We have over 2,000 volunteers that engage with us and refer to these individuals as ‘Contributors’. The Contributor Officer will be our Volunteer Lead and will work alongside the Head of HR on the engagement, management and retention of volunteers across the organisation. As this is a new role, there is huge scope to think innovatively and apply your expertise to ensure our processes and ways of working deliver real value to the members giving up their time to work with us.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and update an appropriate and consistent recruitment and selection process for Contributor positions, ensuring it provides flexibility to cater to the differing level of roles across the organisation.
- Work with the Marketing and Digital team to build and maintain a dedicated Contributor section of the website, designed to engage our key audiences and provide easy access to engaging information and content.
- Monitor application rates for key Contributor positions, developing our approach to ensure that the opportunities reach a wide range of members.
- Actively lead the RCR’s approach to engaging with Contributors.
- Conduct regular business partnering meetings with RCR staff who have management responsibility for key Contributors, advising on how to manage, support and engage the group.
- Actively input into the development of the RCR’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other relevant systems to ensure there is a single point of truth for all Contributor related data and that important information is recorded in an easy to access way.

What the job involves
This is an exciting new role within our Integrated Marketing and Media department, managing a talented Media and PR team, creating impactful moments that inspire action and drive change for men.
You’ll be responsible for developing our media and PR approach, ensuring prioritisation to deliver our Communications strategy and campaign objectives. You’ll contribute to future planning, crisis planning, and measuring impact by tracking and evaluating our PR results.
You’ll work with our paid media agency to maximise our media partnerships, ensuring all our work delivers for men. You’ll work alongside our creative content team to help men affected by prostate cancer share their stories and build strong relationships with our spokespeople and key stakeholders.

Role description:

You will lead on fostering excellent working relationships with potential and existing corporate partners. Main Responsibilities:

The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in the roll-out and development of our new ventures.
The Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across finance and the broader strategic growth of the BBFC. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and as part of the ELT, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead the delivery of all required financial resources and advice to enable the highest quality services to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and engage in strategic discussion and decision-making as member of the Executive Leadership Team and other governance committees
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in the roll-out of the BBFC’s new AI tool and commercial trading subsidiary
- Provide management information and analysis of the BBFC’s actual and forecast financial performance, providing a business partnering service to colleagues; producing concise and meaningful commentary on performance against agreed targets and comprehensive risk analysis
- Manage the BBFC finance team (2 staff), supporting in mentorship, training and skills development
- Build and contribute to external networks and commercial partnerships, building on BBFC’s reputation, and ensure that BBFC learns from and builds on best practice
- Accountability for the organisation’s financial accounts and the other statutory financial information
- Act as the main point of contact for external Auditors, HMRC, Banks, Investment Managers, Suppliers and any other appropriate body to ensure the BBFC’s financial and commercial interests are protected

About You
- You will be an experienced Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer or equivalent.
- You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or qualified by experience with extensive relevant experience in a similar role
- You will have experience in operating at executive leadership level, including working closely with C-Suite level individuals and Board members to oversee financial strategy for an organisation
- You will be proactive in identifying solutions and be able to make decisive values-based decisions

Experience and Skills

The Social Team is made up of a Senior Social Media Manager, two Social Media Managers and a Social Media Assistant. We sit in a wider Brand and Engagement team that includes digital marketing, email and brand.
In this role you will be leading on content, managing the calendar and working with our wider teams on the planning and delivery of Marie Curie campaigns including the Great Daffodil Appeal and the Nobody Should Die in Poverty campaign. You will be responsible for:
Channel management and reputation: you will manage daily content across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social platforms with a combined audience of nearly 800,000 followers.
Social media strategy: you will also be responsible for the development of social media strategy for key campaign activity, e.g. Great Daffodil Appeal, National Day of Reflection, and brand campaigns, as well as ensuring social media is integrated into wider communications and marketing plans.
Content creation: leading on content across our national channels, you will work with colleagues in the PR, Content and Creative teams to plan and develop daily content.
Budget management and paid activity: you will lead on our organic paid strategy, working closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, and liaise with external agency on a weekly basis to review and refine our approach. You are the budget holder for this activity, including decision making to optimise best performing content and to maximise reach and engagement.
Regional strategy: you will lead on our regional social media strategy reflecting our aim to become a place-based organisation, working with key stakeholders across the nations, to ensure our local presence is engaging, vibrant and complements our national activity.

The Directorate
The Communications Team sits within the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) Team.
