About the Roles:

• Development Awards: You will provide one-to-one support to young people aged 16-30, offering cash grants to enhance employability and life skills. You will help remove financial barriers to education, training, or employment​.

• Outreach: You will lead outreach efforts, attending events and building relationships with referral partners to promote The Trust’s programmes. Your goal will be to recruit and engage young people, creating opportunities for growth.

• Employability: You will deliver employability sessions and provide one-to-one support to young people, building their skills and confidence to enter employment. You will also collaborate with partners to enhance young people's progression​.

At Thrive, our Practitioners work with plants and people to improve an individual’s physical and psychological health, social interaction. skills and confidence.

We’re looking for a new STH Practitioner to provide high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes for adults in our gardens in Battersea Park and outreach settings. Working alongside volunteers this role will support people with learning disabilities, autism, long term health conditions or other disabilities.

Based at Thrive London in Battersea Park. The role will involve some work undertaken off-site in London and occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. We have just finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.

Job Context

It is an exciting time to be coming into Lepra as we currently celebrate our organisation’s Centenary year this year. In 2023 we underwent a strategic review and developed our new 6-year global strategy to re-establish our work into the future. We are using our Centenary year in 2024 as a springboard to launch our new strategic period. Our new strategy will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from disability and discrimination.

Our Finance and Operations team plays a critical role in supporting the wider Lepra UK team with our finance and HR function delivering and supporting on all finance management processes and HR related support at all levels.  The Finance and Operations team has experienced staffing changes this year and with some staff looking to work part-time, an assistant position has become available to support both the Finance & Administration Lead and the HR and Executive Support Assistant Manager as well as the need for support with our office move.

Mental Health Support Worker (Recovery Navigator)

• Deliver sessions with support from team and volunteers. 

• Conduct 1-2-1’s with individuals to identify areas of support needed for their recovery.

About You: 

• Experience of working in the mental health sector, or other sectors that have a transferrable skillsets such as; charities, care, probation, prison, social services, SEND, residential, youth work etc.

• Interest in working 1-2-1 with people with mental health difficulties as well as delivering workshops for wellbeing and social support (full training will be provided). 

• Understanding of Safeguarding procedures & GDPR regulations. 

• Confident when working with different groups of people.

• Calm and considered approach to managing challenging situations as well as the ability to regulate your emotional response. 

• Experience / understanding of working within diverse & multi-faith communities. 

• The majority of hours will be within 9-5, Monday to Friday. However, every 3weeks you will be available to work one weekday evening till 7pm, and one Saturday session till 5pm.

Salary & Benefits: 

Salary for this role is £23,400. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work  in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. About the Role:

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer holds a central role in ensuring the quality, impact, and accountability of WAG’s projects through the implementation of comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems. This role is designed to support fostering projects MEAL systems, ensuring learning and quality improvement in projects implementation. By leading the implementation of robust projects MEAL activities, the officer ensures that project insights and data are effectively harnessed for continuous improvement, aligning with performance indicators. This position supports the Programme Performance and Effectiveness Manager in capacity-building for program teams, ensuring that MEAL is leveraged for knowledge management and innovation. This position exists to support the creation of a culture of accountability and learning, where project delivery and effectiveness is continually improved through best MEAL practices, contributing directly to the overarching goals of the national program and WaterAid's mission.

In this role, you will Lead in planning and implementation of MEAL systems for projects, ensuring alignment with WaterAid's PMER Core Procedures, M&E System, M&E policy and guidelines as well as Hold regular project reflection meetings and data quality assessments and ensure effective use of monitoring data for adaptive management.

You’ll also:

• Enhance community involvement in MEAL processes, ensuring that projects meet donor and organizational MEL standards.
• Support the planning and implementation of CP Annual M&E Plan and Learning Agendas and Annual Review Meetings

About You:

To be successful, you’ll need to be Degree in Development Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Research, Quantitative Analysis.

• Demonstrated capacity in implementing MEAL, including the working of consultants.
• Proven effectiveness in facilitating training and building the capacity of partners and community members.
• Fully committed to WaterAid’s vision, mission and values and a way of working that demonstrates this, with the ability to communicate this enthusiasm to others.
