The Access & Participation Project Coordinator is a brand new, exciting role designed to support LSESU’s work around access and participation.
The successful candidate will play a lead role in identifying areas where there is a need/opportunity for targeted interventions to support the experiences of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, before putting then translating these into evidence-based proposals.
The Access & Participation Project Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering these programmes, as well as for reporting back on them and proactively seeking ways of driving continuous improvement.
The role will also oversee the delivery of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Mentoring Scheme. This landmark programme, that was last year nominated at the National Diversity Awards, pairs students from ethnic minority backgrounds with LSE alumni, who provide the former with mentoring and support during their studies.
The successful person will be responsible for reviewing the programme and seeking to build upon its fledgling success to ensure it is bigger, better and more impactful than ever.
This role will also involve close working with stakeholders at LSE, especially those working on the delivery of LSE’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).
You would be joining a fantastic and friendly Advice Team, consisting of the Advice Caseworker and Advice Manager, that sits within the wider Student Voice Department, and which together oversees all of the Union’s advice, policy, democratic, campaigning and representation work.
Given the breadth of work undertaken within the department, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

The role will require finding opportunities for supporting disadvantaged student groups and then designing, implementing and delivering projects and activities. Project management, stakeholder management and communication skills (both verbal and written) are considered essential, as is the ability to undertake research, policy, and monitoring & evaluation work.

As Health & Safety Manager, a typical day might include:
- Developing and embedding a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation, through daily actions messaging and ways of working, to ensure that positive H&S awareness and responsibility is the way things are done here.

Engagement Lead Health Inequity
This is an exciting opportunity to work with those affected by stroke and those working in stroke, to focus on the health inequity that stroke survivors experience. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our leadership team in the South West – specifically Bath & North East Somerset.

The Role
The project has recently been through the research and design phase and is now ready to implement a number of tests to address health inequities experienced by Stroke survivors following their stroke. The project exploration and design has taken a collaborative approach with our NHS colleagues, the Engagement Lead will continue with this approach.
Reporting to the Associate Director for the South West & Channel Islands, the Engagement Lead will:
· Lead and oversee the project tests, measuring the impact with an ability to adapt and flex as the project develops.
· Have responsibility for developing the project with a test and learn approach.
· Hold themselves and those involved to agreed timescales & actions.
· Have responsibility for management of the project budget.
· Lead the engagement work with the NHS & those affected by stroke

About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· Experience of working in partnership with other organisations, ideally in voluntary, health and social care
· Project management, delivery and impact measurement.
· Strong understanding of systems leadership and influencing principles.
· Knowledge of health and social care systems.
· Strong understanding of health inequity and its impact.

About Black Cultural Archives (The BCA)
Inspired by Pan-African civil rights leader Queen Mother Moore, our founders established Black Cultural Archives in 1981 with a mission to create Britain's first archive-museum dedicated to representing the culture and history of Black people in Britain. Today we are a national institution dedicated to collecting, preserving, and celebrating the histories of Black people in Britain in order inspire and give strength to society. What we need from you
As a talented fundraiser, developing new business across various income streams, you will possess fantastic written and verbal communication skills, and have a proven ability to successfully apply these to a range of products and audiences in order to increase income.
You will be able to balance the needs of the audience and organisation and ideally, you'll also have some experience of managing events, and genuinely care about giving outstanding support to your stakeholders in order to generate more money.
You will grow to understand our potential donor pool and hold a vital role in planning events and coordinating other activities to encourage donations and help us move toward our vision of being the home of Black British history. You will work with a close-knit, enthusiastic team under the Managing Director to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
You will have a proven track record of generating income by writing high-value trusts and foundation proposals and the ability to build and influence relationships at all levels. You will be a creative and emotive storyteller with the ability to work independently and proactively.

Xenia is a grassroots women’s organisation on a mission to create more inclusive, equal and welcoming communities. We deliver weekly workshops in London and Sheffield which support women from all backgrounds, ages, faiths, cultures and immigration statuses to share, connect and learn together.
Participants are at the heart of the Xenia community. Migrant, refugee, asylum seeking, and British women come together as active equals at our workshops where we use the arts, heritage and power of conversation to connect, learn from each other and take part in local civic life. The Role

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the top ranked and top performing healthcare Trusts in the UK, providing care to a community of over one million people across two hospital sites and twelve community clinics. The Trust is the fourth largest A&E provider in the UK, treating over 300,000 patients each year.
Over the last six years CW+ has grown its fundraising programme extensively and is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team at a crucial stage in their Thirty at Thirty major appeal – its ambitious programme to raise £30m to celebrate the Trust’s 30th birthday. This will be the largest fundraising drive in the charity’s history and a successful, effective team will be central to its success.
The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations. The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.
As the portfolio is mixed in its development, it is important that this post holder can work with tenacity and resilience in an ever evolving landscape of relationships and opportunities, in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Fundraising. The successful candidate must have a positive, pro-active, donor-centric approach to relationship fundraising and demonstrate proven success at securing major gift support from individuals and family trusts/foundations. We are seeking a Head of Fundraising & Engagement to provide vision, leadership and hands on delivery for income generation and communications to inspire and empower a small team and drive growth in the charity’s income, communications and campaigns.
Bringing proven experience in successfully developing and implementing fundraising and communication strategies, you will be an expert in building relationships with partners and donors and have a track record of delivering voluntary income growth.

This role will join TCV at an exciting time for our charity. You will be central to a small immediate Fundraising team and a wider income generation directorate. This is a great opportunity to work on the implementation of our income strategy that aims to grow our supporter base and engage existing audiences.
The role reports to the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and your key focus will be to support the growth of fundraised income over the next 3 years. This will involve many things including the development of fundraising appeals, lead generation campaigns, in memory fundraisers, legacy, payroll giving and the creation of compelling stewardship journeys for a range of audiences.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is keen to make a difference. You will have a broad skill set and previous experience of working in a small Fundraising team. You will be as happy responding to donor enquiries and carrying out finance reconciliation as you will be developing creative approaches for a new Fundraising appeal. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, experience of working with Fundraising CRMs, good analytical and administrative skills, and experience of working on a range of fundraising campaigns.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Experience of working on fundraising campaigns using varied channels, including - email, social, direct mail.
- Excellent data handling skills and be a confident user of CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a good creative eye.
- Experience of working in a small but busy fundraising team
