Senior Practitioners deliver our services to young people alongside providing supervision and management and playing a vital role in keeping our management and practice connected for the success of our clinical best practice.

We are considering applications for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Online Support Team. Our online team provide 1-2-1 counselling and psychosocial support via text-based sessions using our web-based platform “Breathe”. This is a growing area within 42 Street as we meet the needs of young people who prefer to access sessions with the perceived anonymity this method of support delivery provides.

Due to the expansion of our online offer, adding a Senior Practitioner to the team is a vital step in maintaining and developing the extremely high standards we are achieving.

Are you our new Global Selection Programme Intern? 

We are looking for an intern to join the Global Selection Programme (GSP) team on a fixed term three month contract. As the Global Selection Programme Intern, you will be line managed by the GSP Coordinator to help you integrate and collaborate with the Programmes Team and with other key stakeholders. The post holder will play an important role in driving improvements to one of UWC’s key application programmes as it prepares for the 2025/26 academic year. 

You will bring your communication and relationship building skills to the fore to help us build and strengthen our relationship with volunteers and stakeholders from across the movement. You will work as part of a well-established Programmes Team and develop skills and experience in the student admissions process, customer service and stakeholder management.

About UWC International 

The UWC International Office serves as the operational arm of UWC International, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity, and stands as a pivotal entity within the UWC movement. Positioned in central London and Berlin, it collaborates extensively with stakeholders across the UWC spectrum, actively engages a robust alumni community comprising more than 60,000 members, and fulfils essential functions for UWC International's governance bodies. Our primary duties encompass global fundraising initiatives, comprehensive communications strategies, promotional endeavours, support for the network of over 150 UWC national committees, global strategy development and implementation, and support services to the UWC schools.

The UWCIO Programmes team works with UWC schools and colleges and with national committees to enable as many deserving young people as possible to experience a UWC education, collaborating closely with them to build their capacity where necessary and implement new processes, policies and programmes where possible. 

The Global Selection Programme is available to young people aged 15 to 18 from around the world, so long as they do not require any financial support to attend UWC. It is an annual programme that usually accepts applications from September to May for admission in the following academic year. Fifteen of UWC’s eighteen schools and colleges currently participate in the programme.

Richmond Carers Centre, a network partner of the Carers Trust, is a registered charity providing information, support, advice and a voice for carers living and caring in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Helping Carers to Live Well is our organisational aim. We provide a targeted service to young carers, aged 5 – 18 years. Young carers, provide vital emotional and practical support to a family member with a care need including sibling young carers. In this exciting role you will be responsible for implementing the charity’s Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising programmes (target of £1.3m in 2024). You will manage a team of up to two with the support from the Head of Fundraising, with whom you will work closely with to develop a series of targeted multi-channelled appeals and campaigns to engage with existing supporters and to attract, recruit and retain new ones.

You will be confident in handling and interrogating data, utilising your experience to deliver insight led creative campaigns across several channels. You will use data to test and learn through the delivery of persuasive and compelling appeals and campaigns - aiming to grow supporter loyalty and inspire repeat donations.

The delivery of exceptional supporter care and stewardship is paramount in this role, the post holder will require excellent communication skills to help deepen engagement strategies with supporters and work with an ambitious, positive, and creative approach - with experience in working collaboratively organisation wide.

Key responsibilities
Planning and implementation
• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the supporter donor journey.
• Develop new individual giving appeals and campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels to engage with new and existing supporters to generate new income.
• Working with the communications team to design a multi-channelled approach to maximise the reach to the appropriate audiences.
• Develop the required tools and mechanisms to ensure ease of engagement.
• Design and implement a stewardship programme that cultivates long term support across all fundraising streams.

Donor data analysis and segmentation
Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM to:
• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.
• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.
• Manage a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Stewardship and donor engagement
Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:
• Managing the production of supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.

Competencies: knowledge, skills and experience

• Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention.
• Experience of project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK.

The College of Policing is the professional body for the police service in England and Wales who work to share knowledge and good practice, set standards, and support professional development for police officers and staff.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, these roles will provide professional finance business partnering support and advice to Cost Centre Managers, including preparing and evaluating accurate and timely annual and monthly budgets, forecasts and trend analysis, to enable effective and appropriate financial planning across the College.

The key duties of these Finance Business Partners will be:

• Act as lead business contact for providing a professional finance business partnering service to designated Cost Centre Managers.
• Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to improve their knowledge of financial management and forecasting, whilst providing appropriate robust challenge when required.
• Complete monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts for your Cost Centres providing sufficient analysis and narrative to inform business and operational decisions.
• Analyse monthly performance to budget and KPIs, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends to support, challenge and provide options in the cost-efficient management of resources. 
• Reconcile budgets, accruals, prepayments and other financial records for year-end.
• Engage with Cost Centre Managers on organisational or business-related proposals, provide helpful and meaningful financial advice to support business case submissions.
• Drive effective strategic and operational decision making for budget managers.
• Support the design, development and continuous improvement of finance processes and quality and system improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
• Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
• Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.

Based at Disability Solutions HQ (North Staffordshire Medical Institute in Hartshill), the successful candidate will have proven successful experience of working in the welfare benefits advice sector and will have an excellent working knowledge and experience of the welfare benefits system. The successful candidate will have a full driving licence and daily use of a car.

Role responsibilities: 

· You will be supporting people with disabilities and their families to claim disability-related welfare benefits.

· Help to challenge unfavourable benefit decisions in preparation for appeals.

· Through your work, identify wider services and signpost / refer people with disabilities to teams and services that can support them.
