• Coach, Lead, and Inspire: Working closely with your team you will foster a culture of collaboration and growth. 
• Achieve Sales Targets: With a sharp focus on financial goals, you will lead your area to meet and exceed sales targets.  You will maximise retail profit by driving donated sales, new goods sales, Gift aid and fundraising income whilst also controlling variable costs. You will monitor each shops sales performance against a weekly budget, taking action as necessary to improve sales performance where shops are under-performing.
• Recruit and Develop Talent: Building a high-performing team is key. Working alongside Woodgreen’s People Team, you will recruit, develop, and retain top-notch staff across all roles, nurturing their skills and potential to drive performance.  You will also work with our Volunteer Engagement Team to recruit, train, motivate, manage and support our loyal and committed team of volunteers.
• Ensure Compliance: Across your designated area you will ensure in-shop compliance with organisational policies and Woodgreen’s Ways of Being, with a strong understanding of safeguarding in the charity retail environment.
• Analyse Data for Insights: Using relevant financial data you will make informed commercial decisions in order to guide your area towards profitability and sustainability.
• Set Standards: By maintaining sector-leading standards in customer service and in-store merchandising, you will ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

We are looking for a full-time Shelter Coordinator to join our small and friendly team to lead the successful delivery of our shelter operations for the 2024-25 winter season. 

C4WS Homeless Project provides support to those experiencing homelessness throughout the year via a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, hosting scheme, mentoring scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently. 
 
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the practical and day-to-day running of our shelters, which will involve: 

• Ensuring each shelter has enough trained volunteers to safely operate
• Ensuring each shelter has all the practical equipment and resources needed 
• Liaising with and supporting church volunteer teams 
• Being the main staff presence at shelter shifts 
• Responsible for managing our weekly Friday Club drop in 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or other similarly disadvantaged groups, an efficient and practical approach, warm and friendly nature, and a can-do attitude.
 
The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly whilst the shelter is operating. This includes some evenings (9:30pm finish), and some weekend shifts and bank holidays, as per a weekly-changing rota, and therefore is required to display considerable flexibility. Please only apply if you feel you can commit to this.

Line Manager: Digital Communications Lead

Your responsibilities will include:

Social media delivery and community management

• Plan and deliver inspiring and effective social media content, including as part of engagement campaigns, fundraising appeals and initiative launches, and in support of our partners and members.
• Produce text- and video-/graphic-based social media posts and campaigns that are both suited to our target audiences and adapted for the most appropriate social channels.
• Carry out community management across the charity's digital channels, triaging queries and drafting responses.
• Assist with the optimisation of Rewilding Britain's current social media channels and the identification of new opportunities/platforms/trends that would help further our mission.
  

Email communications 

• Support the Communications and Engagement team with the planning, building and scheduling of email communications (campaigns, supporters, fundraising, corporate partners etc) within Mailchimp.
• Assist with the AB testing of our email marketing and executing a plan of continuous improvement for our emails.
• Support with managing our enquiry inboxes as and when required.
  

Reporting and optimising

• Collate statistics on the performance of our social and email channels, in line with our KPIs, and work closely with the Digital Communications Lead to make ongoing recommendations for our output.
• Implement feedback and lessons learned to refine and improve our social media approach.
• Stay current with sector and specialist trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously grow the effectiveness of our channels, particularly social media.

Communications support

• Take responsibility for triaging internal requests for content output across our channels and coordinate this across the Communications and  Engagement team.
• Assist the team in keeping our image library up to date, by uploading and tagging new imagery.
• Support the team by uploading content to Rewilding Britain's website, following best practice. You may also provide support for more involved web optimisation projects.
• Support with the preparation and delivery of online and in-person events. As well as providing social media and email support, this could include representing Rewilding Britain alongside other team members at events, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, rallies and more.
• Contribute to content production across the team, where relevant, such as producing blogs or carrying out image research.
• Support the Communications Team with general administrative tasks where required.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

The role is a full-time, 5-day-week (35 hours) position.

The salary is £23,000 - £27,000 per annum depending upon experience.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

Better Cotton is seeking a dynamic data analytics professional to join its Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team. Successful candidates will be skilled at analysing data on agricultural practices, field results and programmes, as well as adept at transforming analyses into clear visualisations with concise explanations. The MEL Data Insights and Visualization Manager will assist in compiling data from different sources and different teams, transforming, cleaning, validating, analysing data and promoting its insights though dynamic dashboards using Power BI and creating reports to disseminate learnings to our stakeholders (which range from farmers, programme partners close to the field to textile brands). The MEL Data Insights and Visualization Manager will report to Head of MEL inside the Standards and Assurance Team. There is not team reporting into this role at the moment, but we anticipate building up a team over time. You will play a key role in creating data feedback loops that will contribute to continuous improvement and influence programmatic change at the field-level and at the organization. You will influence our members by promoting our results and activities and those of our partners.

The Challenge

We are a large sustainability standard in the middle of big transformations (moving from a voluntary standard to a certification scheme, new legislations to adapt, increased consumer demands). Data plays a key role in informing our progress towards our targets.

As the MEL Data Insights and Visualisation Manager, you will be responsible for turning data into insights and providing Better Cotton staff and stakeholders with dynamic visualisation tools and reports. Data analysis requires a lot of context and for that understanding of sustainability standards, impact measurements and agriculture would be needed.

Areas that play to your strengths

We are seeking a motivated MEL Data Insights and Visualisation Manager to join our MEL Team. In this role, you will work both independently and with team members in the MEL secretariat and local country-team offices. Your responsibilities are to:

• Oversee, support and perform effective and accurate analysis of farm-level results data, reach data, practice adoption, programme activities… among other datasets.
• Create tools for analysis and reporting with Power BI and other tools adapted to range of stakeholders with different goals and backgrounds
• Ensure regularly scheduled reporting is completed accurately and to schedule, creating content and coordinating with other teams
• Actively promote existing data insights providing the needed context, tools and improvement possibilities inside the organisation that could support learning and accountability

• Ensure visibility of activities, ideas and potential of MEL into the organisation.

• Collaborate for assessing farm results data quality, identify problematic areas, and contribute to data quality improvement plans
• Ensure cross-functional coordination around data analysis and data collection
• Support data digitalisation pilots and roll out by testing apps and ensuring the consistency for analysis, creating related dashboards, evaluating its alignment with MEL needs and suggesting improvements

About the Role:
The Sanitation Senior Advisor is a senior position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the Sanitation Lead.  Together with the Sanitation Lead, the Senior Advisor co-leads the delivery of core team responsibilities regarding the thematic areas of sanitation and other closely associated topics.  Applying a people-centred, systems strengthening approach to WASH, she/he provides high quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid’s programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.

In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, she/he co-leads the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and co-leads the development of relevant standards and guidance.  She/he also provides strategic and technical input to fundraising, communications, and external engagements.

The Senior advisor has a high degree of independent and professional responsibility within own specialist areas, and discusses with her/his line manager to agree on how objectives are delivered.  She/he is seen as a thematic authority and is able to handle highly challenging technical assignments.  With a good understanding of organisational dynamics and ways of working, she/he is expected to effectively collaborate widely across WaterAid, facilitating joined-up and comprehensive efforts to advance WaterAid’s programming globally.

About You:

• Strong technical experience in developing, and implementing sanitation approaches, services delivery and management models, resilience and sustainability of services, environmental sanitation, sanitary engineering, wastewater and drainage, and/or other inter-related topics across different settings, demonstrated through a progressive career record. 
• A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience. 
• Strong experience in offering technical assistance, consulting, and/or advisory services to empower and to develop capacities of sanitation service providers, operators, local and national governments as well as INGO/CSO partners.  
• Ability to handle highly specialized, unusual, and challenging technical assignments, resolve complex issues in practical and imaginative ways. 
• Strong writing and communication ability in English. Experienced in producing practical knowledge products targeting needs of diverse audiences and effective peer-learning and sharing of good practices and lessons.

• A team player, able to work responsibly, under pressure, and collaboratively across diverse groups and culture.

Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.

As Finance Manager you will report to and work closely with the Finance Director and have responsibility for the operational delivery of the finance, resource, monitoring, HR and contracting work streams within the charity. The role sits within the management group at CAAS, alongside the Youth, Adult and Family Service managers and the Client Programmes Director and manages the Finance and Monitoring Assistant and the Office Assistant.

The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure and operational delivery at the charity are effective for the more than 30 staff we employ, and the more than 11,000 instances of support we provide each year. Therefore, we are looking for a capable, calm, self-motivated, organised and hard-working accountant who is looking to move into a senior finance role, from any commercial, statutory or charitable background.

The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent communication skills, experience of management accounting and reporting, and an understanding of HR and payroll operations. You will ideally have some line management or project management experience to draw on in this role. Ultimately you will have the drive to ensure that everyone who works for us, and everyone who seeks support from us, has the best possible experience.

There is no requirement for any experience of, or understanding of ADHD / autistic individuals, as we will provide training on the conditions. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to make an impact are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Management and Reporting

· Prepare accurate, timely and well controlled and documented monthly and quarterly accounts. Share the outcomes of your reviews with the Finance Director, and ensure the accounts are reported in an meaningful way.

· Support in the preparation of Trustee reporting

· Support in the preparation and audit of the annual statutory accounts.

· Support with the annual budget and periodic reforecast processes to ensure the timely and appropriate provision of information to facilitate necessary adjustments to operational activity and appropriate decision making around cash investments.

· Ensure processes and procedures are carried out on a timely and effective basis to ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to, and any control weaknesses mitigated and improvement plans in place

· Maintain records to ensure accurate restricted and unrestricted fund allocation.

· Be accountable for operating effective controls and oversight regarding contracts with freelancers, volunteers or other suppliers

· Deliver all day-to-day finance and cash management operations, scheduling, tracking and fulfilling invoices and payments, providing accurate bookkeeping, approving payment runs and reconciled balance sheets, detailed records re credit card and other payment platforms, and generally work to use and improve the financial systems in place to ensure the charity’s overall stability and sustainability.

· Review and update funder schedule allocations, ensuring invoices raised on time and costs allocated correctly.

· Review and approve Customer and Supplier invoices, review of month end information from finance team. Creation and posting of month end journals, reviewing the month end accounts to budget and analysing any discrepancies.

· Supporting the Finance Director and CEO on adhoc reports or analysis

· As a member of the management group participate in cross team working meetings and management meetings, and build relationships with the other members of the management group such that you become an integral support resource to them as they deliver for our clients.

Resource & IT Management

· Hold responsibility for arranging and maintaining the charity IT and phone hardware and software

· Act as first line IT support for charity staff

· Hold the relationship with the external IT provider and liaise to ensure appropriate on and off boarding and security arrangements.

· Manage our internal personnel and H&S support programmes, such as our EAP provider, our training providers and our office maintenance systems.

· Maintain the charity asset register, and complete the necessary operational tasks to ensure the charity is appropriately resourced to provide effective infrastructure backdrop for our staff.

Monitoring Management, Reporting and Impact Evaluation

· Carry out the necessary regular reviews and support so that our CRM records are complete and accurate in respect of work performed, and prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports internally.

· Prepare monitoring reports for funders on quarterly basis as and when required

· Ensure best practice in monitoring collection and evaluation, including managing GDPR processes, creating appropriate forms, and communicating deadlines and requirements to all staff.

· Operate as the internal first line of support for our CRM system and consequent monitoring reporting tools, to ensure they are accurate, regularly reviewed and procedures documented and continuously improved.

· Prepare impact and distance travelled statistics for our external communications, to support our fundraising efforts.

HR and Payroll Operations

· Deliver on the necessary onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, including complying with on our safer recruitment requirements, creating contracts and contract variation letters, supporting staff with timesheets and other records of work, carrying out pension operations and supporting with interview arrangements.

· Carry out the delivery of the monthly payroll process, including preparation and review of the payroll files, carrying out calculations around overtime pay etc, providing an accurate and well controlled process, and enabling payments to be made on the pay date each month. Processing the payroll journals on a monthly basis

Person Specification - Essential

· Fully qualified accountant: eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA, with proven financial management knowledge and experience

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. As we enter our fourth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This includes building strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and partner schools, as well as coordinating training, enrichment activities, and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a passion for empowering young Black women, and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Mentee Recruitment and Induction

• Work closely with partner schools to finalise mentee cohorts.
• Visit schools to deliver induction sessions familiarising mentees with the programme.
• Lead mentor-matching sessions with support from Mentoring Coordinators.

Mentor Training and Onboarding

• Develop and deliver training sessions for mentors.
• Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator to ensure a diverse mentor pool.
• Support mentors to maximise the impact of their relationships.

Mentor Coordination

• Support a cohort of up to 30 mentoring pairs.
