This fantastic opportunity offers hybrid and flexible working between home and our London office near Tower Hill. Currently the team meet typically once a week in the London office.
Your travel costs to the London office are not covered. This role will also require regular travel around the country, to our Network Partners and Storytellers - travel costs to these locations will be covered by Age UK.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.
Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe, and we are currently setting up a fourth clinic in Gateshead and a fifth in Redbridge. Each clinic is a local CIO which runs in partnership with Growing Hope and the local church. We have worked with over 700 children, young people, parents, carers and siblings since we launched. As a national charity Growing Hope has trained over 500 professionals & parents. We are continuing to expand, with the set-up of further local clinics on the horizon.

This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. This will involve line management of the Fundraising Manager and Executive Assistant in the team. The charity has a vision to champion accessibility UK wide and to set up twenty clinics in partnership with local churches by 2030, there’s a current pipeline in progress to achieve this. As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow, but will include:
Leadership and Management:
- Working as part of the Senior Leadership team to strategically support the running of the charity.
- Providing line management for the Fundraising Manager, Executive Assistant and other potential members of the team as the charity grows.
- Leading and participating in prayer and worship with the team in line with Growing Hope’s Christian values.
- Ownership of income raising of £710,000 for the national charity with a view to growth each year. In addition to this an income of approximately £100,000 for each local clinic and ensuring that income targets are met across the national and local charities.
Fundraising Strategy & Finance:
- Lead the development and execution of long-term financial plans in close alignment with the charity’s strategic goals from a Fundraising perspective.
- Reporting monthly to the Growing Hope senior team and trustee board on income, forecasts and plans to hit income targets.
- Manging the fundraising, marketing and communications budget lines.
- Oversee the process of forecasting and planning income for analysis of the leadership team and Board of Trustees.
- Support fundraising strategy development and long term planning for growth.
- Explore and implement strategies for ensuring best use of charitable funds, and maintaining financial sustainability.
- Explore and implement innovative strategies to ensure that Growing Hope are raising funds as effectively as possible at both a national and a local level.
Marketing and Communication:
- Overseeing and developing Marketing and Communication strategy across the charity, including PR development, socials and internal and external communications.
- Oversight of projects and campaigns running across Growing Hope.
- Promoting the Growing Hope brand both internally and externally.
- Developing strategies to support staff with understanding and working to the Growing Hope values.
- Oversight of marketing and advertising on behalf of the charity.
- Analysing key marketing performance metrics and using tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to formulate actionable insights for the marketing team.

ESSENTIAL

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

We are seeking an Access and Engagement Coordinator in the Library of the Religious Society of Friends, to play a key role in developing the management and accessibility of our collections in the future.
You will ensure the delivery of a user-focussed service in our reading room, while also undertaking audience development research and gathering data to support forward planning.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a public-facing role in a library, archive or museum service, knowledge of good practice in supporting and enabling access and engagement, and a creative and collaborative approach to their work. In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.
About You:
To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the Hampshire area.

The Café forms part of a central hub, housing a daytime café for the community and an after-school Youth Café that connects vulnerable young people to positive and inspiring role-models from their community, empowering and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community. The space is used for two similar, but distinct purposes and excellent working relationships between these are essential. This role is responsible for the daytime café and related income generating activities.
An initiative of the Matrix Trust, our café has built an excellent reputation, with the vision to provide a space for local people to retreat to, where they will find a friendly welcome and an opportunity to give back to the community. Key elements include: quality coffee, delicious healthy food, a calm but welcoming environment, and an eco-friendly, low waste ethos.
The Café is open 5 days a week, 8:30am to 3pm on Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
● Oversee the efficient daily operation of the café, ensuring high standards and excellent customer service.
● Engage customers, take and serve orders, and drive sales.
● Ensure all health & safety and food safety standards are met.
● Maintain a clean, welcoming, and friendly environment for customers.
● Manage stock levels, place supply orders, and handle cash management, including cashing up and reporting till adjustments.
● Develop and maintain a visually inviting space with up-to-date menus and quality food offerings.
● Implement and follow food rotation and waste management procedures to minimise waste and maximise margins.
● Utilise and develop methods that encourage repeat business.
● Secure the café at the end of the shift.
● Ensure all food and drinks served are of the highest quality.
● Achieve and maintain an excellent food standards rating.
● Liaising with the Head of Operations, oversee maintenance and repair of café equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
Customer Service
● Ensure customers have an efficient and enjoyable experience, consistently exceeding service and value expectations.
● Address customer complaints or refunds in a professional manner.
● Upsell products as appropriate and ensure the team is knowledgeable about the menu items.
● Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all customers, including regulars and first-time visitors.
Team Management
● Recruit, train, support, and lead a small team of paid staff, volunteers, and apprentices, including at-risk young people.
● Plan staff rotas, monitor performance, and conduct appraisals to recognise training needs and potential.
● Ensure the team maintains a clean, visually inviting space.
● Act as a positive role model for young apprentices, volunteers, and work experience students.
● Develop and implement staff development programmes, including team-building activities.
Café Development
● Develop seasonal menus and menu items to celebrate calendar events.
● Promote the vision of Matrix through the café.
● Be passionate about the vision of the café.
● Achieve café goals and targets set by the Board of Directors.
● Identify areas for development that will drive the business forward, keeping abreast of new concepts and ideas in the industry.
● Ensure that customers are given an efficient and enjoyable experience and that service and value expectations are consistently exceeded.
● Collaborate with marketing and business development to create promotional strategies, including social media campaigns.
Building and Event Management
● Liaise with the Head of Operations about any building maintenance issues.
● Promote the hireable spaces and arrange events that enhance the café’s offerings.
● Encourage use of the café by local groups such as creatives, book clubs, parents etc.
● Manage café events, ensuring the team sets up the space as required and that the hirers are properly looked after.
● Coordinate with local businesses and community organisations for partnerships and events.
General and Wider Charity Involvement
● Be a proactive part of the wider Matrix team, getting involved in projects that benefit the mission of Matrix, such as fundraising activities or team projects.
● Ensure knowledge of current Matrix projects and their impact.
● Participate in community outreach programmes and initiatives that align with the café’s social enterprise goals.

About the role
As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Torquay shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.
About you
You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. The Legal Officer will conduct advocacy to achieve PI’s goals. This will include legal, policy, research, outreach and public engagement initiatives as PI formulates new and creative ways to demand change globally, including working with our partners across the world.
Essential Requirements:
Experiences
• Experience working with international human rights standards and/or national rights frameworks.
• Law degree or equivalent postgraduate diploma in any jurisdiction.
• Admitted/qualified to practice in any jurisdiction.
• Experience in a legal role post admission/qualification.
• Understanding of and experience working within a variety of local, national, and international jurisdictions, including those governed by common law or civil law.
• Experience taking creative approaches to novel legal challenges.
• Experience in NGOs/human rights organisations or working with national and/or international human rights bodies and mechanisms.
