We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Deputy Manager, with experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills to support the Team manager in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and also embedding high standards in the running of the service. The successful candidate will be working alongside frontline staff to support the skills building needed to increase the independence of people with autism and/or learning disabilities and behaviours of concern. Responding to the Transforming Care agenda this service is providing a real opportunity for people to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life, as active and valued members of their community.

Outward’s autism and PBS specialist services have a strong reputation across London, where we support people to live full and active lives, with support designed around the person’s personal ambitions and choices. PBS training will be provided to develop the successful candidate into a PBS coach, and you will be working closely with our Positive Behaviour Lead to create a culture that promotes Positive Behaviour and Active Support values and practice. The role involves teaching people new skills and ways of communicating which reduces behaviours of concern.

About You

• Experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern is essential. (E)
• A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 3 months of employment is essential. (E)
• You will be an excellent communicator liaising effectively with key stakeholders including the multi-disciplinary and health professionals, family carers and people we support. (E)
• You will have experience of staff management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team, ensuring staff are appropriately trained. You will be visible in the service and strive to model best practice and inspire support workers. (E)
• You will be able to think creatively and be adaptable in approaches, with experience of implementing emergency management guidance to support staff. (D)

Specifically, the key duties of this role are:

Specific duties:

 Strategy

• Work with the Board to successfully deliver the CiC future ambitions and 5-Year Roadmap.  Specifically, lead the 5-Year Financial Plan; the Organisational Development Plan – including the 12-month Operational Plan; and the 5-Year People Plan

• Ensure organisational readiness to ensure TMS can respond positively and at pace to new opportunities

• Lead the development and implementation of the TMS 5-Year Financial Plan to support delivery of the 5-Year Roadmap

• Support the Business Development Officer (BDO) to deploy effective horizon scanning and networking to keep abreast of relevant international, national and local opportunities that provides opportunities for business development and community impact.

Governance

• Lead oversight of project delivery and responsibility for flagging matters for escalation as appropriate to the Board
• Lead operational management and administration of TMS within the frameworks established by the Board
• Ensure the Board are kept fully updated and advised in line with the 5-Year Roadmap. Specifically, lead the 5-Year Financial Plan; the Organisational Development Plan – including the 12-month Operational Plan; and the 5-Year People Plan
• Lead development, implementation and adherence of TMS policies and procedures and ensure they are regularly reviewed against current best practice
• Ensure that TMS meets all of its obligations as a CiC with all regulatory and compliance bodies
• Implement, manage and develop the TMS Operational and Delivery Governance framework on behalf of the Board
• Co-ordinate monthly reporting and provision of performance data to support delivery of the TMS Operational and Delivery Governance framework
• Work closely with the TMS Finance partners and management team to formulate budgets and forecasts
• Keep the Board appraised of the financial performance and position of TMS, monitor against budgets/forecasts and take any necessary corrective action
• Ensure that all major risks to which TMS is exposed are regularly reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate these
• Management of the day to day running of contracting.

People, Leadership and Management

• Lead the recruitment, education, training and development plan supporting the TMS CiC Team

• Directly manage, support and motivate staff through the provision of regular supervision and appraisal

Partnerships & Community Impact

· Develop a clear understanding of the TMS community and the role of TMS in developing activities which deliver its social purpose

· Support the BDO to maintain and develop strong relationships with members of the TMS community in order to identify opportunities for delivering community impact.

Quality

• Ensure that all TMS services are delivered to a high standard, and to identify, recommend and implement measures to improve the quality of services

• Ensure the organisation continues to demonstrate good quality by compliance with the quality requirements of service agreements, and with existing quality marks and accreditations

• Ensure management of projects to meet stakeholder expectations with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Marketing, External Communication & PR

• Support the BDO to be an ambassador and spokesperson for TMS at events, meetings and other networking activities with key stakeholders in order to promote TMS.

• Support the BDO to maintain and develop effective networks with principal stakeholders and TMS collaborators within respective area of responsibilities outlined in the 5-Year Roadmap.

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Policy, Government & Evidence Generation. This is a key role for Youth Futures Foundation as a What Works Centre. Key Responsibilities

What the job involves

This is an exciting new role within our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. The Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Manager will be leading strategic content and public affairs within Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll drive all our major campaigns and the development of the multiyear messaging narrative, all while directing and collaborating with a diverse and talented team of specialists. Your work within strategic communications and campaigns will inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.

Working closely with the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand you’ll outline and develop our narrative to our audience and communities, ensuring our campaigns are integrated across the Communications directorate and the wider organisation. You’ll manage the strategic content and public affairs teams as the key point of contact of our external public affairs agency.

This is a high responsibility role that promises tremendous growth potential, with the chance to work across multiple geographies. The position of Senior Analyst, at Bridges Outcomes, will support education projects funded by Sustainable Development Goals Outcomes Fund (SDG OF). Reporting to the Programme Manager, the primary focus of this position will be the successful delivery of the Sierra Leone Early Childhood Education (SLECE) initiative. However, we also anticipate this role to play a significant part in contributing to Ghana Education Outcomes Programme (GEOP) and Rwanda Early Childhood Education Programme, leveraging overlapping themes and collaborative opportunities across these impactful projects.

Sierra Leone Early Childhood Education (SLECE)

The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) has partnered with the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) and Lego Foundation to design and support SLECE to achieve the following goals:

1. Opening of new community-based centres that meet minimum safety requirements defined by GoSL.

2. Increased access using children’s attendance measured at various points in time.

3. Quality of settings & practices. Using local ECCE standards to measure structural quality (i.e., physical settings) and BEQI to measure process quality (i.e., teaching interactions, including the implementation of play-based pedagogy).

4. Improved children’s holistic development outcomes for children 3-5 using IDELA. 

Interventions are expected to be implemented across 3 contractual lots, each with its own delivery partner and unique approach. SDG OF is partnering with three different delivery partners, BRAC, Plan International and ChildFund, for delivery in all lots. Implementation for SLECE is expected to start in December 2024 and is expected to conclude in December 2028.

Ghana Education Outcomes Programme (GEOP)

The Government of Ghana has obtained World Bank’s funding to support the government’s strategy to improve basic education in Ghana, called Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP). Part of this programme of work has been commissioned based on outcomes with the objective of “strengthening support for schools and Out of School Children (OOSC)”.

The programme will be delivered in approximately 22 rural districts, along with Kumasi and Accra urban centres. The rural districts are grouped into six contracting Lots with 85-100 schools each, with the two urban centres acting as another Lot. The programme will consist of two key components: (1) Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) to support OOSC transition into mainstream schools and (2) Mainstream School Improvement Programme (MSIP) to support learning in GALOP beneficiary schools.

Out of the 6 rural lots, SDGOF is partnering with 2 different delivery partners, Rising and School for Life, to support interventions in Lot 3 and Lot 6. Implementation for GEOP started in January 2023 and is expected to conclude in December 2026. SDG OF is also partnering with Plan International to deliver in the Rural Lot from October 2024 to December 2026, this lot will only have the ALP component.

Rwanda Early Childhood Education Programme is currently in its procurement phase, with more details of the design expected to be finalised by end of the year 2025.

1. Purpose

The Impact Senior Analyst will be accountable for:

· Strategically guiding delivery partners in the development and implementation of effective MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) strategies.

· Enhancing the data capabilities of delivery partners, with a strategic emphasis on effective decision-making.

· Developing robust predictive models and frameworks that enable the team to forecast outcome achievements with confidence.

· Creating and disseminating actionable insights and learnings to support delivery partners and internal teams, emphasizing strategic problem-solving to enhance outcomes.

· Ensuring that delivery partners within the programme adopt data-driven approaches to continuously refine and improve service delivery.

· Facilitate collaboration among data analyst teams from delivery partners to proactively address challenges and co-create solutions aimed at enhancing service delivery

Process Improvement

· Lead strategic initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

· Refine and adapt existing working files and tools to optimize usability and performance, while evaluating current practices and identifying opportunities for substantial improvements.

· Identify opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data

Data Analysis

· Deliver high-quality statistical analysis and comprehensive impact reports to engage diverse stakeholders and provide meaningful insights that include short, medium, and long-term projections for enhanced programme impact.

· Ensure the relevance and effectiveness of data dashboards by integrating early warning systems to highlight priority areas for action.

· Provide mentorship and strategic oversight to M&E teams within delivery partners, ensuring the effective completion of roles and responsibilities.

· Maintain meticulous attention to detail and ensure high standards of grammar and accuracy in all documentation.

Data Integrity

· Collate and update volumetric and programme data and systems, continually developing and refining data collection processes.

· Strengthen data reliability by enhancing data flow from beneficiaries through to final reporting.

· Ensure compliance with data protection legislations when retaining and sharing information.

· Identify opportunities for process automation and ease of access to information.

Impact Presentation

· Deliver consistent, aggregated representations of project performance against targets, ensuring clear and compelling presentations.

· Partner closely with the Programme Director and Manager to create and deliver engaging and accurate programme outcome presentations.

· Tailor communication to suit varied audiences, including formal presentations for high-level stakeholders.

Relationship Management

· Collaborate with Analyst colleagues to streamline data processes, minimizing manual interventions where possible.

· Foster strong, professional relationships with delivery partners to ensure a positive and effective engagement experience with BOP.

· Work collaboratively with finance and investment teams to monitor programme invoicing and maintain awareness of the intersection between outcome achievement and the financial status of the project.

· Actively contribute to stakeholder meetings and forums, demonstrating focus and attentiveness to discussions

JOB PURPOSE 

UK for UNHCR is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join its team, raising vital support for displaced people around the world through creative campaigns such as the Refugee Dictionary, Cuppa Hope as well as fundraising appeals and partnerships. 

Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Officer will have particular focus delivering day to day social media communications, including community management, publishing, content management and development. This role will also support wider digital communications activities, such as with the Senior Digital Communications Officer who manages the website. 

This involves identifying opportunities to amplify appeals, campaigns and partnerships through social media to support UK for UNHCR’s fundraising and public advocacy objectives. Raising awareness of global refugee crises and UNHCR’s humanitarian operations forms a central part of this storytelling, as well as thematic campaigns and PR moments throughout the year.   

One of your first focuses will be helping grow and verify UK for UNHCR’s TikTok account and LinkedIn presence, in addition to transitioning the charity’s channels to a new social media management tool. You will also work closely with the wider Communications team in supporting online and offline fundraising appeals.  

The Digital Communications Officer will also work with the wider Communications team to identify and support storytellers (including refugees and supporters) to share their stories through the charity’s social media channels.

Planning, coordination and growth

• Deliver and schedule social media content on a daily and weekly basis, with flexibility to respond to news events and emergencies at short notice.

• Work with the Head of Finance/Finance Director where strategic decision support and forward-looking insight/analysis is required.

Knowledge and qualifications 

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified accounting technician (e.g. AAT).
• Understanding of the accounting framework and financial challenges for the charity sector.
• Commercial awareness.

Experience

• Demonstrable experience of managing multiple staff in a busy, transaction focussed team.
• Solid experience of purchase ledger, payment processes and bank reconciliations.
• Demonstrable experience of producing management information.
• Established track record of cultivating successful business relationships and partnerships.
• Some experience within the commercial sector is desirable.

Skills and abilities 

• Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills (essential, will be tested).  
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills (essential). 
• Advanced user of Access Financials, Access Analytics and Access Office Integration (desirable).

As an IDVA, you will be able to effectively work with men experiencing domestic abuse, and supporting them to increase their safety and reduce harm. You will be providing high-quality, front-line service to prioritise risk, primarily focusing on males aged 18+.

You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through attending meetings such as MARAC and DA (Domestic Abuse) Forums to keep safety central to all services for men suffering/have suffered domestic abuse. You will specialise and be a leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for male victims. Be willing to co-facilitate workshops across the service to ensure all clients are given the relevant advice in a timely manner.

You will be confident in your DVPO, DAPO, Occupational, restraining and Non-Molestation order knowledge. Be competent in completing the following forms-  DASH (Domestic abuse, Stalking and ‘honour’ based abuse), UPOA (Understanding Picture of abuse), UPOAP (Understanding Picture of a Perpetrator) and safety plans.

Focus on and prioritise high, medium and low risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support. Work with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their children safe.

Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance.

Support clients through the family and/or criminal justice system.

Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service including producing statistics, as required.
