our innovative Consulting Team and to contribute to the work of our Data and Training Teams. Agriculture and the health sciences are areas we are particularly interested in.

Specifically, we want an individual with a passion for research and sustainable development, a friendly, outgoing personality and a willingness to learn new skills. We’re looking for someone who wants to engage with international development and research projects to help them work more efficiently and have a greater impact.

This role will offer a range of experience and the opportunity to contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides.

Approximately half of your time will be spent working with our exceptionally experienced team of knowledge management and data consultants to help us develop and deliver cutting-edge data-management/analytics solutions and project-management software systems to our clients.

Your work will also involve working to help us manage and organise the projects we deliver to clients. The other half of your time will involve meeting with and training clients (to pass on your skills in research communications), both online and through face-to-face courses. Finally, you will be encouraged to contribute to company-wide strategy and business development. 

Your role will include:

• Helping sustainable development and research programs to develop and implement digital tools and analytics systems to better manage their workflows and use their data 

• Working with projects in Africa and Asia to provide technical advisory and consulting services to help them to better manage and share information, knowledge and data

• Training and mentoring international researchers by delivering courses, workshops, and individual support in areas including journal article/report writing, grant writing, project management and communications for non-specialists 

• Contributing to business development across the company, including marketing and client outreach.

Working with Scriptoria 

Our senior team has an exceptional skill set, and we recognise that candidates with all the skills we need simply may not exist. But don’t worry, if you have some of the skills we want but lack others – we will train you to fill those gaps. This will include thorough training in the delivery of our well-respected training courses. 

Our staff have the choice to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, SW London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings/training sessions with clients. 

Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with senior team members to gain new skills and exchange ideas.  

This job will require regular travel to deliver training courses (mostly in the UK, estimated 2 to 8 days per month) and may also involve international travel, including to developing countries. So, applicants must be willing to travel (in line with UK government guidance).

• A PhD in a quantitative STEM research subject 

• 2 years minimum of postdoc/industry experience (in a research or research-support role) 

• A strong understanding of research processes and data analysis and management 

• A demonstrated talent for writing - including writing journal articles and writing for non-specialists 

• At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal 

• Experience delivering live training/teaching courses 

• An excellent, practical knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint 

• Excellent English language skills, to the standard of a native speaker 

• The right to work in the UK.

Salary and annual leave

As  Data and Impact Officer you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making through insightful data analysis.

Working closely with the Director of Programmes and Impact, you'll be responsible for overseeing the processing and analysis of our data and helping to ensure the learning from this data is understood and embedded by our delivery team so that our programme is constantly refined. 

Using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Salesforce, you’ll ensure our data is timely, complete and accurate and will regularly support the delivery team, using insights you’ve identified from the data, that will help us continually improve.

About the role
As the Database Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the organisation's database operations, including ensuring all income received is accurately and promptly processed. You will help maintain the database to ensure data quality, assist with running data selections, and support the Fundraising teams with their data requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Gift Processing: Import and process donations from various sources, ensuring accuracy with platforms like Blackbaud and PayPal.
* Finance and Reconciliation: Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile gift income and ensure accurate data from suppliers.
* Database Maintenance: Ensure data quality, maintain GDPR compliance, update records, and manage Gift Aid declarations.
* Support and Training: Provide training and support to teams, manage helpdesk queries, and assist with reporting and data selections for fundraising.

* Knowledge of Data Protection: Familiarity with charity law, fundraising regulations, best practices, and GDPR.
* Advanced Raiser's Edge Skills: Proficient in using Raiser's Edge and Import-o-Matic databases.
