About the role
You’ll play a vital role in delivering an ambitious programme of policy and public affairs activity, influencing government, engaging key stakeholders and championing evidence-based policy informed by physiology. Working closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, internal teams, Society members and global experts, your work will span issues such as precision medicine, climate change and health, and research funding. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the broader R&D and policy landscape while supporting a dynamic scientific community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing policy positions and crafting impactful responses to government consultations
- Monitoring political developments and advising internal stakeholders
- Building strong relationships with policymakers, parliamentarians and external partners

About you
You’ll be passionate about policy and science, with a strong understanding of how public affairs can influence change. You’ll also bring:
- A degree in life sciences, public policy, political science, or a related field
- Proven experience developing and advocating for policy positions
- Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas clearly
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the organisation externally
Desirable:

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and oversight of the Carers Manchester Volunteer Programme and support the wider development of the Volunteer Programme at Gaddum. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with Carers Manchester colleagues to ensure volunteers feel equipped and supported to use their skills and lived experience in a range of established volunteer roles.

Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices (“Sundial” previously called Oxford Against Cutting) delivers high quality education and training on harmful practices, such as female genital mutilation (FGM), ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and harmful body alterations. Job Description
The charity would like to increase our digital footprint by 50% and in order to do this we need a highly motivated communications lead to boost our profile. You will create and deliver a marketing, press and social media strategy, to increase both the reach of our work and awareness of harmful practices. You will build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including journalists, influencers and ambassadors to raise our visibility in both English and international languages in UK press, manage all our platforms and create digital content. You will work with the team and trustees to achieve desired outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets, to operational standards. Your work will be co-designed and informed by survivors and communities. You will operate under the principles of Do No Harm.
This role will be home-based and in Oxfordshire and will report to the CEO.
Person Specification
You will ideally be from a community affected by a harmful practice such as FGM/C or ‘honour’-based abuse and forced marriage. This does not necessarily mean you personally have been affected, but you have a deep understanding of the issues from living in your community.
Your knowledge of the topic:
You will need a strong understanding of violence against women and girls (VAWG), policy and legislation, ideally having experience working in the VAWG sector.
High level of organisation:
Most of the time you will be working from your home office so you will need be highly self-motivated and organised to meet deadlines for campaigns around international days (e.g. International Women’s Day) for example. Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a an experienced, dynamic and driven Trusts & Statutory Executive. The role will take a lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, developing and managing a pipeline of funding partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work.
Since 2018, PCR has significantly increased income from Trusts & Foundations and Statutory sources, as well as working in collaboration with other medical research charities and non-profits. This is a newly created and integral role within the Partnership Fundraising team to build on this work and will be key to identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective partners and funders, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective partners.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funding partners (with experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income), understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and manage strong, impactful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Overview of the International Chief Projects Officer
The International Chief Projects Officer (ICPO) will lead and oversee the Projects Department, and reports to the International Chief Executive Officer.
The ICPO will drive the strategic development, implementation and evaluation of Barnabas’ projects around the world. The ICPO will work closely with the International CEO, senior leadership team, and local project partners to identify opportunities, ensure effective and efficient resource allocation, and deliver impactful results that align with Barnabas’ mission to support persecuted and suffering Christians.
The ICPO will ensure that Barnabas’ projects are strategically aligned with the organisation’s goals, operationally effective, and financially sustainable, while maintaining the highest standards of accountability and impact measurement.

Heritage of London Trust (HOLT) restores the buildings and monuments that tell the story of the city and the people who live within it. Founded over 40 years ago, our mission is to rescue characterful and neglected historic sites all across the city. We focus on sites at risk in areas of least investment - in local communities that most need our help - ensuring a sustainable future for every project we work on. To date, we have restored 850 sites across London.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive project manager with a passion for London’s built heritage. The Head of Projects will oversee the delivery of our restoration projects across the capital, ensuring they meet our high standards and achieve maximum public benefit.
The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of restoration projects, from initial research and site identification to overseeing conservation work and successful project completion. Importantly, you will work closely with local authorities, conservation experts and community organisations to influence and build local commitment to conservation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee heritage restoration projects from inception to completion.
- Identify at-risk historic sites and develop a pipeline of new projects.
- Manage budgets and project timelines, ensuring successful and efficient delivery.
- Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to support project success.
- Select and collaborate with contractors, conservators, and heritage specialists.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and adherence to project specifications.
- Report on project outcomes and key learnings to the Director and Board of Trustees.

This role should plan to be working in our office 3 days per week, with site visits out across London throughout the week.
