The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support across multiple projects, including our new digital community platform, regional events, and board operations. The role
This varied role will focuses on developing a new legacy and in-memory giving programme, encompassing marketing campaigns, stewardship, legacy administration and events.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to develop and deliver compelling new legacy and in-memory giving campaigns for RZSS.
- Liaise with relevant colleagues, including fundraising, marketing and communications teams, to gain insights into our audiences and help to prepare legacy and in-memory giving copy and messaging.
- Lead on activities to promote legacies and in memory giving across all relevant RZSS platforms, including our websites, digital channels, events and direct mail.
- Lead on the planning and promotion of legacies and in-memory giving through on-site collateral and signage at Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park
- Develop and manage fundraising data on the CRM system relating to legacy and in memorial giving, supervising other staff when necessary to ensure all data is entered correctly and kept up to date, producing reports upon request and ensuring that financial information is handled with sensitivity.
- Use supporter data to inform and improve the legacy and in memorial programme.

We are looking for someone who

You will be responsible for:
- Providing a high standard of stewardship for supporters, nurturing existing supporters, thanking donors, and supporting charity events, such as our supporter reception.

- Developing and promoting the challenge events portfolio.
- Keeping the fundraising pages updated, helping to design and produce fundraising materials (flyers and fundraising packs).

This position is home-based with occasional travel for fundraising events.

Stewardship
- Monitoring the fundraising inbox, acting as a first point of contact for a wide range of supporters and enquirers.
- Developing individual giving income through enhanced communications, great stewardship and supporting on fundraising appeals.
- Nurturing our regular givers and looking for ways to grow our regular-giving donor base.
- Completing thanking processes efficiently for donations.
- Developing and managing tools and resources to support fundraising events such as sending out t-shirts, posters, flyers, donation boxes and fundraising packs when requested.
- Liaising with the communications team to create promotional materials to advertise events through the website and social media channels to increase engagement.
Administration
- Keeping accurate records of all prospect and supporter interactions on our CRM system, Raisers Edge NXT.
- Optimising fundraising and donation opportunities at key charity events, researching and recording information.
- Supporting the Fundraising and Development Manager as and when needed.
- Working with colleagues across, communications and services teams to ensure a smooth flow of information to support fundraising promotion and engagement.

THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager (Partnerships) role is a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing partnerships with The Girls’ Network's corporate and public sector supporters. The programme is well established with £170,000 worth of partners already on board. There is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the work, developing new collateral and ideas for excellent partnerships. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. There is an opportunity for the post holder to collaborate with the Fundraising Manager (Trusts and Foundations) on the development of grant applications.
Key roles and responsibilities
Income generation
- Primary focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of £170,000 worth of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet annual income targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
- Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning (MERL).
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping (using SalesForce), ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
- Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, ensuring a consistent and good supporter experience and identifying opportunities for development.
- Ensure that all reporting and grant monitoring is delivered in a timely manner, working closely with the MERL Manager and colleagues across Programmes.
- Oversee calendar of third-party events, liaising with external partners and ensuring appropriate TGN involvement.
- Provide internal management information and reporting to the Head of Fundraising on a quarterly basis, or as required.
Stewardship

The role
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Fundraising and Communications Officer who can help us to make a difference to people’s lives when national emergencies arise in the UK. That could be a flood, fire, act of terror or tragic accident - but whatever it is, you’ll be playing a vital supporting role in helping those affected to recover and rebuild their lives.

About the role
The purpose of the Fundraising Coordinator/Small Grant Writer role is to act as administrator and coordinator for all aspects of the Fundraising team, as well as working with the Head of Fundraising to research, compose and submit small grant applications (up to £10,000) using skilled writing techniques and knowledge of the culture, programmes and language of Kids Matter.
The Fundraising Coordinator/Small Grant Writer role involves:
- Supporting the Head of Fundraising in providing dedicated donor care and communications through the management, oversight and actioning of the donor thanking process ensuring all financial gifts no matter how large or small are acknowledged and thanked appropriately.
- Collaborating with the Finance Manager and Operations Administrator to ensure that all incoming donations are correctly identified, communicated and recorded in Kids Matter’s CRM system.
- Liaising with the Communications team to provide administrative support for the fundraising elements of campaign initiatives.
- Taking minutes at all fundraising meetings and distribute/action as necessary to the team.
- In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising, researching new small grant funding opportunities. Writing and submitting subsequent grant applications in a professional and timely manner.
- In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and utilising knowledge of existing donor and grant income and potential grant opportunities, helping to plan future years’ funding pipeline strategy.

Role Summary
The Marketing Officer role plays an integral part in the Marketing team, supporting the Marketing Coordinators to plan, execute, track and evaluate campaigns that promote the Into Film programme. The Marketing Officer leads on all marketing email communications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Marketing lead on all Into Film email communications – management and scheduling of all email communications to Into Film database and external audiences; management of email communications calendar; management of Email Service Provider (‘ESP’) – Into Film currently uses Salesforce Marketing Cloud; maintaining the integrity of the email contact list; writing copy, building, segmenting and sending emails.
