This is an exciting new role to both support the coordination of existing ‘leaders in advocacy network’ and to coordinate and lead the project developing a membership body for the group to transition to. The postholder will work with the Advocacy Programme Lead, members of the leader’s network and other key stakeholders to understand what is most needed from a membership/professional body for advocacy providers, develop and launch that offer.
Our nationally recognised advocacy programme seeks to support best practice in the commissioning and delivery of independent advocacy, so that people who draw on advocacy get the support they want and need, in the way they want and need it, when they want and need it.
The role is a 12 month fixed-term contact and there will be a review at the end of 12 months to review the feasibility of continuation of the contract.
Role descriptions
Project Coordination
- Update and deliver project plan putting in place effective project management systems and processes
- Report on progress, risk and issues and work with the Advocacy Programme Lead to address
- Work with Advocacy programme Lead to coordinate and manage the project as a whole, working with network members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver against project plan
- Proactively plan and attend network meeting programme, and task and finish groups, working with partners and stakeholders including agenda setting and note taking
- Set up and maintain a members and stakeholders contact list (CRM system)
- Provide constructive and regular communications to network members and Partner organisations
- Actively seek to improve key programme business processes, seeking innovative solutions, updating and streamlining on an ongoing basis to make them more accessible and realise efficiencies
- Ensure the safe and secure handling of personal or sensitive data, making sure arrangements are always compliant with NDTi’s policies and the Data Protection Act (GDPR). Update Data Sharing Agreements with Partners and ensure the relevance and accuracy of Privacy Policies for network members. You will be the key contact for compliance and breach reporting, escalating to the nominated Data Controller where necessary
- Coordinate additional meetings and conferences as required
Relationship management and representation
- Build and maintain relationships with core advocacy leader network members
- Act as key point of contact for the project with advocacy providers and stakeholders
- Develop new relationships across the sector with leaders, policy experts and wider stakeholders
- Lead on regular communications and transparency across network
- Manage stakeholder expectations being aware of potential areas of conflict or differences in opinion
- Attend and contribute to external meetings with various partners, influencing processes, capturing and completing actions
- Create a range of documents, resources, and systems, negotiating deadlines and responsibilities.

Research and Feasibility
In partnership with the advocacy Programme Lead design and carry out an options appraisal to understand and present options and associated costs and methodologies for delivery of an advocacy membership body. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Exploring different models of membership bodies
- Research and present different fee models
- In partnership with the sector explore and present options for a membership offer
Organisational and other responsibilities
- Represent NDTi as required, ensuring NDTi is presented as a values-driven, innovative, and high-quality organisation that is up to date with policy and practice and delivers effectively
- Work proactively with colleagues and teams across NDTi, contributing to organisational life and actively participating in meetings and events
- Ensure all organisation systems and process requirements are followed, supporting business and financial operational management of NDTi, adhering to all aspects of the Staff Handbook and relevant policies and procedures.

AVID exists to reduce the immediate suffering of people detained and work towards a future without detention. As part of a small and agile team, the Senior Network Coordinator is a central role at AVID.
It is a crucial time to join AVID, as we embark on the implementation of an ambitious new strategic period and contend with detention expansion, increased enforcement, immigration deterrence and hostility. Summary
The Senior Network Coordinator is part of the AVID function (alongside the Senior Member Coordinator & Co-Director for Membership and Operations) to deliver AVID’s capacity building support to AVIDs membership network of visitor groups and drives collaboration.
The Senior Network Coordinator leads on the coordination and cultivation of the network infrastructure support to visitor groupsand network collaboration. The Senior Network Coordinator fosters collaboration between members and strengthens best practice for visiting, utilising AVID’s Members Charter as a central point of reference. As a small network, relationship building is central to this role and the post holder will provide 1:1 guidance alongside a programme of capacity building support based on membership needs. The role includes responsibility for the ongoing development of AVID’s Members Charter; coordinating and delivering AVID’s membership support programme of network calls, trainings, and skill sharing sessions; and the development of resources on the AVID members’ space.
This is a varied role, working directly with our diverse range of members across the UK, with a focus on the more established groups in the AVID network. The Senior Network Coordinator works closely with the Senior Member Coordinator who has a focus on smaller, grassroot groups and new visitor groups in the AVID network and visitor engagement.
Main duties and responsibilities
Relationship building and providing tailored 1:1 support to visitor group coordinators in the AVID network:
- Building relationships with AVID members across the UK with a focus on more-established groups in the AVID network.
- Providing 1:1 support, outreach and mentoring for group coordinators.
- Identifying, developing and collectively shaping good practice standards in visiting throughout the network.
- Responding to members’ queries and maintaining ongoing communication.
- Working with the Senior Member Development Co-ordinator to induct new groups to the AVID network and involve smaller grassroot groups in AVID’s programme of support.
Work alongside visitor groups to build their capacity, resilience and strengthen best practice for visiting in detention through:
- Delivering AVID’s core training modules on immigration detention and visiting to visitors groups, ensuring materials are relevant and up to date.
- Leading on a programme of training (both in-house and external), education and skill-sharing that addresses the needs of members and group coordinators.
- Building sustainable practices and collective care amongst visitor groups which respond to the adverse impacts of working in detention and vicarious trauma.
- Co-ordinating the AVID Annual Coordinators Network Gathering alongside the Senior Member Development Coordinator, jointly overseeing all aspects of administration and coordination of this event.
- Developing, updating and increasing use of AVID resources through oversight and development of AVID’s Members Area and resources/policies/guidance for visitor groups and coordinators as well as supporting the development of AVIDs volunteer visiting handbook.
- Working alongside people with lived experience of detention in the AVID community to facilitate meaningful opportunities for leadership in network activities.
Develop network collaboration, facilitated peer-support and alignment of groups around shared network values, strategies and goals through:
- Co-ordinating and facilitating AVID member calls and skill shares to provide structured peer-support and ensure that information is effectively shared in the AVID network.
- Working with AVID members to establish processes and activities for collaborative development and ongoing revision of the members’ charter.
- Embedding charter values across AVID’s network support and capacity building work with a priority focus on anti-racism & anti-oppression and lived-experience leadership in line with our strategic objectives.
Maintaining and monitoring the activity of the AVID network and identifying emerging areas for development through:
- Developing and improving access to AVID’s membership offer, administering the annual membership renewals and keeping up to date records of AVID members.
- Designing and implementing annual members survey.
- Keeping an up-to-date record of member activities, meetings, participation and feedback.
- Keeping abreast of the development and support needs of the AVID members as well as changes in detention policy and practice.
- Identifying and building relationships with external partners to strengthen collaboration and partnerships with the wider movement.
Other tasks:

As one of the three Co-ordinators for our RNID Near You community service in South and West Wales, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering the community service across your designated area through drop-in sessions offering:
· practical hearing aid support
· information on hearing loss and tinnitus
· hearing checks
You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in sessions and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 25 volunteers to deliver the service. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of the chosen area to seek new opportunities for delivery of the RNID Near-You services.
We are looking to appoint a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to all venues where we will provide drop-in sessions in community settings.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.
You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

About the role
This is the campaign you will be working on
One of the key issues we work on is accountability for sexual violence against children in institutions in Latin America, which aims to challenge impunity and improve access to justice for victims and survivors. Combating sexual violence against children globally has been a core part of CRIN’s work for more than a decade, and from this experience we see common challenges across the most systemic and entrenched forms of institutional abuse and exploitation: secrecy, cover-ups, abuse of power, stigma, shame, and impunity.
To successfully challenge this status quo, we have looked at the experiences of countries like Ireland and Australia, which were some of the first countries where survivors mobilised to demand and secure legal reforms to improve access to justice and establish national inquiries into child sexual abuse which prompted other policy reforms. In an effort to support and strengthen similar survivor-led activism elsewhere in the world, since 2019 CRIN has worked alongside grassroots organisations in Latin America led by adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Our focus has been to support their national campaigning that challenges impunity for abuse committed in the region’s Catholic Church, but we have since expanded the scope of our work to cover institutional settings more broadly.
CRIN’s added value in the campaign includes providing much-needed financial support and capacity building, research support, international and legal advocacy and helping to expand partnerships. By working with survivor-led networks, we aim to encourage their development across the region so that governments can no longer ignore their demands for truth, justice, reforms, and reparations.
This is who we are looking for…
We are looking for someone to coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the campaign. The focus of the role is on project and budget management, strategy planning and implementation, and partnership building. But given the generalist nature of campaigning, you may at times conduct advocacy support, media outreach, research and analysis, and event coordination.
You would work alongside the Legal Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator, as well as part of the core project team comprising the Co-Directors and the Legal and Policy Coordinator.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Leading the delivery of CRIN’s campaign supporting grassroots organisations in Latin America to end impunity for child sexual abuse in institutional settings.
● Building and maintaining trust-based partnerships with grassroots survivor-led networks in Latin America, ensuring engagement is anti-colonial, trauma-informed and participatory.
● Building partnerships with key allies, such as civil society groups, journalists, academics, legal experts, consultants and funders.
● Managing the campaign budget and related administrative tasks, including partnership contracts and sub-granting.
● Providing advocacy, research, and administrative support to partners, as needed.
● Organising capacity-building events to support partners’ organisational development.
● Providing occasional research and writing support to colleagues in the production of advocacy materials, including submissions to human rights bodies and research reports.
● Managing project communications, including updating the campaign webpage, leading on media outreach, coordinating the production of research reports and translating all project materials.
● Working with CRIN’s communications staff to create content for the website, social media, and newsletter.
● Managing the campaign’s Monitoring and Evaluation, recording, and reporting actions, deliverables, and learnings, including coordinating annual progress reports to our funder.
● Participating in regular project meetings to discuss developments, address any issues and plan the next stages of the work.
● Participating in organisation-wide activities such as regular team meetings and collective decision-making.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
● Professional experience or interest in issues related to access to justice for survivors of childhood sexual violence.
● Professional experience or interest in working with grassroots organisations and/or survivor-led organisations.
● Native-level fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
● Experience in project and budget management.
● Ability to cultivate partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including grassroots organisations, activists with lived experience, civil society organisations, international NGOs, journalists, and lawmakers.
● Knowledge of or interest in participatory approaches to partnerships and decision-making, as well as an understanding of how oppression can manifest in the issues we work on (and how we work as an international NGO) and a keen interest in how we can implement an anti-oppression approach.
● Motivated, with strong organisational skills and ability to manage one’s own work (including while remote-working).
● Ability to think strategically and critically.
● Ability to thrive in a small but diverse international team, with a strong commitment to anti-discrimination, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The following would also be an advantage:
● Previous experience of working at an NGO and/or in human rights campaigning.

About Tender
Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Role Purpose
The main purposes of the Projects Coordinator role are to:

Organise meetings and networking opportunities to facilitate relationships, share learning, and collaboration on employability skills workshops, job fairs, and mentoring projects.

Provide clear communications to participants, members and partners through emails, website copy and newsletters.
2. Event Coordination:

Coordinate a calendar of events, including job fairs, member meet-ups, an annual conference and training sessions, managing project timelines, registration, and evaluation.

Provide logistical and administrative support for events, Job Fairs, workshops, and member activities including bookings, delegate lists, venue coordination and catering.

Attend and facilitate in-person and online events, representing the Refugee Employment Network and welcoming participants and partners.
3. Mentoring Projects:

Coordinate the day to day running of mentoring projects, including reviewing mentee and mentor applications, matching mentors with mentees and being the first point of contact for all mentors and mentees.

Design and deliver mentoring training, guides, and toolkits to ensure impactful mentoring experiences.

Monitor and capture impact through surveys, focus groups, drop- sessions, impact reports and case studies
4. Jobs Board administration:

Regularly upload job opportunities to the Refugee Jobs Board and serve as the first point of contact for employers, recruiters, and job seekers.

Work closely with the CEO on the digital development of the jobs board
5. Administration & Database Management:

Maintain accurate records and manage project data to support programme development, insights and data gathering and sharing.

Provide the day-to-day administration of Refugee Employment Network’s projects, membership, events and jobs board.
6. Communications and Impact:

Create clear and compelling communication through the website, newsletters, and social media platforms.

Create case studies and social media content that shows the impact of our work, raises the profile of the Refugee Employment Network and showcases network members work in advancing refugee employment in the UK

Collect and analyse data to develop impact reports demonstrating the effectiveness of REN’s work.
