Summary

Main Responsibilities
You will be the first point of contact for people fundraising in their community for Diabetes UK, from doing a skydive to organising a bake sale. You will ensure they receive an excellent experience from the charity and support them to raise as much as they can and become life-long supporters.
You will also provide administrative support to the wider Community Fundraising team and build effective working relationships to do so in a professional, timely and effective way.
Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in providing excellent customer experience, within a charity or another sector. You will also have strong abilities in managing competing deadlines and organising your time effectively to prioritise your workload. It is not expected that you will have experience of working in a fundraising team, but transferable skills and a passion to learn.

About the role
Our moderators manage Facebook groups of up to 18,000 virtual challenge participants. You will be working with some of the biggest names in the sector, supporting them to raise five and six figure sums.
This role is perfect for skilled fundraisers who can provide excellent supporter care, and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9am (or earlier), wrap up by 9pm and adhere to our sub-three hour response time.

Main Responsibilities
As a Fundraising Events Coordinator you will provide an excellent customer experience to participants taking on fundraising events for Diabetes UK. The Fundraising Events Coordinator will provide professional, timely and engaging support that enhances supporter stewardship and maximises income generation.

Assigned 'lead coordinator' on high profile events, you will support the Event Manager with the development and delivery of events from setting up registration forms all the way through to post-event thanking. You'll also work with other teams and suppliers that support the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories.
You may also be responsible for management of your own projects as well as maintaining & optimising administrative systems and processes.

Fundraising Supporter Development Coordinator
About the role
CUF equips people and churches to build just and flourishing communities where they live, so everyone across England can access support when they need it most.
Our fundraising team is a valued part of this, and as our supporter development coordinator, you will coordinate campaigns, direct marketing appeals and other supporter communications, using fundraising best practice, to maximise Church Urban Fund’s income for all components of individual and church giving. We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraising Officer based in London.
We offer hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week at our London Head Office
(close to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Old Street stations).
Our charity
The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’
where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar,
our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing
around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the
hospital means that they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry
about.
The role
This is a wide-ranging community fundraising role. Activities include supporting family
fundraising and third-party events in the south such as The Royal Parks Half Marathon and
The Brighton Marathon. You will be required to forge, develop and grow new and existing
fundraising opportunities and relationships with local businesses, community organisations
and schools.
Key to this, is the provision of a sensitive and effective supporter journey for new and
existing supporters.
Also, you will work collaboratively with the fundraising department and the
communications and marketing team to ensure effective integration of campaigns and
activities.
You will actively cultivate and recruit new and existing supporters and volunteers to
participate in a range of third-party events and support the organisation.
You will lead on Supermarket charitable schemes, including research, support with copy
and applications to reach targets set for this area of income.
About you
Ideally you have successful community fundraising experience including provision of a good
supporter journey.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will equally be as
comfortable supporting families who stay with us who want to fundraise, as you are
presenting to a room full of students, or potential volunteers.
You have good organisational skills and are comfortable working to objectives and targets.
You are able to work with a level of autonomy and innovation to develop your fundraising
portfolio and to increase our profile particularly in the areas close to our houses.
Ultimately this is a great role for anyone who loves community fundraising and
understands that no two days are the same.
An enhanced DBS check for this role is required.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for growing income from our community fundraising and major donor relationships, so that an even greater impact can be made on adopted young people and their families. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supported by the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership team, take ownership of developing, delivering and monitoring fundraising events and activities in line with our fundraising strategy
· Manage existing and develop new innovative fundraising campaigns and activities to engage new and existing supporters & donors including legacies, external challenge events, digital fundraising campaigns, community activities, and large-scale events.
· Work with the team marketing lead to create compelling copy to promote events and help recruit supporters and donors.
· Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations including membership and community teams
· Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to support more community fundraising across the organisation, including volunteer fundraiser recruitment.
· Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.

PCUK's sector leading Events and Community fundraising team raises c.£12m through a programme of Community, Sporting Events and Virtual Products. Along with recruiting teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, they also deliver two-charity owned cycling events, the Grand Depart Classic and the Big Blue Bike Ride. The role of Sporting Events Manager offers an exciting oportunity to lead on the strategy and delivery of the charity’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. A key focus will be with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan.
As Sporting Events Manager, you will:
- Support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income through their Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The income for the events team is c.£3.3m, with expenditure of c.£1.1m.
- Lead on strategy and delivery of PCUK’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. You will project manage the event, co-creating and managing the recruitment marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value and working with an external delivery partners
- Work closely with the Black Healthy Equity Team to increase representation across PCUK’s activity portfolio, with a focus on March for Men to ensure it’s a diverse and inclusive event
- Drive and report on operational plans and budgets to generate medium and long-term sustainable income, taking responsibility for team outcomes including financial and key result reporting
- Line manage and support a Sporting Events Coordinator and Sporting Events Executive
Ideal skills and experience:

big tech. In addition, our UK-focused Bureau Local team uses an innovative community-led

and donations so – put simply – without their support, we wouldn’t be here.
Although our supporters may come from different backgrounds or have varied priorities, they all
share a common goal: tackling the issues across our society that are eroding democracy and
driving inequality. They support our work to hold those in power accountable, uncover new
evidence to support positive change, and empower citizens.
The Bureau has experienced significant growth over the past three years, increasing our annual
income to £2.8m and expanding to a team of more than 40 people. While the majority of our
income comes from grants, there is strong potential for further fundraising growth, and we are

Role and Responsibilities:
Support from trusts and foundations is our main source of philanthropic income so we are looking
for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and
expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current
funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants.
In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our
funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact
producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that
values teamwork and shared success.
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into
clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be

While experience in high-net-worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You
don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our
work and able to express The Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and
compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks
– big or small – to ensure The Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
- Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
- Great analytical skills, with experience in researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;
