Summary of Role
We are looking for someone to join Choose Love who has demonstrable experience in designing, setting up and maintaining a user-friendly and efficient supporter database and who has a deep commitment to positively impacting the lives of displaced people around the world. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical skills and be passionate about understanding trends and patterns from our donations, which can help us increase our fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection, Management and Analysis:

Maintain and oversee all Choose Love data, ensuring all data is accurate, up-to-date and clean.

Work with the digital strategist and head of communications to scope and assess the most effective and efficient ways for Choose Love to collect, process, analyse, and report on data, feeding it into the mid and long-term strategy.

Work closely with external suppliers, leading on data management and systems.

Support finance team and digital strategist in tracking donations to key fundraising appeals, including emergency fundraisers and winter fundraising campaigns.

Manage data flows across our different platforms and support the implementation of automation processes where appropriate.

Work closely with departments across the organisations, specifically Comms & Marketing, Partnerships and Programmes and respond to internal requests for fundraising data analysis and reporting.

Create monthly reports on fundraising performance across comms activities to share with the team and embed best practices in future fundraising content.
Fundraising and Donor Optimisation:

Work with digital strategists to optimise fundraising communications and reporting.

Integrate data analysis into digital fundraising strategy.

Analyse the performance of fundraising campaigns and recommend improvements.

Segment audiences for fundraising campaigns based on various criteria (e.g., donation history, demographics) through managing datasets.

Essential Criteria:

Extensive experience with different database systems and knowledge of data maintenance

Duties and key responsibilities
Support and Information
- To deliver the Sarcoma UK Support Line, a confidential telephone and email support and information service for anyone affected by sarcoma. This includes:
- Providing individual information and support to service users on sarcoma and related issues, by telephone, email and other media as the service develops.
- Adhering to quality standards, confidentiality, Sarcoma UK policies and the standard operating procedures of the Support Line.
- Under direction from the Director of Research, Policy and Support and Support Line Manager, contribute to Sarcoma UK’s social and other media as appropriate.
- To provide clinical input to the development of the charity’s information materials including the revision of existing information materials and the development of new information products.
- To provide input to the clinical content of the charity’s website.
- To raise awareness of the charity’s information and support services within the health professional field.

Art Fund is the UK’s national fundraising charity for art. The role
This is an important post in the finance team and, as the Part qualified Management Accountant you will be responsible for a number of important processes supporting month end, reforecasts and the annual budget. You will also work with the head of finance on specific projects and support budget holders across the charity on financial questions and analysis.
To give an idea of focus, the core areas of delivery will include:
- Reconciliations and month end processes to support closing the books
- Support on reforecasts and the annual budget

The primary role of the Finance Manager is to oversee and manage the finances of Energy Projects Plus including providing high quality management information and support to the Chief Executive and Trustees to ensure the strong financial performance of the charity.
You will also be responsible for the accurate production of monthly salary calculations, including HMRC payments, quarterly VAT calculations and returns to HMRC, production of annual accounts, and ensuring a fully compliant annual audit.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Ensuring the effective running of the day-to-day financial operations in line with the charity’s financial policies and procedures and be the main point of contact for all enquiries regarding finance matters.
2. Income: ensuring timely, accurate recording and classification of all income on the charity’s QuickBooks system (including designated restricted funds); issuing sales invoices, including those for vatable sales; recording remittances, electronic banking transactions; carrying out the credit control function reporting potential bad debts to the Chief Executive.
3. Expenditure: ensuring appropriate authorisation is obtained for all expenditure; counterchecking all expenses claims for compliance with charity policy; ensuring accurate recording of expenditure on QuickBooks including correct cost code allocation; ensuring appropriate records of invoices and claims are filed appropriately.
4. Payroll: Liaising with the payroll service provider on a monthly basis to prepare input to salary calculations (new starters, leavers, adjustments etc) and countercheck payroll details from provider, arrange approval of figures, ensure pension and HMRC payments are made in compliance with requirements.
5. VAT return: calculating (including manual adjustments for irrecoverable VAT) and submitting quarterly VAT records, ensuring payment is made in compliance with requirements.
6. Management accounts: preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, highlighting variances to budgets, liaising with Chief Executive in presenting to Trustees, and providing other financial information requested to inform strong financial management.
7. Annual accounts: preparing year-end accounts, processing year-end adjustments on QuickBooks, producing all supporting documentation required for annual external audit. Ensuring audited accounts are submitted to Charity Commission and Companies House before required deadlines.
8. Working with the Chief Executive to prepare the Trustees’ Annual Report in good time for approval by Trustees prior to inclusion in Annual Report and Financial Statement.
9. Maintaining and updating periodically the charity’s financial procedures policy.

About The Role
Working closely with our Chief Executive Officer, the Operations and Systems Manager would take a birds-eye view of our organisation to help us build a consistent, collaborative and centralised approach to how we work. You would hold responsibility for developing and embedding operational strategies, processes, policies, and systems that meet our needs and help to support staff wellbeing. This role includes a key focus on improving how we can better use and manage our digital infrastructure to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and to improve our ability to engage and retain external audiences, enabling us to build our impact on a national scale. Key areas of responsibility are as follows:
Day-to-day operational management of the Charity, including:
- Resolving daily operational and administrative issues efficiently and effectively.
- Taking initiative to enhance or develop, implement and embed effective systems and working practices, drawing from personal knowledge and experience and external examples of best practice.
- Developing and refining our approach to hybrid working, ensuring systems and processes enable connection and creativity across the organisation. About the role

Summary of the role:
The Community Fundraising Volunteers Coordinator is to drive and enhance fundraising efforts for Muslim Aid by planning, coordinating, and executing innovative fundraising events and campaigns across regional and national levels. This position involves deep engagement with the Muslim community and various stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and achieve financial targets.
The post holder will ensure that all activities adhere to regulatory standards and organisational promises, effectively represent the organisational in public forums and live appeals, and manage productive relationships with external partners to optimise outcomes. - Collaborate with the Fundraising team to optimise income through various community and innovative events, meeting agreed financial targets.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Muslim community and its key stakeholders.
- Plan and manage fundraising and promotional events across the region, adapting successful strategies for national implementation. This includes participation in events at schools, businesses, mosques, and with community groups and the general public.
- Coordinate volunteer involvement nationally, such as fundraising, administration and awareness raising.

Ambitious about Autism is looking for an experienced and qualified Financial Controller to join the team. Candidates who trained at a top 15 private accountancy firm or equivalent public body, with charity sector experience, are especially encouraged to apply.
The Financial Controller at Ambitious about Autism (AaA) and Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust (AaAST) plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the organisations' financial data. They are responsible for adhering to the Charities SORP and the Academies Financial Handbook for AaAST.
The primary responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
- Financial Data Management: Ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded, maintained, and reported in accordance with relevant accounting standards and guidelines.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with statutory and legal obligations related to financial matters. This includes managing tax affairs, including VAT, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Control Environment: Establishing and maintaining a robust control environment to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This involves implementing internal controls, conducting regular audits, and addressing any control weaknesses or risks.
- External Scrutiny: Preparing financial reports and statements for external scrutiny, such as audits, regulatory inspections, or funder assessments. The Financial Controller ensures that all financial records and processes can withstand external scrutiny and meet the required standards.
- Finance System Development: Taking responsibility for the development and effective operation of the finance system, IRIS Financials. This includes optimising system functionality, ensuring data accuracy, providing user support and training, and exploring opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Team management: lead the financial accounting team and ensuring an excellent service is delivered.
