About the Angelou Centre
The Angelou Centre is a Black-led women’s organisation committed to empowering Black and racially minoritised women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Our refuge provides trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and holistic support to help survivors heal, recover, and rebuild their lives.
As we grow and expand our refuge provision, we are looking for a dedicated Refuge Manager to oversee our safe accommodation services, including emergency housing, move-on accommodation, and specialist provisions for women with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
Role Overview
The Refuge Manager will lead a team of Senior advocates and House Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support is provided to residents. The post-holder will ensure that the refuge operates in compliance with all statutory requirements, housing regulations, and health & safety standards. They will also be responsible for property management, working closely with landlords, housing associations, and local authorities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of domestic abuse support services, safeguarding practices, and compliance obligations within the social housing sector.

About the Role:
As the Educational Partnerships Manager, you will play a vital role in connecting with schools, colleges, and youth clubs across North East London, with a particular focus on those based in the most disadvantaged communities. This means you'll be working with schools that serve young people from areas with the greatest barriers to social mobility. Your mission will be to ensure these young people have access to life-changing opportunities, enabling them to develop vital skills, build an enterprising mindset, and prepare for a successful future.
You’ll be a key member of YE’s Educational Partnerships Regional Team, collaborating closely with the Educational Partnerships Regional Manager to drive the success of our enterprise and financial education programmes. These programmes are designed to help young people make positive contributions to their communities and society, while equipping them with the tools to shape their own future.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will engage directly with young people and teachers in schools, delivering and supporting YE’s programmes, while developing new relationships and strengthening existing partnerships.
There is a degree of manual handling and you will be required to work some evenings and weekends. Further:
- There is the potential to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to support with setting up venues for events.
- You will be required to transport resources and other materials between your car and the venue or around a school building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Nurture Relationships: Cultivate and expand relationships with educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and youth clubs, to deliver YE’s programmes and services effectively.
- Promote the Impact of Our Programmes: Raise awareness of YE’s enterprise and financial education programmes, demonstrating how they help young people build essential skills and prepare for the future.
- Delivery of Programmes: Deliver engaging sessions and support the delivery of YE’s programmes to young people across various educational settings, including schools, colleges, and youth centres.
- Volunteer Management: Identify, recruit and locally train Business Volunteers, Volunteer Mentors and Local Volunteer Teams. This will include harnessing excellent relationships with volunteers, ensuring that our volunteers are supported on their journey with YE.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work alongside your regional team to achieve shared KPIs, contributing to the success of the region and the wider organisation.
- Income Generation: Actively support efforts to generate local income and secure resources to continue delivering our impactful programmes.
- Safeguarding: Undertake training and ensure YE’s safeguarding policy is adhered to at all times.

We are looking for an experienced and creative partnerships officer, to join our high performing and fast paced team at an incredibly exciting time. You will be managing and supporting a varied and interesting range of partnerships including existing and brand-new partnerships.
Key duties and responsibilities
As a skilled relationship officer, you'll collaborate with your manager to provide high quality partnership management, developing creative fundraising and engagement plans to excite and inspire your partners. You will work to deliver outstanding donor led stewardship and activate campaigns to generate income. You will work collaboratively with staff across Mind, together with other stakeholders and external contacts to maximise income and other opportunities for Mind.
Key Responsibilities
Working both independently and with support from your line manager:
-Steward, renew and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, effectively planning, developing, and delivering the partnerships to maximise income and wider benefits for Mind.
-Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement plan to maximise income and added value over the course of partnerships, deliver donor-focused stewardship so partners want to stay with Mind.
-Collaborate with internal teams to maximise potential and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships, e.g. communications, celebrities and PR, pro bono, and gift in kind, lived experience, finance, events, services, and wider engagement.
-Adapt and promote Mind's core campaigns and activities to partners to engage partners with our cause and deliver excellent stewardship, working with the Planning and Development team.
-Lead or assist with the creation of innovative fundraising initiatives, assets, and materials to engage and inspire our partners.
-Report back on how our partners' support has made a difference, demonstrating a clear understanding of the breadth and depth of Mind's work and the projects they're supporting.
-Track and monitor income and expenditure budgets to ensure income targets are met, flagging any variances to your line manager in good time. Work efficiently with Finance and Supporter Care to deliver accurate reporting.
-Collaborate with your manager to manage risk in new and existing partnerships and to ensure that Mind's corporate policy is adhered to.
-Represent the Partnerships team in appropriate working groups, workshops and/or meetings/other events as directed.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to generate income for the Olive Tree Cancer Support Group through community and corporate fundraising, principally in Crawley and Horsham and surrounding areas. This will involve planning and implementing a community and corporate fundraising strategy, engaging with individual donors, community organisations and corporate sponsors to generate a significant level of income to agreed targets and working with the wider team to advance the goals of the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced community and corporate fundraiser who is confident and capable in taking the lead on this key strand of our fundraising stream. You will be managed by the Centre Manager and supported by the Trustees and will have autonomy on leading on individual donors, community and corporate events and partnerships.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of building relationships in a fundraising role, across a variety of audiences resulting in increased income generation. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills coupled with an ability to inspire and motivate others and engage compassionately with service users.
You will need excellent organisational skills with a good understanding of fundraising targets, as well as strategic thinking ability in combination with good problem-solving skills. You must be a team player, with a mature, credible and conscientious approach, as you will be part of a small team, working with vulnerable service users, in a key role for the organisation. You will also be required to assist in day-to-day operations at the Centre.
The flexibility and willingness to work several evenings and weekend days throughout the year and ability to travel independently is essential for this role.
What we’re looking for and main responsibilities:
• Experience working within a charitable environment.
• Ability to lead the strategic and operational management specific to the Olive Tree community and corporate fundraising functions to help deliver agreed income targets.
• Ability to act as an ambassador and build and maintain relationships with individual donors, community organisations and community partners to maximise donations.
• Stewardship of existing and introduction of new corporate relationships, including giving presentations, identifying sponsorship opportunities and supporting at corporate events, to enhance revenue streams.
• Ability to develop legacy fundraising in a sensitive manner.
• Oversight and management of all marketing and fundraising materials for community and corporate events.
• Recruitment and management of fundraising volunteers to assist at events.
• Tracking and recording of income for reporting purposes.
• Liaison with the Communications Administrator to generate fundraising income and boost levels of engagement amongst key audiences.
• Assisting the team with general enquiries and operational matters as required.
• Work onsite as the default mode of work with a degree of flexibility for the right candidate. Usually based in our Horsham Centre but occasionally working in our Crawley Centre.

About the Role
