About this role
The Programmes Team is responsible for delivering demand-led services globally; providing tailored capacity building support to organisations and their partners through individual or framework contracts. As Programme Officer, you will work closely with Hub members to ensure events, trainings, services, projects and programmes are delivered to an exceptionally high standard, on time and budget.
This role also includes support to the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning aspects of RedR UKs role, particularly in regards to climate change and engineering in emergencies.
The primary purpose of the role is to enable the delivery of RedR UK’s Ukraine Humanitarian Criss response programme in Ukraine and neighbouring countries (hereafter referred to as ‘the Programme’).
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Delivery of events, courses, services, projects, and programmes

Assistance in the delivery of the Hubs’ events, courses, services, projects, and programmes.

In cooperation with line manager and colleagues, plan and identify tasks, prioritise, and allocate them as needed.

Support the project coordinator in activities, tasks, milestone, or deliverable tracking.

Lead on agreed elements of events, courses, projects, or deliverables, including external and internal representations as required.

Ensure wide communication of events, preparing marketing information and advertising where required.
-
Proof-read training material as required, and ensure RedR UK brand guidelines are consistently applied.

Organise availability of equipment, refreshments, resources, travel, accommodation, props, vehicle and venue as required. Prepare welcome packs, name badges, signature lists, certificates and other resources as required and ensure these are in place for the relevant time of the event

Respond to trainer and participant requests during the event, as required

Support the delivery of online events and, if necessary, travel to events and provide direct support to trainers and participants at events.

Support the recruitment of external project staff, consultants and Associate Trainers, resource persons and actors including the production of Terms of Reference and ensuring the implementation of fair and transparent recruitment.

Be a point of contact for external project staff, consultants, Associate Trainers and participants where required, responding to queries and providing information and support

Coordinate scheduling, liaison with trainers and interpreters to enable delivery of the Programme.

Be the first point of contact for participant enquiries (particularly where in Ukrainian language).

Translate text and training promotional materials into Ukrainian, as required.
Duty of Care and Procedures

Assist in researching the security situation, contributing information to risk assessments and travel plans.

Ensure compliance with general duty of care and RedR UK security and other relevant procedures.

Prepare contracts and ensure these are signed and stored appropriately.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning

Support the review of training materials for the L&D department, ensuring they are branded and formatted to RedR UK standards

Support the collection and analysis of M&E data across the programme teams

Ensure all monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data is collected and tracked for events, including:
-
Collating and recording course statistics and evaluation data;
-
Maintaining accurate Salesforce records for all RedR projects and learning events in the region and as requested by Line Manager;

Assisting with the collection and recording of impact assessment data

Support milestone tracking and reporting,

Assistance in drafting project or training reports.

Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting.

Support the programme coordinator in the tracking and analysis of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data.
Facilities, Procurement and Materials
-
Build and maintain excellent relationships with relevant suppliers including but not limited to external training venues, transport and material suppliers required to delivery services.

Prepare, order, and arrange shipping of learning materials for courses and other materials as required.

Prepare and format any online materials as required.

Procure any course materials, equipment, refreshments, resources, travel, accommodation, and venue hire where applicable.

Co-host live online sessions, providing support to the facilitator as well as to the course participants.
Admin and Finance

Maintain accurate finance records and monitor and record budgets and expenditure to provide timely analysis of this to inform decision-making.

Assist with audits, financial reporting and cash flow analysis.

Programme or training related administrative tasks including but not limited to filing; travel arrangements; logistics; procurement of materials required by the project or training; preparation of draft contracts or correspondence as requested by the line manager following agreed templates; assistance in competing required forms or compliance with RedR UK or project procedures; liaison with project staff, partners and stakeholders on administrative matters; etc.

Undertake timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenses in line with established processes and RedR UK’s Operational Manual. Support the programme coordinator on the monitoring of expenditure and budgets.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential

Language skills – Fluent English and Proficiency in Ukrainian is required for this role.

Administrative skills – Systematic and efficient administrative skills, including an ability to prioritise, manage and complete a variety of tasks against multiple deadlines and track information and progress.

Event management – Experience of supporting a learning programme, organising learning events and working with consultants.

Our highly committed Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the North East England & Yorkshire Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There will be occasional travel around these areas and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
The post is part time, three days per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
About the team
The team works remotely and prides itself in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in these regions, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR, along with experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families, along with supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North East & Yorkshire would be valuable.

The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim. They will also raise awareness of male domestic abuse with partners and within the community.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do:
Look Ahead IDVAs have the personal qualities required to manage customer expectations alongside the responsibilities of their role. Day to day IDVA activities include:
Manage client referrals, completing Dash Risk Assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and creating a positive atmosphere
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols
Regular attendance at Marac and completion of all Marac referrals
Support Customers to obtain Non Molestation Orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with or as a representative for clients.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
Creating a safety plan with clients
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
Encouraging customers to attend relevant programmes when appropriate i.e Own My Life
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc

Main responsibilities
- Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:

About this role
The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and business development Team at RedR. This role will fill two very important functions:
Business Partner to Central Services - Supporting the head office functions to manage their budgets
FP&A - support the Senior Manager for FP&A to run the budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.

What you'll do:
Work with Central Services (head office) colleagues to review their management accounts on a regular basis ensuring that risks are understood and actions are identified to mitigate these.
Support Central Services colleagues to get help from other relevant finance team members, this could include advocating with finance on behalf of Operations or supporting Operations to understand finance policies, concepts and processes.
Lead on budgeting and forecasting for Central Services.
Support the Senior FP&A Manager to lead the Group budgeting, forecasting and 30 year business planning processes.
Deputise for Senior FP&A Manager when required. This may include working with CFO on budgeting analysis or longer term modelling.
Lead on maintaining all budgeting and forecasting templates and reports. Identifying areas of improvement and ensuring that the templates are kept relevant as the organisation develops
Support with financial evaluation of new business opportunities and their impact on Look Ahead's long term financial viability.

About you:
Previous experience of planning and budgeting and delivery of key reports in a large organisation.
Be capable of managing (sideways and upwards) senior individuals across multiple disciplines and have extensive, demonstrable people management experience and a clear understanding of the people implications and people agenda on the success of the business.
Financial expertise to understand requirements, produce reports, provide financial analysis and to identify underperformance and risks.
Confident, ability to lead, and communicate with others to influence business decisions and financial performance.
Meticulous, accurate and attention to detail
Experience in business modelling and financial forecasting.
Advance skills in using Excel and to learn specific planning systems such as Bricks

The Senior Finance BP will provide Strategic and Operational finance support to the Operational Director and Heads of Service. The Director is responsible for leading a large patch of care and support contracts delivering services to customers across our client groups - homelessness, mental health, young people and learning disabilities.
This role will be the key finance contact for the directorate. They will support and challenge Operational colleagues to understand their financial performance and come up with action plans to address risks/opportunities. They will work as a bridge to the rest of finance, sign posting Operational colleagues to get help and translating finance polies and principles into easy to understand language where necessary.

The post-holder will be required to:
Work closely with the Director ensuring that they understand the financial performance of the Directorate. Carry out ad hoc analysis to support them with operational/strategic decision making.
Monitor the financial performance of the Directorate against budget and forecast Investigate reasons for variances and trends and advise Directors of any significant risks/opportunities and the reasons for them.
Support Operational colleagues to ensure that all invoice request forms are submitted on a timely manner
Present Directorate financial performance to Operational Colleagues as requested.
Lead monthly finance review meetings with Operational teams ensuring that they are able to clearly explain the issues in their contract/patch and supporting them to identify actions.
Support the Director to prepare for the monthly CFO performance meeting ensuring that the most significant issues are brought to the attention of the Senior Leadership Team.
Work closely with Business Development and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain sustainable pricing models for care and support contracts for use in business development and tender responses.
Lead on budgeting and forecasting for the Directorate ensuring all key changes are reflected and that risks and opportunities are fully understood and communicated to the Senior Manager for FP&A
Responsible for signing off the price for any uplifts/extensions/re-models in the patch. The Business Partner - Pricing will support with this work.

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to drive forward the HR Strategy, manage the People Team, and support a growing Network of Youth Zones.
This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.
Position: Head of People
Location: Hybrid working. Blend of home-based and office (you must live within regular commutable distance of Bolton or White City, London)

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of People, a key focus of this role will be to provide hands-on management to an experienced People consisting of a People Support Manager and Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
However, it is much wider than team management; it is about relationships. Relationships with internal colleagues, relationships with Network contacts, and relationships with third party suppliers. The role is seen as a crucial support function for the youth zones, and it is imperative that you are able to build rapport quickly and be an approachable and knowledgeable source of expertise and support for colleagues.
Some of your key duties include:
- Providing professional management, support and development to the People team
- Supporting the delivery and implementation of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
- Coaching, supporting and advising on complex ER matters; upskilling managers with regular training and support
- Supporting senior level recruitment across the charity’s Network
- Supporting the continued launch of PeopleHR
About You
You must have proven HR Leadership experience and have managed varied HR Teams. If this experience has been gained from organisations that service young people – even better!
Other experience and skills you will need include:
