About the role
We are seeking a PR and Communications Manager to join our ambitious team. We know that incredible work goes on behind the scenes at Smart Works, and that what we do meaningfully helps to change the lives of thousands of women every year. But we need you to help us shout from the rooftops about our service and impact, actively seeking media opportunities and press coverage, to increase our public profile. Your work will make a real difference – spreading the Smart Works message not only to the women we exist to support, but fundraisers, referral partners, volunteers and the public too.
Duties and responsibilities
- You will amplify and lead existing integrated campaigns, including the Smart Works Unemployment Index, International Women’s Day and International Day of the Girl. With the support of the Digital Marketing Manager, Graphic Design Manager and Digital Communications Manager, you’ll ensure our campaigns are widely noticed and talked about, in the press, online and local community.
- You will develop and manage media opportunities (proactive and reactive), including owning our press office, writing and distributing press releases, building relationships with journalists, tracking coverage, and briefing spokespeople.
- You will lead and develop our Client Champions programme and case studies, ensuring the client remains central to the charity’s external voice, proactively seeking opportunities to tell their stories to encourage support/donations from external communities, and managing any nationwide communication moments/events.
- You will support our engagement with Patrons and Ambassadors, managing relationships where appropriate and seeking new advocates who can authentically help tell our story, to reach more people.
- You will lead the coordination of our internal communications calendar and reporting, working with internal stakeholders across Partnerships, Operations and our local centres to ensure that key moments are recognised, with support at a national level where appropriate.
- You will support with other team tasks, such as social media scheduling and content creation.

The successful candidate will report to our Director of Communications and Marketing. The role has no line management responsibility but will work closely with colleagues – including our Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Communications Manager and Graphic Design Manager – so you should be used to collaborating with others, in a dynamic environment.

We're seeking skilled and dedicated people who are passionate about ending homelessness to join our Tenancy Sustainment Team as Caseworkers. Delivering strengths-based and person-centred support with clients who live in their own homes. Your mission is to help people to better manage their tenancy, increase their independence, and participate in an equal footing in their communities. TST have both permanent and fixed term opportunities for new Caseworkers in different areas of our service delivery, including welcoming and resettling people into the service at the start of their support ; providing ongoing tenancy related support to people during their tenancy ; and supporting people to move on to longer term and, where appropriate, more independent accommodation.
About the role:
Tenancy Sustainment Team (TST) North deliver support to over 1200 people who live in social and private rented housing units across North, West and East London. This service is for people:
- Aged 18 years old or above
- Who have lived experience of homelessness
- Who need support to manage and sustain their own housing / tenancy to avoid a return to homelessness
As a TST North Caseworker, you'll play a key role supporting people in the community. People we work with are offered 1-1 support from their named Caseworker, who initially identify and assess the needs of new clients, and who deliver support to people to:
- Move into, and sustain, their tenancies - providing support and advice on housing difficulties, e.g. rent arrears, disrepair or neighbour disputes, and urgent support for people facing eviction
- Promote their health and well-being - Facilitating access to, and advocacy at, health services and appointments
- Be financially resilient - Providing benefits advice, supporting people to maximise their income and to reduce debt and arrears
- Be more independent - We support people to move to permanent, and more independent, housing after 2 years or at the appropriate time
Working together with clients and partner services, you’ll agree initial support and safety plans with clients, identifying SHP and community services and resources that can help clients to meet their goals and aspirations, and connecting clients to these services. You'll also contribute as part of a team towards continual service development, improvement and innovation, to benefit TST clients.
Caseworker posts are for Mondays - Fridays, 9am to 5pm. Posts involve hybrid work with opportunities to work from home at times. The role includes hybrid working and is based at our office in Kings Cross. There are opportunities to work from home at times.

Post: Fundraising Coordinator
Based: The Little Hearts Matter office based in Birmingham
There is an opportunity for some flexible working.
Responsible to: Fundraising Manager
Salary: £22,000 to £24,000 per annum pro rata

This year, and every year, as many as 600 families in the UK will learn that their child has only half a working heart. These children have one of the most complex of all heart conditions, and there is no cure. Families in this situation need care and support to understand the information, make important treatment decisions, and meet the everyday challenges of living with half a heart.
That is why Little Hearts Matter exists. We wrap a blanket of understanding and care around families at every stage of their half a heart journey. We are always here when they need us.
Without donations, Little Hearts Matter would not be able to offer our services, free of charge, to support individuals and families across the UK. We do not receive any government funding for our work. Our fundraising team is essential to raising these vital funds—over £500,000 annually. Your role as Fundraising Coordinator is crucial in helping us achieve this goal.
In this role, you will support the fundraising team in carrying out administrative tasks that are key to the success of our fundraising efforts. This includes managing our donor database, processing donations, supporting community and corporate fundraising activities, and contributing to campaigns and events. You will work closely with our Fundraising Manager and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, making it easier for us to continue offering vital support to families.

About Little Hearts Matter
Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.
Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations and the gradual realisation that they will never have the same life as their peers. Our aims are to:
Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.
Reduce fear by offering patients, parents, siblings, and the extended family a greater opportunity to understand the diagnosis and treatment paths available.
Reduce confusion and a lack of understanding by producing and supplying for free, user focused information that supports and aids understanding from the time of diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.
Raise a greater awareness within Medical, Educational, Social and Governmental circles of the needs of children, and their families, as they travel through every stage of their lives.
Role Purpose:
This important role is vital to the continued growth of Little Hearts Matter’s fundraising activities and the sustainability of our services.
As Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a key part in supporting the fundraising team to secure and manage donations, ensuring the smooth running of campaigns, appeals, and donor communications. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and other team members, you will help ensure the charity meets its annual fundraising target of over £400,000, generated through a diverse mix of member fundraising, community campaigns, and appeals.

Emmaus Greenwich is a unique charity that offers a home, work and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, work opportunities and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for a compassionate, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide tailored person-centred support to a caseload of formerly homeless individuals known as “Companions” especially to those who are struggling with substance misuse. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to identify and promptly address risks or safeguarding concerns. Empathy, attentive listening, and strong verbal communication skills are also key requirements.
The successful candidate will understand that many people with experience of homelessness can also be trying to navigate other complex needs. The purpose of the Project worker is to provide a person-centred support to a caseload of Companions in particular to those who are experiencing difficulty in maintaining their tenancy due to their experiences and relationship with substances, including alcohol.
Proficiency with IT and the ability to maintain up do date records in our database are necessary.

To engage with children, young people and their families and deliver a combination of advice and signposting, 1:1 sessions, groups and workshops, online and telephone interventions to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

To take responsibility for own caseload of children, young people, and families some with complex and multiple needs with support from senior Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) staff.
To help involve children, young people, and their parents in the co-production of programmes, activities and services.
To work collaboratively with partner organisations in the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership, Surrey Children’s Services, local CAMHS/CYPS teams, schools, and other community-based services to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families. To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with children and young people.
To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated.
To apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.
To help provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions.
To work as part of a team and attend team meetings, training events and participate fully in one to one, peer and group supervision.
The jobholder may be required to carry out other duties as directed by the EWMH Services Manager, the responsibility level of which should not exceed those outlined above.
Occasional evening work required (with a corresponding later start time or possibility to claim time off in lieu).
Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role.

The Ubele Initiative was established in 2014 as an African Diaspora led intergenerational social enterprise. Our mission is helping to build more sustainable black and racially minoritized communities across the UK. About The Role
As a Ubele Programme Coordinator, you will be a member of the Community Wealth Building hub supporting the programme manager by overseeing administrative tasks, coordinating learning programmes, communicating with our partners ensuring resource availability for the project team from project inception to completion.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Programme Coordination & Collaboration
Collaborate with the CWB Director and Agbero Programme Manager to coordinate the delivery of learning and training within Agbero2100.
Serve as the first point of contact for the Agbero2100 London programme, handling and redirecting enquiries as appropriate.
Maintain effective and ongoing communication with key stakeholders, ensuring their active engagement and interest throughout the programme.
2. Event & Training Coordination
Organise and coordinate events, webinars, and training sessions, ensuring logistics such as hospitality, room layout, equipment setup, and course materials are properly managed.
Liaise with consultants and the Communications Team and oversee the smooth running of all relevant webinars, workshops and events.
Develop and maintain accurate records of all learning and development activities, including tracking attendance and ensuring timely follow-up with participants.
Coordinate offsite events and support the Programme Manager in event planning and delivery.
3. Administrative Support & System Management
Work closely with learning and development partners to design, communicate, and implement administrative procedures for both in-house and external training courses.
Establish and manage systems and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Agbero 2100’s learning development services, including managing programme information securely.
Maintain accurate documentation and processes for all programme activities, including contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
Coordinate programme data with stakeholders and support the Programme Manager with information collection for decision-making.
4. Data Collection & Impact Reporting
Collect, collate, analyse, and share both qualitative and quantitative data to measure and showcase the programme’s impact.
Ensure evaluation forms are completed and returned for each session/event, contributing to learning and development needs analysis based on feedback.
Support the CWB Programme Manager in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports and maintaining accurate records of data collection methods and analysis techniques for future reference.
Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and security standards in managing sensitive programme information.
5. Stakeholder & Partner Management
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with external training providers and partners.
Coordinate the work and meetings of programme stakeholders and partners, including minute-taking and maintaining positive relationships with the Communications team.
Gather partner agreements, consultancy agreements, and contracts, working with Agbero Programme Manager and finance to issue invoices and chase outstanding payments.
6. Financial & Resource Management
Raise purchase requisition orders, track payments for training providers, and ensure timely processing of payments.
Manage and maintain the programme’s training calendar, ensuring full completion within targeted timescales and timely updates to the Programme Management team.
7. Inclusivity, Health & Safety, and Compliance
Promote a workplace culture of respect, dignity, and fairness, challenging all forms of discrimination and prejudice.
Comply with the organisations safeguarding policy and practice at all times and undertake trainings on safeguarding as required.
Maintain awareness of health and safety, complying with Ubele’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
