Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.
Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking fo a Supported Accommodation Worker who will support the 5 Housemates to learn the skills they require to live independently, whilst ensuring the accommodation is a safe and homely environment to live in. The role will require a reasonable degree of flexibility, to respond to the needs of the house. This may include changes to working patterns or additional ‘sleep in’ nights’’ paid at an additional rate.’’support.

You will help co-ordinate and deliver a solution focused training package, that encourages the young person to take responsibility for all areas of their lives and promote healthy, successful outcomes. You will support them to achieve a successful move on in their life and you will be instrumental in ensuring that those living in the house accept and abide by the house rules.

The challenges they face can test even the most resilient and they often lack the support needed to see them through difficult times; leaving them stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. What will you be doing?

Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

Be involved in the screening and interview process of potential new Housemates.

Build a professional and trusting relationship with the young people to enable to them to engage with the support and improve their situation and prospects.

Provide 1-1 and group support and opportunities to learn identified life skills for independent living, using a range of tools and skills, including hyh’s ASDAN training package.

To identify any risk factors and ensure appropriate measures are in place.

Sleep at the accommodation overnight on an adhoc basis and in the case of an emergency or organsiational need. An additional payment will be made to cover for any overnight shifts required,

Report any safeguarding (child protection) concerns to your line-manager and refer as appropriate

About the Development Research and Data Officer role
Our Development Research and Data Officer helps to ensure long-term fundraising success for National Museums Scotland by maximising the use of the CRM database and developing the prospect pipeline for campaigns and revenue fundraising. Voluntary Action Harrow Co-operative work with the local community providing information, training and guidance.
Based in Harrow, we are a not-for-profit co-operative owned by our workers. We have in-depth knowledge of the local area and of who’s doing what. Our members collectively have over 35 years’ experience in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, specialising in capacity building in a variety of different organisational development areas.

About the Role:
In this role, you will drive the production and analysis of the quarterly restricted funding KPI reports, use your analytical expertise to ensure data quality and accuracy, and identify opportunities to improve our restricted funding management information tools. You will also contribute to the socialisation of our underlying restricted funding business process, in collaboration with the wider team and the WaterAid Programme System team.
You'll also:
- Lead on the bi-annual development, production and detailed analysis of restricted funding Key Performance Indicator reports (KPIs) for restricted income generation and management with support from the Power Bi team and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Support the Head of PFP in funding data analysis for board reports and adhoc reporting requests.
- Lead on the production of restricted funding reports to support the organisational performance framework and/or as required to improve visibility and accountability of restricted funding performance
- Lead on identifying restricted funding data quality checks and controls to ensure WAPS restricted funding data is as clean as possible and liaise with the relevant WAPS team lead to support on regular data audits.
- Regular review and refresh of restricted funding management information tools to ensure they are useful and innovative.

The charity is 9 years old, and initially started its work in Blackpool, the community facing the highest multiple deprivation in the country, before starting to scale. After slow and steady growth in our early years, a combination of our reputation, growing evidence, and the increased demand for place based change has seen our rate of growth rising in recent years. We are looking for a dynamic, organised and responsive International Programmes Support Co-ordinator. Kinship care often begins in crisis. A child has parents who are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It can be frightening, confusing and heart-breaking.

The Peer Support and Community team at Kinship is dedicated to enhancing the lives of kinship carers across England and Wales by delivering the first national peer support service. With a focus on building and sustaining networks of peer support groups, the team aims to empower kinship carers through access to resources, training, and development opportunities.
By fostering connections within local, regional, and national ecosystems, the team plays a vital role in ensuring that every kinship carer has access to a supportive community.
As part of our commitment to growth and impact, the team develops innovative approaches to peer support, creating an inclusive environment where kinship carers can share experiences and access essential services. We prioritize collaboration across various departments, ensuring that support group leaders receive high-quality advice and training, facilitating their sustainability and effectiveness. About the role
This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.
You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.
Funded by the Department of Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an individual located in easy reach of Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire, who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:
· Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
· Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives
· Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the development of safe and effective support services for the kinship community.
· Maintain current Peer Support Group levels, taking the lead from the national Hub.
· Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products.
You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.
As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.
You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.
As you establish new groups, you will provide support and training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.
We are ideally looking for candidates based in easy reach of Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire. Key development areas for this post will initially include; Oldham, Bury, Tameside, Doncaster, York and the East Riding of Yorkshire. You may be required to support the development of groups in North Lincolnshire. This role may also involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated Development staff.
An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Service delivery:
- In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
- Set up and develop sustainable in person peer support groups, initially attending and leading sessions in person before transition to self-sufficiency.
- Working with existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support that need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreement, in addition to new groups. Targets are subject to change and are not fixed.
- Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups.

As an Older Person Service Manager at the Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the housing management and support services for their older residents. Further key responsibilities are listed below:

Manage the day-to-day operations of housing facilities for older individuals, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Be responsible for upholding behavioral standards and dealing cases of anti-social behaviour within the service.

Work across multiple teams, ensuring that standards are maintained for repairs, refurbishments, and grounds maintenance.

Coordinate and oversee support services tailored to the needs of older residents, including health care, social activities, and general assistance.

Foster a sense of community among residents through organising and promoting social events, activities, and support groups.

Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of care and satisfaction among residents.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and legally sound environment for residents.
In order to be successful in application for their Older Person Service Manager role, you will need to be highly organised, with great administration skills. Being a strong communicator across different channels (face to face and digitally) is crucial to keep engagement high with their residents, as well as being confident in your digital skills.
Their Older Person Service Manager position is a scheme-based, part-time position, contracted to 30 hours per week in Gainsborough.

Stop Domestic Abuse is an innovative and unique provider of all services to those affected by domestic abuse. They provide inclusive domestic abuse services for adults and children living in Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton (population 1.9 million).
As Business Development Director, you will work as a key member of Stop Domestic Abuse’s Executive Leadership Team delivering the organisation’s strategic plans, focusing on securing and managing contracts and grants, management and business development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, developing and delivering the income generation and fundraising strategy.
- Drive growth and business opportunities for Stop Domestic Abuse by leading on and developing new proposals for contracts, tenders, and grant applications; ensuring a strong business case and measurable outcomes.
- Develop new business lines which contribute income to support the Stop Domestic Abuse’s aspirations and core functions
- Lead on successful responses for Pre-qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITT), grant applications and tender presentations.
- Sustain existing and develop new partnerships with key stakeholders across the sector.
- Lead on, and explore new high value income generation strategies, i.e. high net worth donors, corporate and business sponsorship, individual giving programmes, payroll giving, trading, etc and developing inspiring, motivating, advising and supporting local community groups to raise awareness and to generate income locally.
- Engage local media and develop PR. Leading on the development and creation of high-quality marketing, communication, and promotional tools.
- Take on Data Protection Officer and responsible person for Health and Safety matters and compliance.
- Act as an ambassador for Stop Domestic Abuse, continuing to develop a positive image of the charity with service users, stakeholders and the local community.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification (business management, management & leadership, fundraising, data & reporting) or proven track record in management with a particular focus on the women’s sector/domestic violence sector/community and voluntary sector.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the current funding landscape and evidence of successfully developing opportunities to obtain new funding sources is key, as is a strong knowledge of GDPR, data protection, confidentiality, EEDI and Health and Safety. You must also have a proven track record in developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring strategic, operational, business and fundraising plans, with a background in developing and executing an income generation strategy. Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in developing/delivering communications across multiple outlets is also crucial.
You must have the ability to lead, enthuse and inspire a team, using personal warmth and humour with the ability to be authoritative yet willing to take account of the views of others and be responsive to them. Proven ability to effectively build the organisation and manage staff capacity, developing a high performing team to ensure the organisation runs smoothly is a must, as is excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong presentational and influencing abilities.
