About the Advocacy team:
You will be working as part of the Advocacy & Government Relations team in the Advocacy & Influence Directorate. The team is made up of 8 members who work across the whole of the UK speaking up for cats. Our campaigns change laws to better protect the health and welfare of cats.
What we’re looking for in our Advocacy and Government Relations Officer for Wales:
- Experience of advocacy, public affairs or influencing work (which may include campaigns), ideally in Wales
- Lives within a commutable distance of Cardiff or willing to relocate to the area
- Experience of policy work and research
- Experience of dealing with high profile/ VIP individuals e.g. Ministers, MSs, MPs, MSPs, MLAs, Government Officials, Local Councillors and officers, corporate executives; professional organisations

Role Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will:
· Support our approach to securing both statutory income (grants and contracts) and voluntary income (trusts, corporates, major donors, individuals), in partnership with the Leadership Team.
· Working with the CEO to support organisational tendering and commercial income generation activities aligned with the strategy, coordinating solution design and written bids.
· Lead on grant identification- conduct research to identify potential grant and foundation funding opportunities
· Lead on grant applications – including the development of compelling grant proposals, you will manage the grant application process, including drafting, editing, and submitting grant proposals within deadlines, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
· Working alongside the Director of Finance, support the preparation of budgets for tenders and fundraising.
· Ensure all our income generation activity is compliant with fundraising governance and legislation, including GDPR, PECR, and the Code of Fundraising Practice, and ensure our systems and processes (including the database and reporting) are compliant and fit for purpose in Business Development.

The Opportunity
The Partnerships Manager will support the team in delivering ambitious membership growth targets for the College. Working closely with the Associate Director: Partnerships, the Partnerships Manager will take responsibility for:
- Developing and delivering presentations to drive Chartered College membership, ensuring that trainee teachers, teachers and school leaders are aware of and join the College, including at conferences and sector events.
- Developing new partnerships to support scalable income generation for group memberships, Chartered programmes, accreditation and projects, and introducing bespoke opportunities for customers and stakeholders.

Membership sales
Most of your time you will be working towards achievement of objectives (including sales and account management and supporting overall membership numbers) and income targets for the full range of products and services including group membership, Chartered programmes, accreditations and projects offered by the College. You will build and maintain a sales pipeline to report to the Associate Director: Partnerships.
Membership engagement
You will spend some of your time managing and implementing workshops, webinars and activities for groups of trainee teachers, teachers and leaders to drive membership engagement, upgrade, renewal and recruitment. This will require regular travel throughout the UK. You will also liaise with training providers, universities and appropriate bodies to support student recruitment and upgrade to ECT membership.
Account Management
You will spend some of your time:
- Maintaining excellent account management and first-rate customer service with both existing and new partners and customers.
- Working closely with Members, Fellows and supporters of the College to build and maintain relationships and expand potential partnership opportunities.

We are seeking a Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the charity's communications strategy.
The Head of Communications and Marketing is a strategically important post in the organisation with lead responsibility for overseeing communications, marketing and PR for the UK’s only national cleft lip and palate support charity. The role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications including media relations, digital content and brand strategy.
The role reports directly to the Chief Executive, is a member of the Senior Management Team and works closely with the CLAPA Board of Trustees to ensure that we maximise all opportunities to promote the work of the charity. The post holder also has responsibility for the direct line management of the Communications and Marketing team.

About You
As Data Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the work of The Wildlife Trusts by maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of data systems, providing key insights and solutions to support decision-making across the organisation and federation, responding to the needs of Wildlife Trusts and the delivery of our 2030 Strategy.
Working collaboratively with various teams, you will develop data management solutions, new use cases, forecast data volumes, and ensure cost-effective service maintenance. You will be integral in enabling us to leverage data for operational and strategic success and in supporting a strong community of practice within the federation of Wildlife Trusts.
As Data Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimising data pipelines, cloud services, and providing data-driven solutions to support business needs. To excel in this role, you should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about people focused data engineering and analysis. You will have experience in a data engineering role, ideally with hands-on experience or the ability to upskill in cloud services like Azure and Databricks, as well as excellent proven proficiency in some of Apache Spark, Fivetran, SQL and/or Python and R, and/or PowerBI and other reporting tools.
You will work closely with and on behalf of teams across the Wildlife Trusts to ensure our data systems are secure, optimised, scalable, and cost-efficient. You should have a solid understanding of data security to ensure compliance with best practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential.

About the role

Overview
