About the role
We are looking for someone with experience in facilities and contract management, and the drive and desire to find solutions and complete projects to a high standard. You’ll need to be highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to multi task. You must be a compelling advocate for the work of the Trust.
This role manages the Trust’s office facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and support a positive working environment for staff and volunteers. The post holder will manage contracts, striving to secure competitive prices, support with IT alongside the Trust's IT service provider, and identify and coordinate improvements to the Trust buildings. This role also manages the Business Support Officer.
The Facilities Manager role is for a 10 month fixed-term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension. We would consider between 30-37.5 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days. Other options may be considered for the right candidate.

The Dalgarno Trust is looking for an outstanding Project Manager who is passionate about health and wellbeing to manage our Community Champions project. You will be an effective and dynamic project manager with the right mix of both hands-on and management skills to recruit, lead and develop a team of local volunteers. Community Champions actively engage our local Dalgarno communities in identifying health needs and improving their health and well-being by delivering campaigns, events, activities, training and signposting to other services.
Community Champions are local people who volunteer their time to connect local communities and residents with local services. The Champions have success because they know and understand the culture and language of local communities and can tune into the communities’ needs and aspirations. The Dalgarno Community Champions project focuses on reaching residents living in the five social housing estates known as the Dalgarno Wedge.
The Champions reach out to the community in different ways from meeting people on the streets, knocking on doors and engaging people through various events and networks. Talking to residents regularly provides a rich insight into identifying challenges and learning what people need to influence commissioners, other professionals, and decision makers. The Champions also support residents in making informed choices about a range of issues linked to their health and wellbeing. Through the programme the Champions are supported in gaining vital skills, training, and experience to progress them in their own professional development.
Job Description:
· Recruit and coordinate Community/Maternity Champions volunteers to promote local health and wellbeing.
· Create engaging opportunities around local and national health campaigns for volunteer outreach in order to engage hard-to-reach communities
· Manage project delivery including community research, events, regular activities and public health campaigns
· Manage the work of the Community Champions Support Worker (working 16 hrs per week) and conduct regular supervision.
· Manage the work of the Community Champions Apprentice (working 30 hrs per week) and conduct regular supervision.

· Liaise with GP surgeries and health and social care providers located in and/or serving the Dalgarno Ward residents to develop a thorough understanding of their services and create referral and access pathways

The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.
Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.
The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.
Key responsibilities
- Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
- Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
- Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
- Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
- Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.
The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. We work within a coordinated partnership response to violence against women and girls as part of the Angelou Partnership. Within the partnership ADVANCE provides independent domestic abuse advocacy and support for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.
The IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process specialising in working with clients at high risk. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Part of the role will to be to establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with services providing services to clients and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership. As a Core IDVA will work across the boroughs mentioned above, under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.
To be successful as the Core IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:
To be successful as a Core IDVA, you’ll need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved in mental health services, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

JOB TITLE:Canine Health and Welfare Assistant
LOCATION: Great Horwood, near Milton Keynes

Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to save lives.
We train specialist dogs to detect the odour of human disease, providing life-saving alert assistance dogs to people with complex health problems across the UK and collaborating with other researchers, NHS Trusts and Universities internationally to advance the early diagnosis of disease.
The Job
You will assist the Health & Welfare Coordinator in their role, providing support to socialisers and fosterers and dealing with queries including those relating to health & welfare and holiday cover, referring the queries to the appropriate member of staff where necessary.
The welfare of our dogs is of paramount importance and you will help ensure that dogs at the MDD Centre are at all times well cared for and that their health & welfare needs are met.
Reports to: Health and Welfare Coordinator
Specific Responsibilities
Health & Welfare needs
· Ensure MDD dogs are fed, watered, toileted and exercised as required while they are at the Centre.
· Weigh and groom MDD dogs as needed when they are at the Centre.
· Ensure all dog first aid kits are fully equipped
· Assist with the weekly health checks of all Bio Detection Dogs and ensure that vaccinations and any preventative medication are always up to date and administered as and when required.
· Ensure all Bio Detection Dogs have the appropriate equipment and are correctly tagged.
· To support when requested, the training of any new staff on Health & Welfare matters.
Bio Detection Dogs Supervision
· Assist with the organisation of the monthly schedule for each Bio Detection Dog.
· To meet the Fosterer’s and handover the Bio detection dogs when they arrive to collect at the end of the day.
· Assist with arrangements for holiday or other temporary cover when a fosterer is going away.
· Arrange day cover in emergency situations.
· Help coordinate the collection and return off dogs from fosterers, liaising with other staff as necessary and as and when required arrange volunteer drivers to collect or return dogs or when
· necessary collect or drop off dogs yourself.
· Organise the rota for dog walkers and keep them updated on any changes.
MDD Site Responsibilities
· Ensure all bedding on the MDD site is washed, clean and changed regularly.
· Ensure that the dog holding areas are regularly cleaned and well maintained, with support from the contract cleaning team.
· Ensure that the grooming room is regularly clean and well maintained.
· Ensure the veterinary room is kept clean and tidy, well equipped with relevant treatment & equipment.
Record Keeping
· Keep accurate records of Bio Detection Dog health, welfare, weight and any medications or treatments given.
· Ensure that all Bio Detection Dogs insurance and microchip details are correctly recorded.
Fosterer Queries
· When requested, act as the first point of contact for all fosterers, including out of normal working hours in emergencies.
Other tasks or ad hoc duties agreed with your line manager required to ensure the successful running of the charity.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Experience of practical dog training.
· Understanding of dog health and welfare and experience of providing basic, considered and appropriate advice and support to dog handlers.
· IT literacy and report writing skills including experience of using Microsoft based programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Power Point
KNOWLEDGE

As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advisor you will be supporting victims of domestic abuse. This is a key role at the hospitals working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support. As an IDVA you will be:

TLC is the 'go-to' organisation for fledgling transplant programmes. We achieve this through direct training, transplant missions and observerships supplemented with mentoring, online teaching, resources and support
We are looking for a Partner Centre Project Manager who will manage all aspects of TLC partner projects. The Partner Centre Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the objectives outlined in the strategy and managing the training/mentoring programs for partner centres.
The TLC Team
Transplant Links is a small, flexible, and highly motivated team comprising a CEO, Director of Medical Activities, and Project Administrator. The Partner Centre Project Manager will report directly to the CEO, and collaborate closely with the Director of Medical Activities, working with over 50 NHS volunteers.
The Role
As we have expanded our global reach we need a Partner Centre Project Manager to develop and implement training programs in our partner centres worldwide. Primary responsibilities include project management of partner centres coordinating their training and resource allocation, and stakeholder communication (healthcare institutions, supporters, HCPs). This involves organising missions, where a team of UK volunteers travels to facilitate living donor kidney transplants in situ. These missions will be led and supervised by the project manager.
The Partner Centre Project Manager also assesses and addresses the evolving needs of partner medical centres, ensuring that the training programs remain pertinent and customised to the specific requirements of partner centres. They will monitor the program’s expenditure within agreed budgets and ensure compliance of the activities and expenditure with TLC policies, whilst also taking the lead on program reporting to supporters. Crucially, they will be responsible for liaising with local program leaders (doctors, nurses and hospital managers), volunteer HCPs from the UK and stakeholders in the field (often Health Ministries and hospital management).
Primary accountabilities include: the completion of missions within a given time frame; abiding by the policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of TLC volunteers and staff; identifying and managing risks within programs and proposing mitigation strategies; moving each partner centre through the phases of development as per the strategy; assessing prospective partner centres; progress reporting and communicating performance; managing budgets and resourcing requirements

Role Requirements - Candidate Specification
We invite applicants with strong leadership qualities and an appetite for solving complex problems to apply to join our team. The inclusive programme aims to make cycling accessible for everyone providing access to employment, training and educational opportunities or key local services. The project builds on the successful pilot already running in Jaywick and Clacton and is part of a wider roll out in Essex. It will distribute 725 bikes in Colchester throughout 2023-2025 and if successful, will be rolled out to further areas within Essex.

About the Role
Essex Pedal Power is a flagship programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people in deprived areas to cycle by removing the main barriers to cycling. This post is part funded by the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) for Essex. You will lead our Essex Pedal Power team in Colchester working collaboratively to maintain an overview of engagement and impact whilst seeking to maximise opportunities for partnership development. Main Duties
1.Manage the operational delivery and development of the Essex Pedal Power programme with a focus on collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery to promote active citizenship and physical activity.

16.Ensure that all health and safety requirements are understood by staff and complied with on a consistent basis; lead and maintain the development of a risk management culture within the team to ensure that innovation and delivery is balanced with citizen safety.
17.Produce oral and written reports on engagement level, activity delivery and the development of new programmes / projects.
18.Support with recruitment of sessional staff, external instructors and volunteers to resource projects and to develop community capacity and sustainable outcomes.
