About the role: 

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing the bpf’s work and mission. This exciting opportunity would suit a fundraising professional with effective leadership, strategic thinking and analytical skills. Proven experience within the non-profit sector, with a broad range of fundraising skills and expertise, is essential. This role will suit someone who can roll their sleeves up and get the job done, as well as someone looking to take on a more strategic and project management role.

The TSA is seeking a highly experienced, confident and capable Head of Fundraising to provide leadership and direction on all aspects of income generation. The charity has gone from strength to strength over the last 24 months, including income generation, and we are looking for an experienced fundraising professional to continue this amazing work.

Strategic, leadership and management

Overall purpose

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

Umbrella Cymru has been awarded the contract to deliver support to anyone referred to the Welsh Gender Service and therefore work in partnership with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to provide a full bio-psycho-social support service to trans and non-binary people in Wales.

We have also been commissioned by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent to deliver a support service to any children and young people affected by any crime or antisocial behaviour in the Gwent area.

You will:

• Manage the corporate services functions of the organisation
• Provide executive support to the Director and board of Trustees.
• Produce high quality minutes of internal, external and board meetings
• Manage Director's schedule of appointments, meeting and events.
• Manage official correspondence and communication
• Manage purchasing, invoicing, and financial record keeping
• Produce and present financial reports
• Manage performance reporting, grants and funding contracts
• Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures
• Develop bids, proposals and applications for funding
• Arrange and attend events to publicise Umbrella Cymru's services.
• Provide administrative support for local and national projects
• Act as a point of contact for team members.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records
• Undertaking other tasks as necessary.

We are looking for a new senior fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships and other priorities across the Humanities.  Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. When it opens, the Schwarzman Centre will bring together seven faculties from the division under one roof for the first time. The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.

About the Role:

This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

To Be Successful You’ll Need:

• To be an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts and the ability to secure gifts in the range of £100k-£1m+
• Confidence to work with people from a range of backgrounds, both internally and externally
• The ability to think creatively in prospecting, cultivation and stewardship

Salary:

Grade 8: £45,585 - £54,395 per annum with possible extension to £59,421, plus an Oxford University weighting of £1,500 per annum (pro-rata).
