Overview

This role bridges the Strategic Partnerships team in Fundraising and the Federation Strategy group, supporting YMCA England & Wales in securing and delivering impactful projects for young people and communities. You'll work on national programmes, helping build project infrastructure, monitor progress, and support local YMCAs.

We are looking for someone who would like to use their events or hospitality experience to help ensure our clients receive the best possible experience. You will have great organisational and communications skills with excellent attention to detail.

This role will be varied, typically your day may involve, assisting with technology setup, greeting clients and providing housekeeping, providing reactive assistance (printing, temperature control, furniture adjustments etc.) & collecting feedback. You will supervise our Events Assistants and Welcome Hosts under the direction of the Events and Venue Manager.

WECare is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the strategic direction of our digital marketing efforts. In this role, you will drive engagement, increase visibility, and support our mission by analyzing trends and crafting campaigns that align with our goals. You will oversee day-to-day digital marketing activities, contribute to major campaigns, and enhance our digital presence to meet and exceed targets, playing a key part in shaping WECare’s future marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Development

• Lead the overall strategic direction for WECare’s digital marketing, focusing on long-term growth and engagement.

• Act as a strategic guide for content creation, focusing on maintaining consistency and supporting overall digital strategies.
• Ensure content supports broader marketing and fundraising goals while delegating day-to-day content creation to team members and creative professionals.
• Lead the planning and management of major digital marketing campaigns, working closely with relevant teams to ensure success.

4. Partnership & Community Engagement

• Identify and cultivate relationships with sponsors, partners, and local communities to strengthen WECare's support network.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the Senior Operations Manager and the Bid Manager to help develop and implement monitoring and reporting processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities.

We are looking for a fixed term Impact and Evaluation Manager to help us to develop an initial impact and evaluation framework for the organisation. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, the aim is to be able to understand, evaluate and learn from our impacts and to track our organisational performance through appropriate data and metrics. It will build on an existing set of metrics that have been developed and provide the foundation for a longer term impact evaluation approach.

Role purpose: 

Lead the development of an initial impact and evaluation framework that will help us to track our progress, demonstrate achievements and ensure accountability.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Consult and work closely with staff and relevant external stakeholders to review current impact performance tracking across all organisation objectives and identify gaps in or improvements required.

• Lead the development and design of an initial impact and evaluation framework and data collection system for Rewilding Britain, including clearly defined and measurable outcomes linked to our Strategic Plan and Theory of Change. 

• Lead on the collation, analysis and communication of monitoring and evaluation data across the organisation and highlight any key trends. 

• Design a dashboard and reporting mechanisms for presenting the data in a way that is easy to use and understand.

• Contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes, data and our technology to enable the charity to collect and analyse impact and monitoring data on an ongoing basis.

• Champion good data practise for all internal databases to ensure data quality and centralisation of data. 

• Support the Fundraising Team in their work to identify, cultivate and inform existing and prospective donors and funding partners with relevant evidence and insights

• Support and collaborate with the wider team on evaluation and monitoring to instil a culture of learning and evaluation across functions

• Extract, interpret, summarise and communicate key stakeholder needs from evaluation and data outputs 

• Work closely with our Data Monitoring Project team to incorporate data from our emerging Rewilding Monitoring Framework into our impact and evaluation framework.

• Produce evaluation reports and the data, stories and case studies for a high quality 10 year Impact Report using this framework.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This is a full time, fixed term role for an initial 9 month period, with the possibility of extension. The salary is £37,000 to £42,000 f.t.e depending on experience.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to coordinate an 18-month project exploring how we can operationalise a new in-work poverty benchmark for employers in London. This benchmark, developed by the Social Market Foundation, has the potential to improve the lives of low paid workers, building on the success of the Living Wage campaigns

The in-work poverty benchmark project is a new and exciting pilot project at the Living Wage Foundation. We want this person to build a case for employers going further than our existing accreditations and taking a more holistic approach to tackling in work poverty. This role would help us develop the pilot through employer case studies and extensive stakeholder engagement with a view to launching a new vehicle to recognise employers who adopt the in-work poverty benchmark.

Three key parts of the role would be working with:

- Our Membership team and our Operations and Insights team: to scope out and enhance their capacity to support employers to implement the benchmark through e.g. workshops, provision of guidance and /or new ways of working with employers.

- The cross organisational Making London a Living Wage City (MLLWC) team to build upon the successes and networks of this project and align where helpful to encourage London employers to go further

- London based community organisers to ensure that the experiences and stories of low paid workers are a primary driver of the case for change and how we develop this work.

The ideal candidate would be a proactive and experienced project manager with experience of building and implementing new products, projects or services. They should have excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders and building a network.

Living Wage Foundation

The Living Wage Foundation was launched in 2011 by Citizens UK to tackle in-work poverty and ensure that workers earn enough to live on and participate in family and community life. Citizens UK is the home of community organising with diverse civil society alliances set up to develop leaders to work on the issues that matter to them, such as the Living Wage. Other projects include Parent Action and Sponsor Refugees to add depth to the impact of Citizens UK’s work.

The Living Wage is a movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. The real Living Wage is an independently-calculated hourly rate based on the cost of living and announced each October ahead of Living Wage Week, our annual celebration of a growing network of over 15,000 Living Wage Employers.

The Living Wage Foundation celebrates employers that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage through an accreditation scheme that recognises a long-term commitment to fair pay and has secured pay rises for 475,000 low paid workers. Over recent years, the Living Wage Foundation has built on the success of the real Living Wage by creating new responsible employment standards – Living Hours and Living Pension – for those employers who want to go further and provide the security workers need now and in the future.

Main Responsibilities

Contribute to the achievement of the LWF and CUK’s strategic aims

· Work with the Living Wage Foundation team to embed this project into the wider work and strategy of the Foundation, and to identify and share learning from across our projects on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty.  

Develop and manage external relationships

· Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan to support and promote the project.

· Manage strong relationships with the project partners and funders to involve and update them on the project as required.

· Progress our existing partnerships whilst proactively securing new partnerships with organisations that can help promote and build demand for the in-work poverty benchmark.

· Develop a wide-ranging network of stakeholders with an interest in this project, finding ways to involve them in its development.

· Coordinate and manage a project working group of senior Living Wage Employers, in work poverty experts and employee stakeholders.

Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively

· Set up, manage and evaluate a set of action pilots with employers, low paid employees and relevant experts to develop and test the in-work poverty benchmark and the standards within it.

· Design and develop the recognition mechanism and support programme for employers who sign up to the in-work poverty benchmark.

· Provide regular progress reports and deliver agreed project milestones including events, reports and other agreed outputs.

· Oversee the project being integrated into our CRM system and developing robust project management systems.

Learning, expertise, wellbeing and inclusion

· Conduct desk research, stakeholder interviews and organise events as required to inform the project. Manage research partners to conduct additional research as required.

· Monitor, review, evaluate and write up pilot progress with each employer using qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.

· Working with others to identity and share learning on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty, considering this in the development of the in-work poverty benchmark.

· Develop and host employer facing events to gain insight and test appetite to support the development of this work.

· Design and facilitate employer workshops and employee focus groups to identify best practice and shared learning.

· Produce a final report and recommendations for how the work might be taken forward at the conclusion of the project, presenting this to relevant stakeholders.

Communications

· Oversee the collation and dissemination of research and evidence to build the case for the in-work poverty benchmark. Work with the Living Wage Foundation Communications and Research team to enable this.

· Develop the support we offer Living Wage Employers that are interested in implementing the in-work poverty benchmark and lead the production and design of research reports, toolkits, best practice guides and other resources.

· Promote the Living Wage Foundation to build our reputation as a leader in good work practices for low paid workers, including launching research and reports and celebrating progress made.

· Represent the Living Wage Foundation at meetings, events and conference to build awareness and support for our work. 

Develop and manage internal relationships:

· Build and manage strong relationships across the LWF and wider Citizens UK teams for effective collaboration and to support development of this work.

· Work closely with community organisers in London to ensure the voices of low paid workers are a leading influence on this project.

· Contribute to the LWF and Citizens UK Senior Management meetings and cross organisational working groups.

Generate income and resources

· Oversee the development and implementation of an employer fee structure for the in-work poverty benchmark vehicle.

· Work with the Head of Business Development and Policy to produce a sustainable fundraising strategy for this work whilst developing relationship with potential funders.

· Oversee the creation of proposals to secure funds from corporate partners and attract funding from grants or donations to support ongoing work.

Salary on appointment: £41,400 - £45,540 per annum*

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £41,400 to £62,100. Purpose of Role

The Programme Manager (Paths) will oversee programmes to protect and improve the quality, accessibility and provision of walking paths, so that more people can enjoy the benefits of walking. The role will be instrumental to achieving the Ramblers’ strategic goals – leading a team to deliver innovative and impactful programmes of work that make a real difference to local communities.

Key responsibilities

Programme planning and management:

• Develop and oversee programmes aimed at improving walking paths and routes in different communities.
• Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets – ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Stakeholder management:

• Work closely with local authorities, landowners, volunteers, and other stakeholders to deliver path projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and community groups to support the Ramblers’ goals.

Project oversight:

• Oversee the execution of path improvement, path protection and legal casework programmes – including contractor management, safety and compliance.
• Monitor progress robustly, mitigate risks and address any issues that arise during project implementation to ensure successful outcomes.

Budget and resource management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Monitor expenditure and report on budget performance, making adjustments as needed.

Compliance and quality assurance:

• Develop processes and procedures to ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice.
• Establish quality assurance mechanisms to verify that paths are maintained to a high standard and meet safety requirements.

Reporting and evaluation:

About Our Client

Primary job functions and key accountabilities

- Representing the sector and wider Association at meetings, conferences, exhibitions etc. and making presentations on the work of the Association and the interests of members.
- Ensuring the effective working of the sector forum, including organising and taking minutes of the Biogas forum meetings (held at least quarterly) and Steering Groups for Biogas and separately Hydrogen and landfill gas.

ABOUT DEMOCRACY CLASSROOM 

Democracy Classroom is a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections and democracy. The network supports collaboration through newsletters, training, meet up’s and an annual conference, as well as providing resources and training for teachers and youth practitioners. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership. 

Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK. 

The aims of the network include: 

Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.

Increasing the number of teachers and youth workers delivering democratic education, and strengthening their capacity to deliver impactful democratic engagement and voter registration activities in schools, colleges and youth settings across the UK.

Improving coordination between organisations engaging young people across the youth, education and democracy sectors, through growing the Democracy Classroom network.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To achieve the above, the post holder will:

• Support, build and manage relationships with over 100 civil society partner organisations.
• Manage the day-to-day running of the network, including the network's communications and databases.
• Coordinate the sharing of learning materials, working with teachers and youth workers to organise, map and curate content that supports democratic and election education.
• Oversee the Democracy Classroom website / platform. 
• Train and support teachers and youth workers to deliver democratic education materials. 
• Oversee our #ElectionCountdown programme during UK local, devolved and national elections and the associated comms campaigns. 
• Line manage the Democracy Classroom programme coordinator and manage relationships with freelance teachers, youth workers and designers.
• Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required.

The job is a fixed term 12-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with possible extension depending on the electoral calendar. 

The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training

• With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.

United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness of the plight of refugees and raise funds to help protect them through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.

Our supporters include UK private individuals, communities, corporate partners, trusts and foundations. The funds we raise help UNHCR deliver emergency relief such as shelter, medical care and basic supplies to people fleeing conflict and persecution, as well as healthcare, education and livelihoods opportunities for those who remain displaced over the long term.

Nobody chooses to be a refugee, but we can all play a part in their protection, and we want those who work with us to share our values and passion for the cause.

Role Responsibilities  

• Develop and deliver a new comprehensive business development strategy that will lead to seven-figure, sustainable corporate partnerships, delivering both unrestricted and restricted income.
• Coordinate market research to identify potential high value, strategic corporate partners that can deliver income, visibility and shared value for UK for UNHCR and UNHCR.
• Proactively approach prospects for partnership discussions. 
• Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, ensuring full use of senior leadership, technical colleagues and established private sector network.
• Develop unique combined financial and non-financial partnership propositions that lead to transformational partnerships.
• Lead the prospecting cycle: from first meeting, through to opportunity development, through to negotiation and contracting.
• Supervise and mentor a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.
• Work closely with internal teams, including Philanthropy and Communications, to align partnership efforts with organisational priorities.
• Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities at pace.
• Represent UK for UNHCR at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and build connections.

Personal Attributes and Experience

Essential Experience

• Proven track record of securing seven-figure corporate partnerships.
• Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing new business strategies.
• Experience in partnership negotiation. 
• Experience of communicating complex themes and subjects to a variety of audiences, written and verbal.
• Proven success across all types of corporate support, including grant-based, brand-led, pro bono, in-kind and employee engagement.
• Managing, forecasting and monitoring budgets to deliver against income and expenditure targets 
• Management and development of direct line reports.

Essential Skills/Knowledge  

• Deep understanding of charity-corporate partnerships and the business case behind mutually beneficial collaborations.
• Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Outstanding communication skills that inspire action from audiences.
• Distil complex information and themes into tangible, impactful partnership propositions.
• Prioritise and work at pace, sometimes under pressure.
• Creative and collaborative working style, and able to adapt to differing needs and priorities of teams spread across multiple locations.
• Strong IT skills to produce high quality proposals, presentations, and reports. 

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Business development in an international development or humanitarian organisation.
• Knowledge of sustainable and innovative financing mechanisms.
• Previous use of Salesforce.
• Awareness and understanding of CSRD and its potential implications.
• Ability to work flexibly and travel, and to work unsocial hours on occasion, as required.
