As a newly created position, the Fundraising Manager will report to the Head of Grants & Development and oversee a Fundraising Coordinator and Senior Database Officer. The role will be instrumental in implementing the organisation’s strategic plan to expand reach and impact and increase income by $10M over 3 years.
As Fundraising Manager, your initial focus will be developing existing and new relationships with institutional funders, working closely with the Head of Grants & Development. Developing relationships with foundations will be another priority area, with potential to leverage existing relationships that have arisen from tech-level engagement with foundations. In the longer term, plans include pursuing corporate sponsorships and developing income from individual donors (HNWIs).
As Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Implement the fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Head of Grants & Development and the Executive team
- Identify, build, and manage relationships with current and prospective donors across public sector funders, foundations, international organisations, corporate sponsors and individual donors
- Support the development of new projects/proposals in partnership with the Global Programs team, consulting with the Chiefs and Department Heads to ensure proposals align with their capacities
- Collaborate with the public sector licensing team to grow reach to public sector clients (corporates)
- Line manage and support a Fundraising Coordinator and Senior Database Officer
Ideal skills and experience:
- An entrepreneurial and resourceful fundraiser with experience of developing proposals and budgets and securing significant grants from institutional and international foundation sources
- Working with individual donors (HNWIs) and/or corporate sponsors would be advantageous, but not essential
- Evidence of excellent relationship management skills, with both current and prospective donors
- Ability to handle the complexity of managing multiple fundraising efforts globally

- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays, with a c.2-week office closure at the end of the year for the winter hiatus. About the Role

You will be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to identifying new opportunities and developing ideas. IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health and drug & alcohol teams across England. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID). A core element of the programme is the expert assistance provided by a team of IPS experts, known as IPS Grow Leads, to support providers to improve their fidelity to the IPS model and achieve better employment outcomes for their clients. Subject to funding award, we are recruiting to a Project Support Officer. This role will provide essential support to enable the whole team to effectively and efficiently deliver a wide range of provision to IPS services nationally.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to expand the IPS Grow team, aimed at helping health systems deliver high quality evidence-based employment practice. Responsibilities

Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement team delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s vision to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Our audiences include health and social care professionals, members of the public, charities, professional bodies and associations, UK policymakers and campaigning groups.
We are looking for a creative self-starter with a passion for digital marketing and skilled in community management.
You need to be a motivated and enthusiastic marketer who is comfortable working on impactful campaigns which have a wide and diverse reach. You should be confident bringing healthcare-related stories to life through different digital channels. You should also take a hands-on approach to all areas of marketing and understand the nuances, advantages and shortcomings of using different platforms.
You will be responsible for delivering outputs from our social media as well as leading on our email communications. You will analyse and evaluate the results of these campaigns and use insights to drive development, with support from the Digital Media and Marketing Manager.
Led by the Digital Media and Marketing Manager, you will also produce website content, support on paid advertising and creation of branded merchandise.
Digital marketing plays a key role in our ability to raise awareness for, and build the profile of, Resuscitation Council UK, our guidelines, courses, and standards. Working with other members of the Communications and Engagement team, you will support on digital aspects of campaigns and initiatives to further public awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation and support for survivors.
The post holder will work closely with all members of the Communications and Engagement, Governance, Operations, Clinical and Service Development departments and build strong relationships with the wider resuscitation community. Main responsibilities and duties
Website, SEO & PPC
- Write/produce, build and publish content for the RCUK website, including articles, features, statements and updates, ensuring diversity and inclusion is considered in everything we do.
- Ensure all content, imagery or files uploaded to the website are of an optimal file size and comply with accessibility guidance e.g., alt text, descriptive links.
- Support the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to deliver the SEO priorities for the organisation and increase RCUK’s reach.
- Use insight (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Crazy Egg, surveys etc) to identify content gaps and opportunities for website improvements in line with user requirements.
Campaigns
- Support the communications and engagement team to deliver on key integrated campaigns across the year.
- Support on the delivery of marketing and communications strategies for core RCUK products: including generating sales for commercial products such as e-Lifesaver and paid events such as conferences through digital marketing and direct communications.
- Support the Media and Campaigns team with asset creation and amplify media opportunities via our digital channels

Post summary
This is an exciting position for an exceptional person with a strong campaigning background to work for one of the UK’s leading rights NGOs. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to devise high-impact campaigns to achieve real change, co-ordinating a multi-disciplinary high-performing team to further privacy, free expression and data protection rights. Ideally, you’ll also be a key Big Brother Watch spokesperson in the media.
You’ll have both people and project management responsibilities, leading our campaigns on key policy issues such as facial recognition, free speech online, financial privacy, digital ID and algorithmic decision making in the welfare system.
You’ll plan, execute and evaluate campaigns across all areas of our organisational strategy: surveillance and power; free expression online; and identity and financial privacy - as well as explore new organisational priorities, over time.
About you
We’re looking for highly skilled professional with a track record of delivering impactful change and, importantly, a demonstrable passion for protecting civil liberties – especially privacy and freedom of expression. Ideally, you’ll have a high level of experience of or interest in working on new and emerging technologies.

Your role:
The Grantmaking Operations team sits within the Fund’s Operations department and is primarily focused on ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organizations. The team seeks to hire a Grants Specialist who will report to the Managers of Grantmaking Operations and manage the Fund’s most complex grantmaking programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
- Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a highly complex and high-volume portfolio of grants spanning 50+ countries.
- Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
- Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and flag potential areas of risk to the Manager of Grantmaking Policy and Models.
