Brent Food Bank can only function effectively with a core of volunteers and links with agencies in Brent. As the Food Bank becomes busier and as its services grow the Development Lead will be responsible for promoting engagement and development of our referral agencies, enhancing the processes within the foodbank, leading one session per week and some fundraising working with the committee and other paid staff. Key Responsibilities:
1. Management and Delivery
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training in woodwork, metalwork and other Arts.

4. Fundraising and Financial Oversight
• Lead fundraising efforts to secure funding from diverse sources, including grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.
• Oversee the preparation of funding applications and reports for donors and grant-making bodies.
• Maintain financial oversight, ensuring effective use of resources, monitoring expenses, and reporting financial performance to the Board, using “Quickbooks” as the primary accounting and reporting tool.
• Increase the charity’s social media presence.
• Improve branding and awareness of Skillway’s and it’s aims and purpose.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, schools, community groups, donors, and business partners.
• Represent the charity in public and at events, advocating for the charity's mission and the importance of vocational education for vulnerable young people.
• Ensure the charity’s work is widely known and respected in the community.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Implement systems for monitoring and evaluating the success of the training programmes
• Gather feedback from participants, staff, and stakeholders to assess programme effectiveness and make improvements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Trustees, funders, and other stakeholders on the charity’s impact and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within the charity or education sector.
• Background in vocational education, youth work, or a related field, with a focus on supporting vulnerable young people.
• Experience in leading and managing a diverse team, with the ability to inspire, support, and develop staff.

About the role
The income processing officer will take the lead in maintaining and optimising our fundraising income processes. This is a new role, which will be at the forefront of ensuring our income processes are efficient, comply with Gift Aid regulations, meet PCI compliance standards and contribute towards the best possible supporter experience.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teams across the charity, communicating with colleagues at all levels. They’ll build relationships with internal and external colleagues, including managing the relationship with our Gift Aid volunteers.

The Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) Manager is responsible for managing ongoing support to food banks as they organise and campaign for change. This varied, proactive, and fast-paced role will involve working closely with grant funded Local Organisers as part of the Trussell Trust’s Organising Programme, frequently visiting food banks and delivering online and in person training.
You will hold responsibility for providing direct support as food banks develop effective campaign strategies – covering local and Trussell Trust priorities – and ensuring they have the capacity, skills, and resources to deliver them. You will also work closely with other departments at the Trussell Trust and external partners to support food banks outside of the Organising Programme to influence locally and play a leading role in mobilising them to campaign for change.
Role responsibilities
· Network area-wide delivery of the Organising Programme
Lead and manage the delivery of OLM’s Organising Programme in your network area, recruiting food banks to join, providing in-person and online training and ongoing relational support to Local Organisers to ensure campaign strategies are developed and delivered. Organise and lead area-wide training, clusters, or events for food bank staff and volunteers to promote co-operation and sharing of good practice around local influencing.
· Training, Learning and programme development
Play a key role in the design and delivery of a programme of training and other learning for food banks covering organising, mobilising, and influencing. Contributing to impact and process evaluations and assisting food banks involved to explore future sources of funding, as required.
· Supporting food banks to influence locally
Empower food banks to develop their local influencing work, triaging influencing issues and managing input from other relevant Trussell experts to provide ongoing support that enables the food banks to progress their influencing work.
· Mobilising food banks in the Trussell Trust’s campaigns
Support the development and promotion of national Trussell policy campaigns, working with other teams and external partners to engage the food banks you support in taking action – including how they might take ownership of campaigns locally and help shape those priorities.
· Internal stakeholder engagement
Project manage OLM’s involvement in assigned cross-organisational projects – e.g. a policy campaign or strategic project, ensuring the OLM tam are consulted, negotiating with other teams and making decisions accordingly. As part of an area-based matrix team you’ll work closely with other food bank facing staff to ensure a joined-up approach to food bank support, effective communication, as well as sharing learning and best practice.
· External stakeholder engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with food bank leaders, staff, volunteers, and trustees, as well as establishing effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders such as local authorities, community organisations, and churches.
Person Specification
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
· Experience of delivering organising work and / or campaigning for change at a grassroots, local and / or national level.
· Excellent knowledge and understanding of the political landscape of your assigned area.
· A confident communicator with the ability to successfully influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders, including food bank staff and volunteers, local authorities, community organisations, and churches.
· Knowledge and experience of a wide range of campaigning tactics, campaign planning and developing theories of change.
· Ability to develop and deliver training for organisers, trustees, staff and volunteers from food banks, including event management.

Since 2009, The Orchard Project has brought over 640 orchards into the heart of urban communities, specifically in areas of high deprivation where there is limited access to nature. Local people are trained in the skills needed to care for orchards, ensuring they remain viable for generations to come. The charity has grown from a London-based project to become the country's national community orchard charity with hubs across England, Wales and Scotland, and a core staff team based in London and across the UK. As well as support for community groups, The Orchard Project run accredited training programmes in orchard management and forest gardening, and project work takes place in a range of settings including prisons, schools and in the diverse communities that we serve.
The new Operations and Data Manager will support staff with improved admin systems and data management and develop more sophisticated systems, such as the database and online processes, to enable The Orchard Project to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
* Administrative and Organisational Support: Coordinate HR processes, manage contracts, handle enquiries, and support logistics for meetings and events. Provide general administrative assistance, including data entry and minute-taking.
* Salesforce and Data Management: Lead Salesforce CRM management, enhance workflows, and provide staff training. Maintain accurate data records, support fundraising, and develop systems for measuring and sharing impact.
* Systems and Tools Management: Manage Microsoft 365 for team collaboration, provide IT troubleshooting, and ensure efficient use of shared tools and resources.
The Operations and Data Manager will have previous experience of working in an administrative or similar role. The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Microsoft 365 and a good working knowledge of IT and cloud-based systems. You will have experience of prioritising and managing a complex workload, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be highly organised and detailed orientated. You will have good communication skills to manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and able to coach and train others.
You will be an "all-rounder" with a can-do attitude and comfortable working in a remote organisation and willing to lead on all administration for a small charity. You will be able to work independently and flexibly to meet the day-to-day needs of the charity and also a strong team player. You will have a genuine passion for using IT systems to improve work life for colleagues.

This role is responsible for the administration of the Funding Management team who manage The Trusts Restricted Funding income portfolio. ensuring that we are meeting all the Funders and The Trusts requirements. As a Funding Management Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting a range of administrative processes, along with supporting with compiling funder financial claims and reporting requirements. The role also includes maintaining restricted funds databases and spreadsheets, uploading supporting evidence to funder portals and preparing documents inline with funder requirements.
You will use your knowledge and skills of Microsoft Excel and CRM’s to ensure that data is managed and maintained accurately and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including attending meetings, taking minutes.
