The social media Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Musana’s online presence by leading creative initiatives, setting up digital fundraisers, collaborating with global teams, and managing our social media channels. Strategy:

Lead the social media strategy to build it out further and optimise as we go, which includes:

● Paid and organic social strategies and campaigns that align with our KPIs; Key KPIs include engagement, increase in audience, reach, key conversions

● Content creation management and scheduling for organic and paid social

● Influencer acquisition, contracts, and management

● Blog ideas and content management

● Support key leaders in the thought leadership sector

● Support for UK events

Creative Leadership:

● Lead creative development from the brand side with the content creation team, era92, based in Kampala, Uganda.

● Collaborate with the U.K. Director and U.S. Marketing Director to ensure all social media concepts are relevant, engaging, and aligned with Musana’s goals.

● Stay informed about events, activities, programs, and construction projects happening across Musana locations to share timely and relevant content.

● Build content will capture the attention of our audience and drive engagement. Work closely with internal and external teams to create content that captivates our audience within the first few seconds of viewing.

● Create campaigns, and own start to finish

○ Paid social strategy development and execution

○ Fundraising campaigns through live streaming, peer-to-peer fundraising, host virtual events, strategic ways to share blog content that pivots content into a fundraising effort etc.

Brand Guidelines & Consistency:

● Guarantee that every piece of content, including commenting and messaging, reflects Musana’s model of community development, brand values, brand voice, and brand visual guidelines.

● Engage with audiences and communities across social media platforms, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.

● Initiate and participate in conversations with thought leaders, organisations, and key stakeholders to build relationships and enhance Musana’s online presence.

Reporting & Analytics:

● Track social media metrics and insights, providing detailed reports that outline success rates, trends, and areas for improvement.

● Track and report user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics.

● Use data-driven insights to refine social media strategies and improve future campaigns.

Qualifications:

● Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field

● Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement

● Experience with tracking and reporting the user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics

About the Role

Reporting to the Africa Finance Director, the post holder will be a key member of the Africa regional support team, with primary responsibility as business partner with country programs for conducting financial analysis and performance evaluations of commercial channels, highlight business area for improvement and especially on commercial channels analysis, sustainability on Core centers, maternity centers, social marketing, and any other business channels.

The Role 

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Research and Policy Officer to work on a full-time basis, 37 hours per week; alternatively, we will consider part-time hours on a Job Share basis. The role is hybrid and based in Newcastle upon Tyne or within a commutable distance to our national Headquarters in the city. 

A part of NEA’s Policy and Advocacy Directorate, you will work within our highly effective social research team as we focus on a decade of delivery that will ensure those on the lowest incomes and living in the least efficient homes receive the support needed to ensure their health and wellbeing are protected, but also one that guarantees a fair energy future for all.

The successful candidate will work and collaborate on the design, development and delivery of social research and evaluation projects that support the charity’s strategic aims and policy advocacy priorities. As well as undertaking mixed methods social research that foregrounds the lived experience of households, they will develop research-user and stakeholder relationships and integrate evidence-based insights from across the charity’s work programmes to influence and have impact across multiple areas of social policy and practice.

What you will need to succeed 

You will have demonstrable and applied experience in a social research role and hold a degree in a social science or related subject that included social research methods. You will be familiar and confident with both quantitative and qualitative methods and be highly motivated and purpose-driven, with a passion for research that leads to real-world impacts. 

A compelling communicator you will be able to produce well-structured reports, and have excellent interpersonal skills, including experience of leading one-to-one and group interviews.

You will also have proven experience of analysis software, SPSS and Nvivo (or similar), and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite/365 applications. 

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of NEA’s mission to eradicate fuel poverty. 

We are offering 

• £32,641 - £37,304 per annum, Scale SO1 – SO2, Points 23-28.

As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. The MEL Officer will be part of the Global Technical Team, and will contribute to the team’s primary objectives to boost the efficacy and impact of the organisation's initiatives across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products

The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. You will not be starting from scratch, as we currently have secured government funding, as well as numerous relationships with governments that can be leveraged. And you will work in partnership with many colleagues across departments who will contribute to the success of this role.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Organizational Preparation: Help prepare the organization for success in securing new government funding by developing internal systems, processes, and workflows necessary for effective engagement and management.
• Strategy Development: Contribute to refining and enhancing the government fundraising strategy to align with organizational goals and emerging opportunities.
• Research & Identification: Explore international cooperation trends and the government donor landscape and identify promising funding opportunities.
• Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with other organizations to extend our reach and impact.

Skills for Success: To excel in this role, you will need:

• Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in fundraising for international human rights, social justice and/or development cooperation, with a proven track record of securing funding from government donors through both relationship building and competitive bids.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the government donor landscape and grant processes.
• Compliance Savvy: Strong grasp of compliance requirements related to government grants and experience in working with internal colleagues to prepare organizations to meet these requirements.

The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity.  They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team.  To succeed in the job, the post holder needs to build effective working relationships with independent school bursars and finance teams and link effectively with the Business managers in the state funded academies.
