We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with budget tracking and financial processes.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work well within a team.

About the role
You will be joining a friendly and hardworking Legacy Administration Team that is responsible for liaising with solicitors and lay executors to ensure that some 500 cases a year are dealt with sensitively and efficiently. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team.
About you
You are proactive, have excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. You are a good communicator who is able to liaise sensitively and professionally with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. Database, Social Media and Office Administrator
Merton Mencap is a local charity supporting young people and adults with a learning disabilty and / or autism and their family carers in the borough of Merton.
We provide weekday, weekend and holiday clubs, as well as learning opportunities at our Community Cafe. We hold lots of fundraising events such as indoor sky diving, our annual charity auction and staff joining together to sing Christmas carols in shopping centres to raise funds to support our projects.
This is a varied role and the successful candidate will be pivital to all aspects of the business, working with all members of the Senior Management Team as well as project staff who work across the borough of Merton.
The applicant will be responsible to the Office Manager and will support them in day to day operations for the charity, as well as being a social media and database expert for the charity. Training on our database system will be provided.
The role is office based in our Merton Offices and can be worked over 2 or 3 days per week, 52 wks per year.

We have recently received funding from the National Lottery, and are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Centre. Duties
- Oversee our volunteers and the daily operations of the centre, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for our clients
- Lead and manage other team members, providing guidance, support
- Develop programmes that address community needs for both social contact and health promotion
- Oversee admin, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain the confidence of the Board of Trustees and the Chair
- Manage fundraising activities to support centre initiatives and enhance community outreach
- Organise and manage social media platforms to engage with the community, promote events, and share educational content.
- Collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and expand service offerings.
Requirements
- A passion for adding quality to older people's lives

- Proficiency in social media management tools and strategies for effective community engagement
- Experience in fundraising initiatives is highly desirable

To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the North London.

We are seeking a Legacy Giving Manager to develop strong, gospel-centered partnerships with a growing community of legacy pledgers. You’ll craft compelling propositions that give pledgers confidence their legacy gift to LCM will create a lasting gospel impact. You’ll provide them with meaningful ways to connect with LCM, so they can understand the impact of their gift more deeply.
You’ll also collaborate with external specialists and LCM’s finance team to ensure a sensitive, relational approach with family executors, while handling the efficient, accurate administration of all legacy gifts to meet audit standards.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Have at least two years fundraising experience
- Excellent experience of creating fundraising or marketing campaigns with a compelling call to action
- Proven experience of growing income through relationship fundraising
- Experience of managing projects involving internal stakeholders and external suppliers
