We are looking for an Assistant Head of Public Engagement (Brand and Marketing) to join our Public Engagement team. - Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year

About the Role: Principal Consultant
Join our dynamic Board and Leadership Practice as a Principal Consultant. You'll play a key role in growing our executive search function and contributing to our primary focus-delivering exceptional Executive Search services for Chief Executives and Trustees/Non-Executive Board appointments within the Charity sector.

Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for CEO and Board recruitment
- Respond to RFIs and RFPs and lead on pitches
- Maintain a network of high-calibre contacts to raise the profile and reputation of the Board and Leadership Practice and Charity People
Project Delivery
- Advising clients and potential clients on current sector trends and on running open and inclusive recruitment campaigns
- Challenging and developing the role brief
- Design and execute talent acquisition strategies and brief our in-house researcher and delivery consultant accordingly
- Assessing candidates comprehensively and rigorously.
- Playing the lead role in longlisting/shortlisting meetings
- Advising and managing salary negotiations, packages, start dates, etc
- Collate market-related data such as salary surveys, industry trends, etc.
About You:

Essential criteria include:
- Prior experience in an exec search or recruitment firm, ideally in the Not for Profit/ Third Sector
- Excellent written and rapport-building communication skills.
- Managing multiple assignments at a time and delivering to tight deadlines whilst still upholding the highest quality standards
- Genuine passion and commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).
- High levels of integrity
- Strong reasoning skills to gather information from different sources and identify top-tier professionals.
- Passion for delivering excellence to clients and candidates.
- Previous experience in successfully growing new business and delivering against fee income targets.

You will be a key member of the senior team working to bring MRJ and LJ together, responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless financial transition. Working closely with colleagues and lay leaders, you will develop and implement key strategies within your area for the newly formed organisation.
