We are seeking an experienced, confident, and proactive person to join our team. You will be an integral part of the charity, leading on the majority of new business within our Corporate Partnerships Team, building your own pipeline, and partnerships, whilst acting as resident expert for external corporate opportunities.

Join a team setting up our Community Climate Fund (CCF), that aims to raise £100m and be actively supporting community climate action in 25 places across the UK by 2030. This is an exciting opportunity to identify and deliver a plan in a place (e.g. Salford, an area in Manchester, Warrington or Wigan) to have a positive social, environmental and economic impact for the communities there.

The Community Climate Fund Senior Lead, will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the fund in the vicinity of the M62 corridor and will:

• Increase resilience to economic and environmental shocks
• Strengthen community coherence and wellbeing
• Accelerate progress towards net zero

The role will involve:

• Identifying and developing our next place in the North West of England to operationalize our Community Climate Fund.
• Developing a deep understanding of, and engagement with the community organisations present in the area as potential beneficiaries of the Community Climate Fund.
• Nurturing relationships with cross sector representatives at all levels to collaborate and ensure the community climate fund meets local needs.
• Working with our climate action experts and the steering group, to select community climate projects to fund.

This role will be based close to the M62 Corridor - the post holder will work from home, but be willing and able to commute to the selected place approximately twice a week.

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.

The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal!  In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.

The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.

Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.

• Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.

THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.

You will be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and ambitious in achieving results. Experience in project development and management, including budgets, and an understanding of impact evaluation and reporting are also necessary.

Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager

As our ‘Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager’ you will develop, deliver, and manage a range of corporate and community fundraising initiatives that will help the Throat Cancer Foundation (TCF) promote and deliver its services.

About Us

Founded in 2012 we are a UK charity that provide support, advice and information to patients and their loved ones who are affected by cancers of the head, mouth, neck, chest, and those throat cancers caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). We also campaign for universal HPV vaccination to prevent any future devastating throat cancer cases. Raising awareness of HPV and how it causes throat cancers has been and continues to be a large part of our work.

About the role

The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. This is a unique and challenging role, which will see the successful applicant working on a variety of projects at any one time, whilst working under pressure to deliver results. It is therefore important that anyone in that role has great communication skills as well as experience of managing fundraising events on a nationwide scale.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fundraising duties as required.
• Be the customer service face for all fundraisers and fundraising activities.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of TCF’s community fundraising activities and third-party events.

About You

You have demonstratable experience as a corporate and community fundraiser with excellent knowledge of the charity sector. You are friendly, highly organised, and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You’re able to write professionally and compellingly for various funders. You have a passion and empathy for people and their power of community to connect and support others.

Essential Skills

• Proven track record in corporate and community fundraising.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
• Fundraising support experience.
• Understanding of fundraising within the charity sector.
• Ability to co-ordinate priorities and work accurately and to tight deadlines.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal comfortably with key individuals at all levels.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge or membership of professional fundraising membership organisations.
• Experience of budget setting and management.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our small but mighty Partnerships and Philanthropy fundraising team. 

The team is made up of seven fundraisers focusing on securing high-value gifts with big impact, both from companies and from trusts and foundations.

Our perfect candidate will ideally have previous experience in corporate fundraising and confidence in growing and managing a diverse fundraising portfolio. You’ll be a proactive self-starter with creative flair who has strong attention to detail and excellent new business, account management, relationship building, pitching and writing skills.

In this job, you’ll work closely with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and wider corporate partnerships team to drive forward new business by seeking and securing innovative new partnerships with high-value companies. You’ll also deliver excellent account management by providing our partners with an inspiring supporter experience. Your portfolio may include large Charity-of-the-Year collaborations, nationwide campaign-based partnerships, multi-year partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and sponsorship and Cause Related Marketing (CRM) opportunities.

You'll be joining us at the start of our ambitious and exciting journey, to win more of and grow our strategic, high-value partnerships. You’ll be instrumental in helping our team to reach our ambitious fundraising targets and ultimately improving the lives of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

Changing Faces are looking for a new business specialist to help grow corporate partnership income at Changing Faces. This role will be 90% focused on new business with a 10% account management split.

You will have an excellent network of corporate funders and a proven track record of successfully bidding, winning and managing corporate fundraising partnerships. The role will suit someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills along with plenty of creative ideas to engage potential partners and win pitches.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior fundraisers to shape and craft the future of corporate fundraising at Changing Faces.

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will: 

• Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships at five and six figure level
• Secure new corporate partnerships including corporate foundations, Charity of the Year, cause related marketing and strategic partnerships
• Be a senior brand ambassador for the charity, engaging and developing effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Build a robust pipeline of partnerships opportunities

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience of working in a corporate partnerships/corporate social responsibility/marketing/sales environment
• Ability to win and deliver major charity & corporate partnerships (£50-100k+)
• Experience of writing compelling copy, pitches and campaigns to secure new partnerships
• Strong commitment to Changing Faces values, vision and purpose and to keeping the voices of people with visible differences at the heart of all work
