At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team.

You'll support the Corporate New Business Manager with the account management of corporate partnerships and generating new income through securing new corporate partnerships.

You'll support the development and ongoing review of the prospect pipeline, researching companies and sectors with an affinity for our work, whilst managing a portfolio of small to medium sized partnerships (worth approximately £5-75k per annum). 40% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive.

Many children fall behind with reading simply because they lack the opportunity to practise: we work to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most. Chapter One’s unique, online, reading support programme pairs struggling 5 to 8 year olds in over 11 areas of the UK with over 3000 volunteers who are recruited from a range of local and national businesses.

We are seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner experience. This is an opportunity for an early career professional to learn about charity-business partnerships in a dynamic, small charity which is flexible and agile. 

Reporting to our Corporate Partnerships Manager, but also working closely with our Business Development Manager, you’ll support them both to deliver our annual volunteer targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (currently 88%). This will involve supporting both the identification, acquisition, and onboarding of new partners, but also the account management of a portfolio of existing partners.

The role 

In this role you will support the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver fundraising initiatives that will support existing corporate partners and securing new gifts. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day account management of existing corporate partners, new business development and the co-ordination of our payroll giving program. This will include research, prospect development, donor cultivation & stewardship, verbal & written presentations and all associated administration.   Additionally, you will contribute to projects within the philanthropy & partnerships team such as events and webinars; and the wider fundraising team to collaborate on prospect development, funding opportunities and volunteering.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks. Agile decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.

You may have fundraising experience, but this is not essential if you have sales experience. 

You will have:

- Excellent customer service skills with a background in fundraising or sales.
- Experience in new business development including identifying, researching and contacting cold prospects.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Strong administrative, planning and prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail.
- Competency with all standard Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of using a supporter database or CRM

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships. 

Job purpose:

• Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.
• Identifying and securing new sponsors and exhibitors for the Chartered Institute’s event business, including one-day conferences, webinars, and Fundraising Convention.
• To identify, secure, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.

​Key Accountabilities

• Work and support the Head of Membership Engagement across the following income streams:
  • Fundraising Convention: Responsible for the overall management of expo – planning, sales and invoicing;
  • Fundraising Convention sponsorship: lead on this and assist the Executive Director when required;
  • One-day conference sponsorship and expo: to be partnership lead on day-to-day conference sponsorship sales including print advertising;
• Develop partnership support for the strategic objectives of the Chartered Institute;

Overall purpose

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

You will be:

• a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,
• a keen collaborator, working closely with colleagues in our Services directorate to deliver high impact employability programmes for our refugee clients, and with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Public Engagement to identify and drive cross-fundraising opportunities,

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

The Fundraising team is a small but mighty national team. Income is generated through High Net-Worth Individuals, Corporate Partnerships and Trusts & Foundations. Our Corporate Partnerships function is led by a Senior Manager along with a Volunteering & Partnerships Manager and Fundraising Officer. Many of our Corporate partners are multi-year and strategic. 2023/24 will see MyBnk continue to grow, raising £4m and beyond as we build our national team and deliver more expert-led financial education through our award-winning programmes.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead several existing corporate partnerships to ensure that they deliver significant impact, engage staff, and raise awareness of the importance of quality financial education across the UK. Staff engagement and senior stakeholder management will be key deliverables in addition to fundraising product innovation and maintains MyBnk’s high partnership retention rate. 

This role is perfect for someone progressing their corporate fundraising career, but not yet ready to specialise in account management or new business. A priority will be to ensure that we really support and value our existing partners, but you will also have the opportunity to research and develop new opportunities with the Head of New Business. Valuing the importance of the day-to-day routine of administration, data entry etc will also be central to this role and an important responsibility.

To support existing corporate partners, creating opportunities to grow and develop their engagement and support. To support the Head of new Business in the development of new partnership opportunities. This role is about shaping and growing corporate fundraising income and so priorities may change and there could be juggling of priorities, so it’s important that this is an environment that you have experienced before and can thrive in. You will have an innate desire to listen, to learn and to grow in this role.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have a creative and purposeful mindset, with a desire to make the most of opportunities while also being able to ruthlessly prioritise. This year, and every year, as many as 600 families in the UK will learn that their child has only half a working heart. These children have one of the most complex of all heart conditions, and there is no cure. Families in this situation need care and support to understand the information, make important treatment decisions, and meet the everyday challenges of living with half a heart can bring.

That is why Little Hearts Matter exists. We wrap a blanket of understanding and care around families at every stage of their half a heart journey. We are always here when they need us.

Without donations, Little Hearts Matter would not be able to offer our services, free of charge, to support individuals and families across the UK. We do not receive any government funding for our work. Our fundraising team is essential to raising these vital funds—over £440,000 annually. A better future for seriously ill children starts with you, our Fundraising Manager, within our three-person fundraising team.

In your first three months, you will get to know the charity well and figure out who our current supporters are. You will devise a plan for how you will use your experience to raise money, with a focus on building our challenge and events portfolio. You will also start building good relationships with key people inside and outside

Little Hearts Matter, including networking within the Birmingham and West Midlands business community.

By the end of your first year, you will have put your plan into action, continually improving it as you go. You will have built up our events and challenges portfolio, connected with donors, found new supporters, and tried out different ways to bring in funds and hit your target. You will have monitored your progress, using goals to measure success, and adjusting the plan when needed. About Little Hearts Matter

Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.

Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations and the gradual realisation that they will never have the same life as their peers. Our aims are to:

Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.

Reduce fear by offering patients, parents, siblings, and the extended family a greater opportunity to understand the diagnosis and treatment paths available.

Reduce confusion and a lack of understanding by producing and supplying for free, user focused information that supports and aids understanding from the time of diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.

Specific areas of responsibility

Working as part of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Manager will:  

• Be responsible for their own portfolio of supporters, maintaining and growing income, regularly forecasting income and expenditure against agreed targets (circa. £200,000+ annually)
• Proactively manage and grow relationships with diverse corporate and community supporters, delivering tailored propositions where appropriate, providing excellent relationship management to maximise their impact and long-term engagement.
• Build excellent working relationships with regional partners, supporters, and volunteers, to maximise the impact of their own fundraising and identify new opportunities through their networks.
• Develop and lead on exciting and engaging events, challenges and appeals to support the Fundraising team meeting its financial objectives.
• Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Head of Service and Grants Manager to ensure synergy in planning and delivery of income generation targets.
• Maintain accurate records of supporter interactions on the CRM system to deliver exceptional supporter experience and harness the value of data.
• Attend events, including out of hours working where necessary (compensated by Time in Lieu)
• Be a passionate ambassador for Little Hearts Matter, always maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
• Ensure all Fundraising activity complies with the Fundraising Code of Practice, GDPR guidelines, EDI principles, and other relevant regulations, guidance, and policies.

• Provide line management for the Fundraising Coordinator (.6 FTE)

Purpose of the job 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. This role focuses on identifying and securing new income generation opportunities with Corporate Partners across strategic, commercial and charity of the year style collaborations. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure income from new corporate organisations and achieve new business targets
• Identify new corporate opportunities to add to the new business corporate pipeline
• Pro-actively engage new businesses using a range of methods: e.g. working with senior stakeholders, events, networking, cold calls, emails, LinkedIn
• Develop and strengthen warm relationships with prospective funders and find opportunities to engage them in the work of UK Youth
• Develop corporate bids, budgets and proposals, managing the process across different teams, cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Create and present high quality, persuasive funding bids to C-suite audiences and senior stakeholders
• Present and attend meetings alongside senior leaders and stakeholders at UK Youth
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to identifying new streams of income from different corporate audiences
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to develop the corporate partnerships offer beyond income generation, identifying opportunities for corporate partners to offer their skills and expertise to further UK Youth’s charitable objectives
• Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and recognised, working closely with the finance team
• Ensure that the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times
• Keep up to date with trends, research and data on fundraising and corporate partnerships, helping to inform long-term strategy

Experience we're after

• Demonstratable experience in a sales or corporate fundraising role, working on six – seven figure proposals
• Proven track record of corporate partnerships fundraising/ securing sales targets from new organisations
• Experience of working in a busy and deadline-driven environment and achieving ambitious targets
• Experience negotiating, pitching and presenting to senior (C-suite) internal and external stakeholders

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience

Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter helps thousands of lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned animals every year, reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those no longer wanted. Their objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals.

About the role:

The Corporate Fundraising Officer will be instrumental in generating income and in-kind support from local businesses and corporate partners. You'll be given the opportunity to develop and manage corporate partnerships, manage two events, attract corporate volunteers, and promote fundraising initiatives. Alongside the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you'll be involved in co-ordinating and delivering a corporate fundraising plan and will help the shelter achieve their fundraising strategy.

About You:

We are looking for a strong relationship builder who has experience in fundraising or business development. You'll have a track record of achieving targets and developing fruitful relationships. You'll be an expert communicator who can create persuasive proposals and presentations, with a creative and proactive approach to securing fundraising opportunities.
