About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust's Finance and Operations Team.  We are a small dynamic team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support in administering all financial controls and processing for the organisation.  The successful applicant will come from a financial background with a strong understanding of financial principles, an accounting qualification and proficiency in Excel.  They will have experience in bookkeeping, reconciling accounts as well as dealing with banking, grant applications and expenses. 

The role would suit an individual, who is approachable and organised, with excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team.  The role involves liaising and following up with all teams to ensure the data provided is accurate and timely, to support grant applications, payments and audit requirements.

To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, be proactive and have excellent communication skills, following up and advising staff across all teams.  They will need to have a positive attitude, and willingness to assist the whole team with other administrative tasks as and when required.  This role is predominantly working from home, with at least one day per week working in the office in Leatherhead.

This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) to include Monday and Thursday.  There may be a requirement to pick up additional hours to support with busy periods.

We are looking for a Research and Evaluation Manager to join the Work Action Area team at the Centre for Ageing Better.

We are a friendly, passionate, multi-disciplinary team of 11 people working to create fair access to work for people in their 50s and 60s. We run the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, pilot projects to test out new models of employment support and undertake high-level policy analysis and influencing.

The Research and Evaluation Manager is core to this work. You will be the research lead in the team – managing the research and evaluation activity that generates the strong evidence base we are known for.

About you

We would like someone who has been involved in the nitty gritty of evaluation research, balancing an interest in the technical sides of answering evaluation questions with an awareness of the practical challenges of doing so. It would be great if you had experience on the research commissioning side, but you could still have the right skills if you have only worked within a contracted research team.

We would like you to have good experience of qualitative research and secondary research. You need to be comfortable with numbers and basic data analysis, but you don’t need to be a quantitative specialist (as we have one of those).

We want you to have some experience working on policy-oriented research and developing policy recommendations. You need to be motivated by change, as well as understanding the problem. You will be a line manager in this role. Line management experience is a desirable attribute – but it is essential you can demonstrate that you have supported other people to deliver their work.

To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hub Administrative Assistant to work alongside our Hub Team Administrator for a fixed-term, from January 2025 until June 2025.  This role will support our Community Work Manager with the administration necessary to deliver our community work. This currently includes two food pantry sessions a week, and a combined pop-up pantry and Living Room (warm space) session each week.

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

· To process applications to hub projects and manage communication with project members.

· To co-ordinate volunteer communications.

· To create and manage volunteer rotas.

· To ensure team leaders have all relevant information for each session.

· To ensure data is populated and managed accurately, and according to GDPR requirements.

We're searching for a fundraising professional with experience in acquiring new donors through a variety of fundraising channels including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops. You'll be responsible for managing a £2.4 million budget and developing innovative strategies to increase individual cash and regular giving support. This role is not responsible for the supervision or direction of staff.

Operation Smile is a global nonprofit specialising in cleft surgery and care. We provide medical training, education and mentorship to surgical teams around the world, along with expertise, research and care through our staff and volunteers, working alongside local governments, nonprofits and health systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and drive recruitment of regular givers and cash givers to grow income and supporter volumes, in a multi-channel programme including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising channels, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops.
• Manage relationships with agency partners executing acquisition campaigns on behalf of Operation Smile UK for the betterment of the acquisition programme.
• Lead and execute our door-to-door (F2F) programme with the goal of expanding this form of acquisition fundraising over the coming years.

• Monitor and report on budgets and assist in building future expenditure and income targets. Work as part of the Individual Giving team to reach strategic targets.

Our client, a leading London Independent School is looking to recruit a permanent, part-time (21-hours per week) Database & Gifts Officer.  The post is to start as soon as possible and based in Dulwich.

Key responsibilities for this post will include:

• Maintaining the alumnae database, including planning, integration of other data sources across the school, liaising with colleagues across the school ensuring data integrity, GDPR and best practices.
• Following and maintaining clear processes to capture data supporting the development and alumnae activities and communications - ensuring that information is imported and recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Creating an annual timeline for data transference across the school, setting out and following clear process and structure. Including new alumnae, new parents, former parents and staff data.
• Conducting in-depth data analysis, data segmentation and reporting to understand key audiences, including researching across the department to identify "lost alumnae".
• Managing all demographic information, donor gift records, market analysis, and generating financial reports for the head of department.
• Working closely with the school's finance department to ensure that figures and data are reconciled for all reporting purposes and liaising on matters relating to the direct debit service provider & third-party gift processing agencies.
• Use the school's system to update and maintain accurate records and details, ensuring that any data collected complies with all GDPR legislation and best practices.
• Assisting when required at department alumnae reunions and events (which may be at evenings and weekends).

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Worked in a similar post previously, ideally from a school or not-for-profit organisation.
• Knowledge of the systems ToucanTech or Raiser's Edge or similar databases in a fundraising capacity.
• Demonstratable experience in database administration including import/export, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent administrative, organisation, attention to detail and time-management skills.
