About the role

The purpose of the Head of New Business Development role is to relentlessly seek new opportunities for Starlight to develop high return on investment partnership opportunities.

A key focus will be to increase the variety and volume of corporate partnerships, seeking strong alignment of purpose and culture to establish long-term relationships, providing partners with the value they seek and delivering a reliable pipeline of income and gifts in kind for Starlight.

The scope of the corporate income opportunity is huge, but there is also the opportunity to build an initiative-taking culture of growth across a number of different fundraising activities, giving the opportunity to create relationships through many touch points.

Starlight already receives significant income from partner events like CarFest, the TRIC Awards and The Story of Christmas. The tangible nature of our purpose and the appeal of our brand, makes us an attractive partner for these third-party events.

An important part of this role will be to identify new event partner opportunities that deliver income, as well as the opportunity to extend our reach, engagement and build new relationships.

Job Purpose

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As our Alumni Relations Lead you will:

• Develop and maintain an ongoing dialogue with our alumni community through focus groups and research to reach a clear understanding of what they want and need from us, including the differences between Sixth Form and apprentice alumni.
• Undertake regular data collection cycles to track the current employment and needs of our current and future alumni. This will include but is not limited to using surveys  and research. Develop a systematic approach to holding data (including data protection) and CRM.
• Work with your manager to develop an ambitious approach to how we understand both the impact of our alumni in their roles and our continuing impact on their career.
• Deliver against programme KPIs and continuously drive improvement.
• Deliver and shape a programme of planned communications and marketing to the alumni community to drive engagement.
• Deliver and shape a programme of both in person and virtual events and activities to drive impact. These include but are not limited to:  providing specific services e.g. jobs board, career coaching, networking events.
• Maintain, manage and internally champion our alumni database, ensuring rigorous GDPR rules are adhered to.

The Interim Deputy Executive Director’s responsibilities will include managing senior staff at Reprieve, including the Directors of Casework, Advocacy and Policy, and working with the Joint Executive Director to oversee Reprieve’s Fundraising and Finances, its Governance and Board relationships, and its HR and Operations functions.

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of leadership of a small to medium size human rights or similar charity, preferably with some international operations. They will have exceptionally strong management and people management skills, excellent judgment, proven ability to lead teams to achieve impact in their work, and an understanding of charity governance and finance issues.

This is an interim, 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 2 days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home.

About the role
The NextGen Community Producer will play an integral role at Youth Music shaping and developing our support for young adults, particularly helping them to close the gap between learning and earning in music.

You’ll join us at an exciting time as we look to scale up and enhance our community engagement efforts. Building on the foundations established in phase 1 between 2021-2024, your focus will be on increasing participation, and fostering a more cohesive and active community. Day-to-day you’ll be programming national events, workshops and networking opportunities; brokering progression opportunities though Youth Music’s industry partners, and recruiting to paid freelance creative roles. Programme Development

• Act as the day-to-day lead and point of contact for the Youth Music NextGen Community, representing their voice internally and externally.

• Support recruitment for any other Youth Music or partner opportunities created for the NextGen Community. (e.g. gigs, festivals, activations, focus groups, etc).

NextGen Fund

• Support the marketing and promotion of the NextGen Fund.

Demonstrate Impact

• Work with the Insights Team to listen and act on feedback from the NextGen Community. This will be via monitoring, research and consultation that informs the ongoing development and design of the NextGen offer.
• Prepare and present reports on the plans, activities and impact of NextGen Community.
• Share our learning internally and externally at panels, conferences, and through written pieces.

• Capture NextGen membership on Salesforce so that we have a clear understanding of who is in our community.
• Work with the Database Administrator to improve our systems, processes and user journeys.
