Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT) is a youth development outdoor learning charity which has been improving the skills and life chances of disadvantaged young people since 1956.
We envision a world where all young people strive to create better outcomes for themselves and for their communities. To do this, out on the ocean we empower young people to realise their true potential, supporting them on their journey to adulthood and for some, into volunteering and careers in the maritime sector and the blue economy.
Utilising our fleet of four 72ft Challenger yachts and a 55ft ketch, we were able to support more than 1,200 young people last year. 80% were from disadvantaged backgrounds; 40% were female; and 25% identified as belonging to the global majority. Our aim is to significantly increase the numbers we support over the next few years.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Trusts & Grants fundraiser to join our small, hardworking team.
The role holder will contribute towards achieving our ambitious yearly income target by helping to maintain our well-established Trusts & Grants portfolio, as well as identifying new funding opportunities as we seek to grow and diversify this income stream.
Responsibilities will include developing and submitting winning funding proposals, reporting on funds spent, and excellent stewardship. The role will form part of the Fundraising, Digital and Marketing team, and will sit alongside our current Trusts & Grants fundraiser, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Marketing.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in successful Trusts & Grants income generation, including report writing and demonstrating the impact of funding. They will need excellent written skills, communication skills and good attention to detail.
Our intention is for this role to be covered for three days a week, but the successful candidate will have the opportunity to negotiate their preferred working pattern.

In the role as a Digital Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital communications and presence. You will lead and manage digital projects, aligning them with Church Army’s mission and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the Digital Project Manager and Social Media Officer, to enable effective delivery of digital projects and social media management.
- Manage Relationships with outsourced agencies including digital analysts, paid media and web developer roles to ensure cohesive digital strategies and execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies that grow new Church Army audiences.
- Collaborating with other teams and individuals in Church Army to integrate agile methodologies, ensure alignment of digital initiatives and using informed data to grow brand awareness and affinity.
- Being a pioneer for AI and oversee Church Army’s strategy and implementation of AI.
- Being a primary source of contact for outsourced digital agencies, ensuring clear communication and alignment with Church Army’s objectives.
- Oversee major digital projects such as website refreshes, working with internal and external agencies.

The successful candidate will have:
- Profound understanding of digital marketing strategies and digital content management.
- Familiarity with SEO, social media, content development, and email marketing.
- Knowledge of data analytics and its application to digital marketing effectiveness.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team. About you:

To be successful, it is essential that you have experience as a qualified accountant. Ideally you will have experience with business improvement projects and will have worked within a similar organisation or charity, however neither are essential. You will have experience working in a high volume transaction environment and be an excellent communicator both verbally and writing. Experience supervising and developing junior team members is also desirable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Recovery Worker to join our women's only refuge in Hove. The service supports 18 women with a trauma informed approach using a psychologically informed environment model to provide high quality, person centred support to all our residents.
You will support with a range of frontline care and support activities within the service, in a varied role. You will work towards supporting residents/participants to achieve their desired goals/outcomes, and will ensure all residents/participants understand and have the right tools and resources for positive outcomes. You will also develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running of activities, projects and events. There will be a focus on risk assessments and management, as well as housing and property management.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rota. This may include shifts between Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:00, 08:00 - 16:00 and 14:30 - 22:00. You will be based on site.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Head of Support and Care (Registered Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm
NB Service Coordinators are required to balance management administration with being present in the group's houses. This necessitates some occasional evening and weekend work to be agreed with their line manager.
Salary: £35,000 per annum (with an increment in the second year)
Place of work: L’Arche London community houses and office (all within a walking distance, based in West Norwood, London)
Main purpose of the role:
- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants.
- To lead the service delivery within this group in line with L'Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
- To play an active role in the leadership of L'Arche London, helping shape a vibrant community of people with and without learning disabilities.
Leadership and People Management:
- Supervise and work with the Deputy Service Coordinator to lead a team of 15 Support Assistants. Ensure each assistant in the group is regularly supervised, trained, and appraised, and that action is taken to effectively manage performance issues.
- Understand the requirements of the CQC and other relevant legislation and ensure that all applicable standards are met including adult safeguarding.
- As part of the Community Coordinating Team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, promoting the wider L'Arche mission, vision and values.
- Be on the On-Call rota every 6 - 8 weeks, with flexibility as service requires. (Additional pay provided.)
- Contribute to the recruitment/ interviewing of Assistants.
- Provision of Support to People with Learning Disabilities
- Ensure the provision of high quality personalised support for each person with a learning disability in the Oak group, implementing Person Centred Support Plans to maximise independence, personal choice, and autonomy.
- Enable each person with learning disabilities to feel at home, encouraging both individuality and belonging, ensuring that everyone is informed of their rights and responsibilities as a member of the Community group and as a tenant.
- Support each person to manage various aspects of their life, from their personal budgets to their health and well-being.
- On occasion, provide one-to-one support to people with learning disabilities at home or in the community.
Administration and Management
- Maintain high standards of communication and record keeping, ensuring an effective flow of information within the Group, with the rest of L'Arche London, the local community, family and professionals.
- Work closely with the Deputy Service Coordinator to oversee the work rota.
Creating Community
- Attend and organise Community events and celebrations relevant to the role and foster a sense of welcome for all visitors and friends; ensure a regular rhythm of prayer and reflection in accordance with the traditions of L’Arche.
General
- Attend training and personal development courses as required.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post which may be required from time to time.
What We Offer
This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual for a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office with weekly travel expected to the Wiltshire & Swindon region. As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.
