The Role of Website Designer
We are seeking a talented Web Designer to work on two key projects over a 4.5-month contract period:
1. DBF Project: This involves implementing a full website remap, refresh and improvement to the current UX and design. The planning phase is complete, and the design process will be based on the existing platform/provider.
2. TFC Project: This will focus on creating a new website on a new platform, replacing the current site. There will also be a requirement for content management and integration.
This is a short-term post with the opportunity to work on impactful projects for dynamic organizations. If you have a keen eye for design, platform versatility, and experience in website creation and improvement, we’d love to hear from you!
The main responsibilities of the Website Designer are:
- Refresh the Diocesan Board of Finance’s website to improved clarity and user experience.
- Work within the existing website platform and in collaboration with the platform developers, Church Edit, who are funded and supported by a consortium of 20 Diocese.
- Liaise with organisational department leads to ensure content is accurate and up to date.
- Work with the Communications team to improve the current website’s overall functionality and design.
- Redesign Together for Change website and ensure the website content is accurate and up to date to outline the charity’s projects and keys areas of focus.
- Demonstrate through an updated online presence, Together for Change’s key partnerships
- Update Together for Change’s social media presence and ensure to align with updated website content, the DBF’s website and the charity’s ‘Saints Projects’ online presence.
What we are looking for in a Website Designer:
- Experience in website creation and upgrades to improve website functionality and design.
- Experience of engaging with a variety of audiences through social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X.
- Experience of implementing a new site map.
- A creative and proactive mindset, with a key eye for design and an ability to think innovatively across a number of platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to liaise with relevant teams and department heads, platform developers.
- Excellent written and communication skills to engage with a variety of audiences through online platforms and media content.
- Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.

1. JOB PURPOSE
AKF(UK) Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European and Asian government, foundation, and corporate donors to mobilise resources for ten multisector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Partnership Managers are responsible for a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
4.1 Securing resources
- Coordinate, facilitate, and lead the development, review, and quality assurance of expressions of interest, concept notes and full proposals for funding opportunities;
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as with donors, partners, and consortia to facilitate project design, align proposal and donor requirements, gather required legal and administrative documentation, and draft sections of proposals as needed;
- Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way;
- When needed, provide direct hands-on support at field level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners;
- Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).
4.2 Grant management
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of grants through regular interface and coordination with AKF(UK)’s partnerships team, AKF(UK)’s finance team and relevant AKF/AKDN agencies/field units, acting as a central resource for field units in donor best practice;
- Interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to ensure strong, enduring relationships;
- Ensure strong relationship cultivation throughout the grants cycle, anticipate, and plan for future funding and project extensions;
- Oversight, coordination, review, and quality assurance of donor deliverables (e.g. work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, staffing plans, budgets, close-out plans, donor troubleshooting);
- Ensure adherence with donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and that grant deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard;
- Coordinate contractual amendments, changes, and project adaptations, engage with donors in a pro-active and diplomatic way, and flag potential changes (e.g. budget revisions, extensions, risks) in advance to ‘trouble shoot’ and ensure smooth project implementation;
- Facilitate grant monitoring efforts including routine coordination meetings, donor steering committees, donor project visits, and donor monitoring missions;
- Undertake coordination and administrative tasks related to grants and support the maintenance and update of grant management tools and tracking systems such as AIMS.
4.3 Donor engagement and positioning
- Support the partnership unit in researching, sourcing relevant information, and performing analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities;
- Work with country teams, AKDN agencies, and the Global Programmes Team (GPT) to identify, build, and support strategic partnerships on aligned global and regional initiatives, innovations and themes with likeminded donors and partners;
- Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams, to enable effective donor engagement;
- Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities;
- Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests);
- Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids;
- Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
4.4 Influencing development and communicating practical lessons and results
- Support the influencing of the development sector by convening and participating at events (e.g. conferences, roundtables, policy forums) to share lessons, innovations and knowledge about our programmes that position us as ‘thought leaders’;
- Engage communications teams to identify opportunities and support the development of content (e.g. social media campaigns, videos) that promote AKF and AKDN’s work and position us as ‘partners of choice’ in the sector. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Regional Director of Partnerships or Regional Director of Partnerships.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURS, ATTRIBUTES
5.1 Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree essential;
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field preferrable.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in international organisations or donor agencies, including field-level implementation or management, and at least 5 total years of professional experience;
- Experience in resource mobilisation and developing relationships, including direct experience with European (EU, Germany, Norway, Sweden, UK) and Asian donors;
- Experience in developing and writing donor proposals and arguments, business cases, concept papers, briefs, executive summaries, as well as coordinating multiple inputs from a variety of sources, and simultaneously managing a variety of relationships;
- Experience developing budgets and business plans;
- Proven success in managing grants in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders.

Garden Court North Chambers invites applications for the role of Communications Manager. The applicant will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a communications and/ or marketing role ideally within the legal profession or with relevant experience in the NGO, international organisation, development or charity sector.
The applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing communications including website and social media, in-person and hybrid training and promotional events and media engagement. The applicant will be expected to contribute to, maintain and deliver Chambers’ communications strategy.

Job Description
The Communications Manager will work under the direction of the Head of Practice Management (HoPM) within Chambers’ Practice Management Team (PMgT) however the successful applicant will be required to be self-motivating and comfortable operating in the role independently.
Key tasks
· To establish, deliver and maintain a communications strategy for Chambers.
· To manage the promotional activities of Chambers, its Practice Teams, and individual members, by managing and developing:
o Chambers’ website and social media platforms,
o Webinars, podcasts and other digital training methods,
o In-person and hybrid training and promotional events.
· To assist the HoPM by promoting Chambers to professional clients.
· To establish and manage media engagement.
· To manage and promote engagement with legal associations, charities and NGOs.
· To promote Chambers and its members to the legal directories.
· To assist with the development and promotion of campaigns organised or joined by Chambers.
· To undertake internal communication work building a culture of engagement across Chambers.
The above tasks will include:
· Identifying newsworthy cases and issues upon which Chambers may wish to engage, including through liaising closely with members of Chambers and the Practice Management Team (PMgT).

Person Specification
The individual will have:
· A clear understanding of the ethos of Chambers ensuring Chambers’ communications strategy aligns with the same.
· The ability to successfully progress communications as an independent function of the practice management of Chambers.
· Experience of developing, delivering and maintaining an organisational communications strategy.
· The ability to think creatively and demonstrate a very high level of attention to detail.
· A strong technical understanding of website and social media platform management and content production.
· Experience of using of a range of digital communications for promotion and development.
· Experience of planning remote, in-person and hybrid events from inception to delivery including working with outside agencies.
· The ability to draft clear, engaging copy and undertake editing, under pressure.

What the job involves
This is an exciting new role within our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. The Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Manager will be leading strategic content and public affairs within Prostate Cancer UK.
You’ll drive all our major campaigns and the development of the multiyear messaging narrative, all while directing and collaborating with a diverse and talented team of specialists. Your work within strategic communications and campaigns will inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
Working closely with the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand you’ll outline and develop our narrative to our audience and communities, ensuring our campaigns are integrated across the Communications directorate and the wider organisation. You’ll manage the strategic content and public affairs teams as the key point of contact of our external public affairs agency.

You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.
Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.
Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.
You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.
In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed. Experience with online community moderation and staying informed on current web tools and trends will be advantageous as we continuously improve our site.
