Variety, the Children's Charity, seeks an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver our corporate partnerships portfolio and secure new, high-value partnerships – could it be you?Our corporate supporters are key to achieving our mission to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. You will be joining the charity at a very exciting time as we launch a three-year strategy to drive ambitious growth and develop sector-leading partnerships.

Based in our head office in London, you will play a key role in our fundraising team, working alongside the CEO and Director of Fundraising and Communications to develop corporate leads from our high-profile events and supporters, grow our existing partnerships and drive corporate engagement to achieve our goals. 

In the UK, there are more than 1.3 million disabled children and nearly four million children living in poverty. Variety exists to improve their lives. Variety is also involved with a number of capital projects which transform the facilities of hospitals and SEN schools. In addition, each year tens of thousands of children take part in day trips, special events and educational activities as part of our Variety Great Days Out programme and every single day we are improving more young lives. We’re not content to rest on our laurels – we have recently completed a leadership transition that will provide the strategic and operational foundation for the charity to be more effective than ever.  ●  Account management of a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship to meet income targets and agreed KPI’s, increasing engagement to deliver maximum potential for Variety

●Management of the new business pipeline and new business approaches, developing leads and identifying prospects, engaging them with our work to grow the partnerships portfolio

●Create comprehensive partnership delivery plans including fundraising, communications, finance, impact reporting with partnership key messaging

●   Write and deliver bespoke propositions, proposals and pitches for new business development meeting agreed KPI’s

Role Purpose

The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. This role oversees the day-to-day operational leadership of the charity, ensuring that its systems, processes, and teams are aligned with strategic objectives and compliant with relevant legislation.

This position will lead on programme delivery, financial management, human resources, IT infrastructure, risk and compliance, governance, and facilities management, ensuring that the organisation operates smoothly and sustainably. The post-holder will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), embedding a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation, and also be responsible for policy development and culture and wellbeing. 

As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Operations Director will work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, funders, partners, and staff to drive organisational effectiveness and ensure that the charity can continue delivering high-impact work.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Organisational Strategy

• Provide strategic leadership for all operational functions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement efficient systems, processes, and policies to improve operational effectiveness.
• Work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to ensure that the charity is resilient, agile, and positioned for sustainable growth.

• As the Designated Safeguarding Lead (a role delegated by the Chief Executive), ensure robust safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices are in place.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on safeguarding responsibilities and best practices.
• Oversee the Deputy Safeguarding Leads, acting as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns from them, ensuring they are appropriately reported and addressed.
• Embed a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring that all programmes and services prioritise the safety and wellbeing of beneficiaries.

Human Resources, People Management & Wellbeing

• Lead the HR function, ensuring best practices in recruitment, retention, staff development, and performance management.

About the Role

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a permanent contract. The annual salary is £42,193 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we ask staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. However, we are open to discussions on a flexible working arrangement on a case-by-case basis. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time, for example for donor events.

About the Role

Our Funding Management team are looking for someone who loves excel and has excellent attention to detail. (We have 2 x roles - a 12 month and a 6 month fixed-term contract)

This role is responsible for ensuring we maximise our restricted funds income in compliance with our funders requirements by allocating funding to grants, compiling and submitting claims and reports to Funders in a timely manner. Working effectively across the King's Trusts Delivery, Finance and Fundraising teams in a proactive manner.

Purpose of the role

To lead on corporate partnerships and support the other areas of income generation, including trusts and foundations fundraising and service development. This role will have a national remit and work closely with Brook’s Executive Team and colleagues across the organisation to support business growth and innovation through effective management of existing and new partnerships.

• Proven experience of securing effective and successful corporate partnerships within the charitable sector.    
• Significant experience of securing funding and generating income through charitable trusts, foundations or other funding bodies and partnership working.
