Medical expertise to strengthen the clinical strategy delivery and support a multi-disciplinary approach. Your expertise might come from any relevant medical discipline – e.g. paediatrician, critical care, any area of acute medicine.
Are you a senior experienced retailer, familiar with all aspects of maximising profitability and positive customer experience. You will help us to maximise the financial, reputational and PR opportunities of our suite of retail outlets and optimise the model to support growth.
We also seek professionals with experience in technology or data. Your experience might be in IT, applications and systems, cyber security, artificial intelligence, networks and infrastructure. Alternatively you may be
experienced in data protection, data analytics, data governance or digital transformation.
You may have other valuable skills.
Approximate time commitment – a total of three days per quarter minimum.

We’re looking for one Support Group Volunteer over the age of 18 years old, based at The Pelham, Holliers Hill, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, TN40 2DD, but some volunteering can be done remotely.
You’ll be volunteering on occasional Fridays, with additional time for administration work.

About Us
In 2021, we began as a small volunteer group with a vision to empower young girls in Afghanistan facing immense barriers to learning by providing quality education and facilitating community-based education. Coempowered is seeking dedicated Volunteer Social Media volunteers who care about and are passionate about our cause. In this role, you will have the chance to use your creativity and communication skills to promote our cause and engage with our online community.

Traditionally, GRAB trustees have been residents of the Argyll and Bute area but GRAB would also welcome interest from candidates who are from further afield. New trustees are sought who offer insights and experience in:

- Any type of recycling programmes and/or environmental protection;

The London Basketball Association (LBA) provides sustainable and regular participation in the sport of basketball whilst aiding and encouraging a variety of career paths for young people living in London’s most deprived and isolated communities.
What is LBA looking for?
The London Basketball Association is pleased to announce that an opportunity has arisen for a Board of Trustees Chairperson to join our intensely committed organisation.
The Board of Trustees Chairperson is a pivotal role within the organisation, tasked with holding the Board and Executive Team to account, to ensure the Charity hits its mission and longer term strategic visions. This is achieved by providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the charity. Time Commitments: The Board of Trustees meet 6 times per year [bi-monthly]. Meeting may be held either in person and virtually. Roles and responsibilities
As a trustee, you will play a critical role in guiding our strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and supporting the delivering of our mission. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Oversight: Collaborate with fellow trustees and staff to develop and implement strategies that align with the charity’s goals and ensure its sustainable growth.
- Advisory Role: Provide expert advice in your area of expertise, whether that be corporate partnerships, legal matters, charity growth, or community engagement.
- Support and Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for the charity, promoting our work and engaging with key stakeholders to advance our mission.
- Operational Input: While our board is transitioning from an operational to a more strategic focus, trustees will still be expected to take on functional roles as needed, especially in areas where the charity requires additional support
Qualifications and skills
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ youth and can bring the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing equality and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community.
- Relevant professional experience in one or more of the key areas listed above.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to high-level decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to dedicate time and expertise to the charity’s success.
Time commitment
- The Board meets at least four times a year.
- It is expected the trustees spent at least two hours a week on their duties.
- As we continue to transition our board to a more strategic focus, trustees may be asked to support operational tasks on an as-needed basis.

We hold a position in the UK’s cultural landscape as a diverse-led company that is internationally renowned, award-winning, and making transformative theatre through a collaborative devising process we’ve refined over 18 years.
Our purpose is to highlight complex but urgent socio-political issues through theatre which is entertaining and accessible. We create ambitious, experimental productions that contribute to national conversations and provide opportunities for audiences to engage, respond and contribute to lesser heard perspectives on universal themes.

Mary Ward Settlement was founded in 1895, and today is a multi-service charity that focuses on empowering people to enrich and transform their lives by offering inclusive education opportunities, legal advice, and community support services. Advancing equality and diversity remains at the heart of Mary Ward Settlement, born from its inception in the Settler’s Movement, and our founder Mary Ward’s vision of ‘equalisation’ for adult learning to open up educational opportunities for all. The Board of Trustees is an integrated Board, offering strategic oversight and professional expertise across the three charities that make up Mary Ward. The Chair of Mary Ward is more than a conduit between our Board of Trustees and our Senior Management team. The Chair orchestrates support from our trustees which recognises skills and experience, provides guidance and challenge to the management team, and is a visible connector, champion, and leader of our inclusive and warm culture. Our organisation is inquisitive and reflective, excited about learning, committed to community, and our Chair helps us reflect this passion across the group and to our wider community.
Requirements/Person Specification
- Working knowledge of good governance principles
- Strong interpersonal skills grounded in supportive and positive values
- Strong leadership skills including those of diplomacy, influence, and mediating
- General business senior management experience which includes financial understanding, staff management, operational efficiency and effectiveness
