The Opportunity
A 6-month work placement with a UK charity starting this November.
Trade commercial expertise for invaluable insights into charity structures, funding models, cultural nuances and gain tangible deliverables showcasing impact. The experience will deepen your understanding of the charity sector and the preferences of hiring managers.
These hybrid roles vary, but all require marketing experience. Salary is at the living wage at a minimum. £21,840 - £23,933 per annum. Roles are full time, with the option to discuss part-time. Locations vary across the UK and include Cardiff and London.

Labour Behind the Label's Advocacy Lead is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders in campaigns to call for better conditions in the garment industry and pushing our message in the media. They take part in LBL’s outward facing work, delivering lobbying and campaigns, and designing actions to push brands and policy decision makers to improve conditions.
You will join Labour Behind the Label - a small but mighty garment workers' rights campaign, working as part of a global network of unions and worker rights groups on the ground in garment producing countries to improve conditions in fashion supply chains. Our workers' co-op is a flat structure organisation where you get to work alongside a small of team of colleagues to shape campaigns and directly make a difference.

Design and participate in delivery of UK-wide campaigns strategies to call for better rights and conditions in clothing production facilities worldwide, alongside other staff

Communications

Lead on press work, including representing Labour Behind the Label in the media, writing and sending press releases, logging media coverage and responding to media enquiries where relevant.

Build LBL’s press list and relationships with journalists

Write campaigns communications towards supporters, including online supporter mailings and updating the website regularly with new content.
Urgent Appeals (1 day)

Work with the Clean Clothes Campaign and international partners to respond to urgent appeals

The Service Manager will be responsible for the operations of a specialist supported living service which support up to eleven residents with Learning Disabilities, Autism, complex behaviours and/or physical health needs. The role will provide line management for a Team Leader and support the team, ensuring that compliance with organisational, legal regulations and those of the local authority are adhered to. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality of support provided, ensuring excellent quality of life for customers and a good working environment for colleagues. The role will require the individual to be the CQC registered manager for the service, making the person the accountable person with the Care Quality Commission, as well as with commissioners and key stakeholders.
The role will also require the individual to embed a Capable Environment in the service/s and a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach through coaching and leadership. Co-production and a person-centred approach are essential to this role.
Regular working hours will be Monday - Friday, 9.00 - 17.00, however flexibility will be required.

The BSAVA is looking for an experienced policy professional in the areas of policy development and legislative change set against a backdrop of a complex and regulated environment. The role operates within a changing landscape dealing with high-profile issues for the sector.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape BSAVA’s policies and national legislation with the aim of influencing outcomes of benefit to the veterinary profession, its clients and the health and welfare of companion animals.
Skills and experience:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a track record of success, who can demonstrate excellent understanding of policy-making and legislative change in an unpredictable environment. They will have significant previous experience of working in a policy role, ideally within a life-sciences or a veterinary or human medicine setting.
Experience of working with central government departments along with an understanding of parliamentary processes are preferable for the role. Equally important is the ability to analyse and critique information, formulate evidence-based solutions and accurately convey proposals to influence outcomes.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with strong written and verbal skills. They will be able to demonstrate effective engagement skills across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including the membership. Diplomacy and political awareness will be essential to ensure successful outcomes. Experience of PR and reputation management as part of the policy-making agenda is desirable.
The candidate must be flexible to work outside of normal office hours depending on the demands of the role which are often driven by the external environment and national events. The role is hybrid, incorporating working from home with travelling to meetings in or around London as required. About the BSAVA:
The BSAVA is a professional membership association which exists to advance care for companion animals. Who we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Special Events Team as Senior Special Events Fundraiser.
We have some exciting events coming up including a reception in October and a high-profile dinner at The Design Museum in November, so we need somebody to come in and hit the ground running. Please note that these events are in the evenings so the role will require some flexibility.
You will work closely with the Head of Special Events to deliver our events, taking responsibility for key elements of the management and delivery of each event and ensuring they meet budget targets. You will collaborate with internal teams on delivering events, including the bi-annual Patrons’ Club Reception and other events that arise over the year.
Relationship building (both externally and internally) is a key part of the role and an integral part of working for JDRF so you will have excellent interpersonal and stewardship skills.
As a highly creative and confident fundraiser, you will be given the scope to develop existing events as well as creating new and innovative events to increase fundraising as well as raising awareness of JDRF.

About the role
As the Trusts & High Value Relationships Manager, you will play a key role in building and managing the charity's relationships with high-value funders. You will collaborate with senior leadership to deliver income from Trusts, Statutory, Corporate, and Philanthropy sources. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying potential new funding sources as the charity evolves and expands its activities. You will cultivate and sustain relationships with funders and develop high-quality funding applications and reports to meet donors' monitoring and evaluation requirements.

We are looking for an experienced individual giving fundraiser to join the Development and Corporate Partnerships Department based in London. You will raise money for a range of projects and programmes, as well as manage a number of unrestricted income streams including our lottery. You will be a proactive fundraiser who can confidently communicate our impact and plans to our members across the UK and work as part of the wider team. You will be happy to travel to our gardens and shows as needed, working closely with colleagues across the RHS.
Building on your strong experience and knowledge of individual giving programmes, your role will be to help us expand our income and activity plan.
